The receptionist who does the scheduling needs to find a new job. After being enormously inconvenienced by her, she also inconvenienced someone else when I was there in the office for my rescheduled appointment. Another thing I didn't really care for is the fact that they take your animal away from you for certain treatments. And don't allow you to come along. They leave the owner locked in a waiting room. Strange. Other then these two issues I personally have. The vet and staff. Other than who answers the phones and makes appointments. Are all friendly and nice and good at what they do. I called in Monday morning after getting a new horse on the prior Saturday evening. I wanted to schedule a time that a vet could come out and look at my new horse. I spoke to the receptionist. She was very rude. She chuckled and said, why didn't you schedule a vet before you got your horse? I just got her on the weekend so no vet's office was open. She then proceeded to tell me that their vet probably would not see me and would refer me to Purdue. I asked why would they do such a thing when I just needed a vet to come out and take a look at my horse. She said that Purdue treats horses and that there's hardly anyone in this area that treats horses on site. I would never go here after this call with her. She kept asking why I was calling there when I didn't bring my other animals there. Seriously, everyone is a new client at some point in their animals care. I was told I would get a call back from their vet, which never happened. Very disappointed with this call after I saw so many good reviews. This was not my experience. Read Less

We took our dog there for treatments twice for urinary tract infections, second trip we were told a $1,000+ operation they THOUGHT would correct the problem, may only be $900 at another veterinary clinic. Like they think EVERYONE in Hamilton county can just reach into their pocket and pull out $1,000 - $1,500 to pay for a minor, 20 minute or so operation on a six year old canine. We ended up having to surrender our dog back to the Humane society. Unless actions are taken to rectify the veterinary practices from the same " your money for your life" platform and mantra of human medial practices, and " treatments" instead of CURES, more animals will be returned, surrendered or worse as people will be unable to " feed the greed" . New to area! Getting our dog groomed they recommend Herrmann clinic. He and his staff are so friendly and helpful. Our miniature Schnauzer (9 1/2 yrs) had a pingball sized bladder stone removed, she was home next day and within 4-5 days was acting like a puppy!! We have been using Dr. Hermann since the start of the Mobile Vet Unit. That was about 2000. 16 years later, they are now stationary & moblie. Have expanded to 2 additional Vets. They are the absolute best ever! The most caring, loving, & through, We have ever encountered! We would never use anyone else! My one daughter makes a 45minute trip one way to still see them. I've used several vets in Hamilton county with mixed results. Jason Herrmann is the best veterinarian I've found. The staff at Veterinary clinic are incredible, professional. It's very obvious from the minute you walk in they do what they do because they genuinely care about animals. Read Less
