I can't say enough great things about Dr. Rock and the staff. I have lost 3 cats in 5 months and the kindness and caring shown us while our hearts are breaking is amazing. On more than one occasion we have been squeezed in at the last minute and we are never made to feel rushed or like we are taking up too much time in what I know is a very busy day. Great environment, went in to get a consultation for a cleaning on my baby boy's teeth, a little steep but Dr. Huffer was very considerate of my financial situation and very helpful with finding ways to keep the cost of shots down. As well as being very gentle with my Kia. Mindy was also very helpful and great with him as well. All of my last vets made me feel like a criminal for asking for low cost options for my pets but FPHC actually helps. Mariah gave me great advice for future visits with them and was very helpful with my budget ting needs. Will definitely be taking all five of my pets to them from now on. Read Less

My husband and I spent 3 hours with just 3 of babies at Family Pet Healt Center. I can't tell you how Excited I am!!! First off Mindy our new vet tech is awesome. She came in sat on the floor with me. Babe sat on her lap the whole time and help her take notes! Lol She asked what avenue we are looking for and what they offer. You can tell she loves her job and has total respect for Dr. Stephanie. Dr Stephanie listened to my list of concerns and gave Terry and I some answers and new things to try!!! For my small bred of dogs a smaller dose for vaccinations!!!, oils and some other alternative remedies!!! We will be doing Titer on all dogs that have been previously vaccinated! Finally someone that listens to me, to what I want for "My Dogs"!!! Holistic approach first!!! Yay finally!!! I feel now we are on the right path! The are so friendly and helpful. I love this place. Best vet ever!!!!!!!!! Dr stephanie is the best. I took my cat to the Cat Care Clinic, they did not figure out what was wrong with vader. I took him in to the family pet health center and she knew what was wrong right away. I took my other cat and dog in and she did them both in the same visit. And the cost for all three animals was less than one cat that didn't get diagnosed at the cat care clinic. Every body take your pets here!!!!!!!!! Read Less

My husband and I have brought our 3 furry babies to Family Pet Health for at least the last 8 years. As our dogs have aged, they have always been taken care of with great patience and compassion by not only the doctors but the entire staff. Over the years we have always felt that if we were concerned, the staff at Family was concerned not only for our babies but for us as their parents. The vets are very kind-hearted in times of sadness, they're very professional in their treatments and diagnosis of issues, the new facility is AMAZING, and in general, I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! My friend took her new kitten there, and they treated her for an upper respiratory infection. When she didn't get better, they told her to bring her back and kept her the entire weekend from Friday until she got a call to go pick her up mid afternoon Monday. They told her one lung was clear and one was still congested but to take her home. Within twelve hours the poor kitten died. Oh, and my friend paid a $532 vet bill. Truly question the quality of care this kitten was given and why she was sent home when she was still so very sick. Read Less

I'm very disappointed with this clinic. We recently moved here and chose this clinic based upon the rave reviews and its close proximity to our home. We took our dog and cat in a month ago for the first time. They cleaned our cat's ears so roughly that he was misrrable. We called them for advice and was told the vet would call us back, which he never did. Today, our dog is having problems, we called and were told the soonest they can see him is Monday. How would YOU like to wait days for medical care when you're ill? Our pets are our children and we demand the best for them. This place is not the best by far, so we will be finding a new clinic to go to. Read Less

I saw Dr. Rensberger at the clinic since my puppy I just got from a rescue had  demodetic mange. I had a different vet close to our home whom I really liked, but her treatment was the conventional pesticide dip. After the first dip, I couldn't have him go through more dips as prescribed - he became very lethargic for the next 3 days, his paws cracked and would be limping when I took him for a walk. I googled around and took him to see Dr. Rensberger. He was given vitamins and additional nutrition to strengthen his immune system. I also put some ointment and use special shampoo on him; after a month, his coat cleared up nicely. No more mange; he's not scratching anymore.... he's a happy dog now....:-). Oh, and my dog loves being at the clinic.... his tail will keep wagging. I guess he knows people are very caring and friendly there. I live far from the clinic, but I'd not mind the distance at all..... two thumbs up for the clinic and the care of Dr. Rensberger there ! Read Less

Bring my dog here whenever I'm in town.  I travel between Chicago and the "Michiana" area frequently.  I've always gotten excellent treatment for my dog, very thorough, compassionate care.  They are excellent at keeping my Chicago vet (Ace Animal Hospital) informed of any treatment he receives.  My dog has many health issues and they have always done as much as possible to keep him healthy and happy.  They also have an amazing new vet who specializes in dental care.  The only reason I rated it 4 stars is because they are no longer open on weekends.
