I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Neuhoff and her team of experts!! They helped me so much! While COVID-19 was in full affect my dog had a cancerous tumor growing on the left side of his bottom jaw. I called emergency animal hospitals first because the tumor was growing so rapidly but they could not help me and informed me to contact a veterinarians office. Then I struggled to get him an appointment until I called Ireland Animal Clinic, they actually listen to me and understood how bad things were getting in such a short amount of time. They got me in right away and my dog had to get a Partial Mandibulectomy preformed by Dr.Neuhoff at Magrane Pet Medical Center. He is now cancer free! He is also missing half of his bottom jaw but he had no problems, it does not affect him, and he eats normal dry dog food. He back to his normal (very hyper) self within a week post op. Dr. Neuhoff was so informative she educated me on everything that was going on. I will not go anywhere else! They also VERY affordable. Definitely 5 stars! Read Less

Not impressed. Brought my cat in because he could not hold any food or water down. I was there for 2 hours had two x-rays taken and waited and waited but was able to over hear the gossip of the office staff very well. Oh and no doc was there which they didn't tell me. I figured this out after they took x-rays and couldn't give me any information other than my cat's small intestines are "enlarged for some reason." They sent me to there main clinic for further diagnoses. So out $200 and no useful information. I would not recommend them. But the other clinic they sent me to is fantastic learned more in 5 mins at Magrane Pet Medical Center than I did in 2 hours at Ireland Animal Clinic Read Less

I moved here last summer and took my dog to them for vaccinations. He had been to our old vet many times and never had a problem, but he was terrified of this place for some reason, and showed fear aggression (he was so afraid, he peed himself). The vet said he was aggressive because he is a pit bull mix. She had him muzzled, which only traumatized him more. She also opined that he should be an "only dog." (We were preparing to adopt another dog from the local shelter.) ... When I tried to explain that he had never acted that way before, she said that pit bulls sometimes don't show their "true nature" until they are older. Breathtaking ignorance. How can a veterinarian 1) have such idiotic ideas about a breed and 2) not recognize the difference between fear aggression and real aggression? I don't know if my dog is a pit mix or not, but you certainly can't tell from behavior, as any reputable vet or trainer would agree. I adopted the other dog, and they're fine together (as I knew they would be), and they're fine at the dog park and with other dogs that visit my home. Apparently his "true nature" went back into hiding the minute we walked out of that place. The rest of the vets might be all right, I have no idea, but they hired and continue to employ this person who should not be working with dogs at all. I was absolutely stunned at the nonsense that came out of her mouth, and I will never go back there, and I will warn everyone else away too. See More Read Less

My dogs have been patients here for 6 years. I agree that the old vet (who has since passed away) did miss obvious diagnoses and once, even gave me medical advice that was the exact opposite of what he should have advised. My dachshund came in with a suspected disk rupture-- instead of telling me to crate him he advised me to walk the dog-- the bad advice and failure to provide a timely referral ultimately resulted in an emergency back surgery at Purdue. He was a very nice vet, but I think he wasn't quite on top of his game, professionally speaking. That said, the new doctors are better. They are thorough in their exams and the place is cleaner now and doesn't smell animal waste. However, the receptionist (Darla?) is probably the rudest person I have ever met. She acts as if she is out to win an award for how to be the rudest, least accommodating person on the planet. And because I have to deal with her whenever I call to schedule an appointment or whenever I check out, I've decided to find a new vet. I can only handle so much rudeness. She does not improve with time. Bottom line, new vets are excellent, but the reception is horrific. Much better to go to the vets' other office-- Magrane Clinic-- same docs but pleasant staff. Win Win. Read Less
