I usually do not write reviews; however, South Bend Animal Clinic deserves to be recognized. They have wonderful, caring, and friendly staff, but I want to give a shout out to Laura, Tiffany, and Dr....
I usually do not write reviews; however, South Bend Animal Clinic deserves to be recognized. They have wonderful, caring, and friendly staff, but I want to give a shout out to Laura, Tiffany, and Dr. Ducan. My dog was recently sick and he needed emergency surgery done. They did an amazing job caring for my dog. I do have to say it sucks that they are not 24 hours, as my dog needed to be hospitalized for 24 hours. However, Dr. Ducan talked about all the possible options with me, and where I could take my dog to have the procedure done. I had little knowledge on the surgery, and how to care for my dog after surgery. Dr. Ducan gave me all the resources I possibly needed; I did some research, and called around. Yet, I did not feel as safe, as I felt with the staff at South Bend Animal Clinic. The staff and Dr. Ducan were very patient with me, and answered the million questions I had. It is obvious; it's not all about money to them. They will take well care of your pet, trust me. Veterinary visits can be very pricey, but this place is worth it. I live about 15 minutes away from this location; I live closer to Western Animal Clinic on SR 2. They wanted to charge me $130 just to see my dog, for an emergency visit, on top of whatever he needed done; mind you he was already being seen there too. I gave the place a try, and did not like there service at all. I believe my dog received the best care at South Bend Animal Clinic. South Bend Animal Clinic was able to fit my dog in their schedule twice, and they did not charge me this ridiculous amount just to see my dog. I will continue to take my dog here. Also, they do a waaaaay better job of trimming my dogs nails compared to Western Animal Clinic. Thank you South Bend Animal Clinic and staff

I was told to try this place. The first time I took my puppy here for her shots the Dr stuck my puppy and she moved causing the needle to cut my puppy. Because my puppy moved and cried Dr Jennifer put on her medical records aggressive. Hello it's a puppy you stuck with a needle. They cleaned the blood up off the floor. The second time I got someone else and they were good with my puppy. I decided to try their nail care for her. They put a muzzle on her and that was when I found out about the aggressive label. I was not happy. She didn't even act out but they wouldn't take that label off her records. I have been told just bring her in for nail trimming then I'm told you have to make an appointment. The prices are always changing for that also.

The staff was super nice. They made both of our dogs Maggie and Jasper feel at ease and, their humans! they answered every question to the best of their ability. Even if I thought the question was a silly one. But, even more they went over every bit of information that we needed to know that went with their vaccinations. And, on our first visit sent our poches home with a free sample of heart worm and flea n tick guard. They even made the expiriance less stressful on our wallet. We couldn't ask for better docs for our baby's. Thank you

I've had many dogs over the years and have used several veterinarians in the area. I recently was taking my dogs to Roseland Animal Hospital and after being ripped off several times, I decided to take my newly adopted adult kitty somewhere else. When she got sick, I found this place online. I'm so glad I did. The place was very clean, although old fashion, which tells me they don't rip people off for a fancy remodel job (Roseland). The staff was down to earth and actually cared about my kitty. The veterinarian spent a lot of time talking to me during and after the examination. I didn't feel rushed and I didn't walk out of there paying a huge bill for a million tests and no answers (Roseland). I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bunny. I will be taking all of them here for check ups and otherwise.

We love the SB Animal Clinic. I have brought my dog here since he was adopted almost three years ago. The entire staff is great - front desk, vet techs and vets. They are patient with my dog who doesn't like toe nail trims or shots, but they love him just the same. They have worked with me to deal with his separation anxiety too. Our second dog will start coming here too. I have never had any trouble getting an appointment. Saturday hours make my life easier too. All around great experience with them.

I have always took my dog there since I've had him and really never had a problem besides of how expensive they are. Couple months ago my dog had got a skin infection and i of course took him in to get some medicine, and the medicine worked very well! Recently i had notice he is starting to get a skin infection again similar to what he had few months ago, i had called today to see if i could get that prescription refilled that worked for him the first time an the lady said the only way i could get the prescription filled is if i bring the dog in, an they see for themselves. I now realized that these people only want your money an could careless about your pet. Its a waste of my time and money to bring my dog down there so they can tell me that he has a skin infection. I most definitely will be taking my dog to a different vet that's more affordable for now on an suggest people to do the same.

I've been taking Brody to the South Bend Animal Clinic for four years now and I take him in just to visit as well. They have the friendliest staff and seem to enjoy seeing him. I'm one of those owners that has "new mom syndrome" so they put up with me and always seem to make me feel calm about my pet. I would always recommend them to others seeking medical attention for their pets.

A few days ago a stray kitten laid paralyzed next to my neighbor's pool. My neighbor came over to ask my advice. I didn't know she was paralyzed until something started causing her severe pain. She circled around with her upper body but was unable to move her back end. Her brother kitten peaked his head out from behind the grill and started crying for her. I knew we had to take her to the Animal Emergency Clinic. I tried to regain my composure to call the clinic. As soon as the woman answered, I lost it and started crying to the staff member. She was so nice and patient while I tried to explain everything. I was crying over a stray cat, most likely a barn cat, that I didn't want to suffer anymore. She told me what the fees would be to put the kitten down, and it was a bit of money... especially for a stray cat. My neighbor had called as well, and decided that no matter the cost, it was the right thing to do. She took the kitten in, they confirmed that she was paralyzed, and they let her go peacefully. My neighbor said the staff told her she did the right thing because the kitten had probably been in pain for at least 24 hours. She said the staff was so kind to her, and they didn't charge her as much as they said they would. I'm beyond impressed. Thank you.

