This place is a joke extremely over priced ....took a friend of ours dog there cause of pregnancy complications drove 45 minutes from judson they said if we couldn't pay $1500 out of a $3,000 vet bill we would have to take her home and let her suffer or uthinize her needless to say she was uthinized our friend cried her eyes out ...wanted another $100 before they would uthinize her ...money hungry and unprofessional...it should be less about the money and more about your pet ...DONT TAKE YOUR PET HERE UNLESS YOU WANNA BURY IT AFTERWARDS .... Very professional and caring staff when I brought in my "furry niece" - my sister's dog who had apparently contracted kennel cough while at the vet's grooming kennel. Explained in thorough detail the results, costs as they accrued, what I needed to do for her follow-up care. I greatly appreciated the communication and regular updates as her exam/lab/x-rays progressed. It is frightening when you're asked to bring a pet in based on symptoms you're describing. It is wonderful to have a 24/7 veterinary clinic in our area. Although it is not wonderful to need to use it, when your fur babies are sick or dying. I can say they helped me twice so far over the years, and I am sure will again in the future. The first visit here was heart wrenchingly sad, but they were kind and thoughtful even though Boomer was at the end of his long doggie life - they even sent us a sympathy card sorry for our loss. Recently they helped pull my 8 year old cat back from a sudden onset of congestive heart failure. They gave an estimate before moving forward which I appreciated (note it can be more than initially estimated). Although not cheap, my daughters and I decided it was worth spending some future vacation money on the vet to get to love on our sweet kitty Boots a bit longer. Our regular vet was closed when our 18 year old cat was howling & exhibiting urinary distress; I knew we couldn't wait until the next day for her to be seen. PNC staff was so helpful and caring. I was worried because I heard they were expensive but I have to say I don't think my bill was much more than my regular vet would have been. When I found a wire protruding from my cat's chin on a Sunday morning, I was relieved to find this place open. During the examination, the doctor discovered that my cat had undergone jaw surgery before I found him in 2010. There had been a wire wrapped around his jaw since then! We went to see Dr. Martin for my English mastiffs chronic ear infection... he is normally deathly afraid of going to the vet and since his ear is so painful I can understand. By his reactions from his visit tells me all I need to know about her love of animals and desire to help with these hard cases. The correspondence through email since his visit about diet and any questions I have had pertaining to his visit have been wonderful and immediate. I am definitely a very satisfied client with the thorough exam and explanation of charges and future plans to figure out why my poor pup is in so much agony with these ear infections. I finally feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel and a positive result will eventually be found for my big baby. Brought my boy Logan in. Wasn't a major issue, but something I wanted checked immediately. The doctor and nurse are very professional, friendly and thorough. We had to take our dog Bo there last night. Although the outcome was not the one we hoped for, I know he is in a better place and not suffering any longer. I rushed our little JRT mix in Monday morning at 330. He was suffering profuse bloody diarrhea and bloody vomit. He ingested something toxic...we STILL don't know what it could have been. Dr Wallis, Dr B-the other vets and ALL of the techs were amazing working their magic for 5 days and nights! Jack is alive, home, and back to his sassy, pistol pete, self!!!! Thank you for working with us to save her despite your insistence that euthanasia was her only option if our rescue was not willing to spend thousands to hospitalize a single parvo puppy. In the future I hope you will reconsider your approach to helping clients who cannot afford the gold standard of care but none-the-less love their animal just as much as those who are able to shell out lots of money. I respect and appreciate the value of the veterinary services that you provide; for this very reason I recommend to everyone that they carry pet insurance, as I do on all my own animals so that I am able to provide them with any care that they need when the situation arises. I was not asking you for any handouts with this rescued puppy, I simply requested that you stabilize her and work within our means to provide a reasonable treatment plan. I would love to be in a position where we could provide the gold standard of treatment to every dog we rescue, but as I'm sure you understand that is not a sustainable approach to running a rescue. I was very disappointed with your refusal to work with clients of limited means and feel badly for any client who comes to your clinic for help in a similar situation and does not have the medical background to advocate for their beloved pet.Read Less

Dr. Ross and the excellent doctors and staff saved our dog, Wrigley. He presented with a ruptured tumor and intestine with septic abdomen. The outlook was not good. Dr. Ross performed a 3 hour surgery to remove the tumor and complete the resection. He stayed for 4 days and the girls took the greatest care of him. We went and visited every morning and evening and were put in a room with him to visit. It was expensive, but worth it to save our boy. We are forever thankful and grateful. Read Less

I am totally shocked by the poor reviews here.  I took my little dog in this week after he had gotten very sick after swallowing a corn cob.  It was during the day, and I had called my regular vet first, but she was not in on that day.  My regular vet's office called ahead to let them know I was coming, which took $40.00 off the bill because it was considered a referral.  So initial visit was $45.00.  Fairly normal.  Please keep in mind that this is an EMERGENCY clinic.  They will be more expensive than a normal vet and may not be as personable as your family vet that knows you and your pets.  You are paying for the convenience of 24/7 access and professional animal health care.  The hospital emergency room is expensive too.The vet there was very thorough and very professional.  He explained everything quite well, and gave me the wide range of the best and worse possibilities.  They did present several cost estimates to me, but that was because they were adding on as they went.  First office visit, then office visit and x-rays, then office visit, x-rays and surgery.  It wasn't confusing at all, and I thought it was great that they gave me step by step costs instead of simply presenting me a bill at the end.  Maybe I went at a good time, but they were also quick to get us in.  I may have waited 5-10 minutes and that was it.  I have had a couple of friends use the clinic and spoke very highly of it also.  Now, I have to say I haven't picked up my dog yet.  If something goes really wrong I'll update this.  But up until now I have been very impressed with the center and wouldn't hesitate a minute to go back if needed.
