We love Dr. Carla and Dr. Katie! They, and their staff, are wonderful and caring people. When I sadly had to put down a cat (tumor), Dr. Carla was right beside me, crying just as much as I was. Thank you Dr. Carlton and staff for always being there when we need you! Tonight we made an emergency trip after hours to Warsaw from Plymouth after our dog Echo tangled with a muskrat. Echo received a nasty bite wound that needed cleaned and sutured. We started visiting Lake City Animal Clinic last year when Echo needed laser therapy on her hip and then more therapy over the last few weeks. We (and Echo) have been treated with much kindness and compassion during our visits and have also received great educational materials and advice during all of our visits. We brought our sweet dachshund in for a second opinion on a couple major health issues, not only did they make time for me to bring him in that same day they treated me and my Rowdy with such kindness I will never consider another vet again. Although our outcome was not what we had hoped for, Dr. Carlton offered to stay late so my kids and husband could say goodbye to our treasured friend. Took my dog here after she ate half a bag of dark chocolate. I looked up before going, she ate borderline the lethal limit for a dog her size. I chose to stop here because it was the closest (life-threatening conditions require that sort of thing). She throws up in the car on the way over. I rush in and tell the lady at the counter that my dog ate pretty close to the lethal amount of dark chocolate. I'm over here fearing for her life and the lady just hands me a form to fill out and says I have to hold my dog in my lap since I don't have a leash. One hour and one soiled pair of pants later we finally get in a room. Then the vet wants to take an xray to see how much foil wrapping is in my dog. Half an hour after that, I'm still sitting. Alone. Half-digested chocolate seeping through my pants. Thinking about how I'll never get the smell of the half-digested chocolate out of my car. Nearly vomiting myself because I am now the worst-smelling thing I've been around for a long time. Read Less
