The Thorntown Veterinary Clinic staff provide a fantastic service of keeping our animals the best they can be. The mere fact that I trust them to care for these family members says it all--they do a great job and my pets and I are the beneficiaries of their conscientious approach to their work. It is a pleasure to watch them interact with animals as well as people. Our library cat was near death when I rescued him a couple of years ago, and now he is a healthy, happy greeter of all who visit the library. The staff is always so nice and helpful when we visit. My Lilly hates car rides but is excited when we mention taking her to see Dr Jon. The techs are great at cutting her nails which is doesn’t like. I joined one of their wellness plans and thanks to that it has helped with the cost of monthly medications and routine visits. This was my first time using this clinic and will continue to take my pet and all of my future pets here. I did not feel rushed and they called a few times after my dogs surgery to make sure he was okay. The staff was super friendly and acted like they knew me my whole life. The dr. was very thorough and answered all of my questions without acting like it was a hassle. I'm thinking about having my dog fake an illness just so I can go back and visit. My dog's groomer is at this location. The reason we visited that vet a cpl of weeks ago had nothing to do with grooming though. My son's maltipoo wiggled her way off of his lap and onto the floor. She hurt her back leg and of course our regular vet wasn't in that day. I called Thorntown Vet and they got her in that afternoon!!! I was very pleased the exam she received that day!!! We have been seeing Dr. Jon since Harley "our Great Dane" Became a member of our family nearly 11 years ago. Everyone at the clinic are always kind and personable, remembering his name when we came for a visit, and always making over him. He was a people attracter for sure being a very large breed. Unfortunately this past Saturday was his final visit Harley had become ill and diagnosed with congestive heart failure and his lungs were filling with fluid. We were faced with a extremely difficult decision. We were given all the time we needed to talk and just be with him. Unfortunately with tear filled eyes we had to leave without him. Every one were very consoling. We will pick up his ashes when they are returned. When ever I'm ask by someone for a good veterinary I always recommend the Thorntown Veterinary. I LOVE the care the staff provides! They have taken such good care of my furbabies! Recently my diabetic geriatric cat had the last of his teeth pulled and I was so nervous and worried. The staff put me at ease, called and updated me, sent him home with the medication he needed and he made a quick recovery. By that I mean he was playing, eating/drinking, and running around like he used to. He has been off insulin since his procedure and I couldn't be happier! Read Less

I recently had my nanny goat give birth and it wasn't going well. The vet came by and was a great help and gave me all the information I needed going forward. He has a great bedside manner and is always kind, answering every question I have as a novice goat herder. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Culbertson in the future. A better vet you will not find. We love all the people at the Thorntown Clinic! They are kind, caring and always helpful. I speak (Yap) for my brother, when I say that getting our annual check ups are a piece of cake(dog biscuit), when our annual rolls around. If we have an emergency at any time, there is always a way to get attention, quickly and efficiently. I have had many friends, who are waiting at the rainbow bridge, who have used the Thorntown Clinic, and especially Dr. Jon, over the last twenty five plus years, so if you are looking for a wonderful country Veterinary Clinic, this is the place. P.S. If you expand again, put in more kennels so we can stay more often with you guys, too many times you are full and we don't get to escape from home as often as we would like.