We have had nothing but great experiences at the SB Animal Clinic. Both the ladies at the front as well as the vet are both very nice and professional. We took both of our dogs here multiple times over the past couple of months for shots, yearly check-ups as well as an emergency when our dachshund decided to chew an electrical cord. Each time they did a great job taking care of them and their prices weren't too expensive, though we are used to California prices so not sure how they compare to South Bend.

The staff was rude. One older, larger lady, who could not run the computer and started taking it out on clients. She had trouble scheduling. She was rude right from the start, so I didn't take it personally. The facility was run down, and although the doctor was very nice and appeared knowledgeable, he was very much an older fellow and I would not trust any surgery do be by this guy. I hope he able to retire soon.The one star was because they overcharged me by over $50! I was extremely disappoint when they boasted they were "the cheapest around," and then nickel and dimes me when I came in. The quote on the phone was $50 HIGHER than the actual price. If I'm going to spend more money, I'm going to go to a place that deserves it!

The staff was super nice. They made both of our dogs Maggie and Jasper feel at ease and, their humans! they answered every question to the best of their ability. Even if I thought the question was a silly one. But, even more they went over every bit of information that we needed to know that went with their vaccinations. And, on our first visit sent our poches home with a free sample of heart worm and flea n tick guard. They even made the expiriance less stressful on our wallet. We couldn't ask for better docs for our baby's. Thank you

I've had many dogs over the years and have used several veterinarians in the area. I recently was taking my dogs to Roseland Animal Hospital and after being ripped off several times, I decided to take my newly adopted adult kitty somewhere else. When she got sick, I found this place online. I'm so glad I did. The place was very clean, although old fashion, which tells me they don't rip people off for a fancy remodel job (Roseland). The staff was down to earth and actually cared about my kitty. The veterinarian spent a lot of time talking to me during and after the examination. I didn't feel rushed and I didn't walk out of there paying a huge bill for a million tests and no answers (Roseland). I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bunny. I will be taking all of them here for check ups and otherwise.

We love the SB Animal Clinic. I have brought my dog here since he was adopted almost three years ago. The entire staff is great - front desk, vet techs and vets. They are patient with my dog who doesn't like toe nail trims or shots, but they love him just the same. They have worked with me to deal with his separation anxiety too. Our second dog will start coming here too. I have never had any trouble getting an appointment. Saturday hours make my life easier too. All around great experience with them.

I have always took my dog there since I've had him and really never had a problem besides of how expensive they are. Couple months ago my dog had got a skin infection and i of course took him in to get some medicine, and the medicine worked very well! Recently i had notice he is starting to get a skin infection again similar to what he had few months ago, i had called today to see if i could get that prescription refilled that worked for him the first time an the lady said the only way i could get the prescription filled is if i bring the dog in, an they see for themselves. I now realized that these people only want your money an could careless about your pet. Its a waste of my time and money to bring my dog down there so they can tell me that he has a skin infection. I most definitely will be taking my dog to a different vet that's more affordable for now on an suggest people to do the same.

I've been taking Brody to the South Bend Animal Clinic for four years now and I take him in just to visit as well. They have the friendliest staff and seem to enjoy seeing him. I'm one of those owners that has "new mom syndrome" so they put up with me and always seem to make me feel calm about my pet. I would always recommend them to others seeking medical attention for their pets.

A few days ago a stray kitten laid paralyzed next to my neighbor's pool. My neighbor came over to ask my advice. I didn't know she was paralyzed until something started causing her severe pain. She circled around with her upper body but was unable to move her back end. Her brother kitten peaked his head out from behind the grill and started crying for her. I knew we had to take her to the Animal Emergency Clinic. I tried to regain my composure to call the clinic. As soon as the woman answered, I lost it and started crying to the staff member. She was so nice and patient while I tried to explain everything. I was crying over a stray cat, most likely a barn cat, that I didn't want to suffer anymore. She told me what the fees would be to put the kitten down, and it was a bit of money... especially for a stray cat. My neighbor had called as well, and decided that no matter the cost, it was the right thing to do. She took the kitten in, they confirmed that she was paralyzed, and they let her go peacefully. My neighbor said the staff told her she did the right thing because the kitten had probably been in pain for at least 24 hours. She said the staff was so kind to her, and they didn't charge her as much as they said they would. I'm beyond impressed. Thank you.

We have had nothing but great experiences at the SB Animal Clinic. Both the ladies at the front as well as the vet are both very nice and professional. We took both of our dogs here multiple times over the past couple of months for shots, yearly check-ups as well as an emergency when our dachshund decided to chew an electrical cord. Each time they did a great job taking care of them and their prices weren't too expensive, though we are used to California prices so not sure how they compare to South Bend.

The staff was rude. One older, larger lady, who could not run the computer and started taking it out on clients. She had trouble scheduling. She was rude right from the start, so I didn't take it personally. The facility was run down, and although the doctor was very nice and appeared knowledgeable, he was very much an older fellow and I would not trust any surgery do be by this guy. I hope he able to retire soon.The one star was because they overcharged me by over $50! I was extremely disappoint when they boasted they were "the cheapest around," and then nickel and dimes me when I came in. The quote on the phone was $50 HIGHER than the actual price. If I'm going to spend more money, I'm going to go to a place that deserves it!
