I have been here several times, but WILL NOT be returning. The vet seems knowledgable, but the receptionist is downright rude. I made an appointment and when I took my dogs in the last time, they had double booked my slot with another patient and tried to blame ME for the mistake. What disappointed me so much in the service wasn't the fact that my appointment was messed up, it was how they handled it afterward. The lady was rude and condescending; she acted like it was a burden for her to deal with this even though it was CLEARLY their mistake. She asked if I could come back later or the following day, but I said I was unable to do so. She actually asked me why I could not come back saying, "What do you have to do?" I told her it was none of her business what I was doing, the point was I had an appointment, had shown up on time (5 minutes early to be exact) and that I should not be treated this way. What she should have done was simply say, "I'm sorry. Let me see what I can do to work this out." She seemed too lazy and unconcerned to put some actual thought into the situation. What surprises me the most is that this vet is about twice as expensive as a lot of other places. I paid the high prices because of the location and convenience. You would think that when a business is overpriced to start with, they would at least offer stellar service. Once again this wonderful staff has come to my 16 yr old Spikey's rescue. They have helped me provide him with the best care possible. This recent visit Dr Wasum worked an hour into his morning to care for my dog despite their booked schedule for the day. He spent an hour with my dog and husband and I. That's about 5 times longer than the average human patient's visit with their primary carw physician. He cares and so does each individual there and it shows. After calling a few vets in the Zionsville area, l reached Jody at the Zionsville Animal Clinic. She had the most welcoming and reassuring voice, and took the time to answer all of my initial questions. Dr. Carey Wasem advised that Hero needed to have several teeth extracted. He was very patient and thorough in answering my many questions. During the surgery, Dr. Wasem personally called me and kept me updated several times throughout the day. As the surgery progressed, he found more teeth that needed to be extracted. Although the extra work ran significantly over the cost estimate, he honored the price originally quoted. I am so grateful that thanks to the care of Dr. Wasem and his excellent staff I have a cat with a new lease on life!Read Less

Dr. Dan was incredibly thorough and gentle, and the tech was also very sweet and kind, helping to soothe and hold my puppy. I got lots of information and they were incredibly patient with a worried "mommy," making sure I knew everything, giving me cost estimates, and checking over my dog's health. Our recent experience at Zionsville Animal Hospital was simply outstanding. The care our very sick puppy received from Dr. Noblitt was more than I could have asked for. I felt as though he cared as much for our "Annie" as we do! I'm happy to say that she is fully recovered and back to her bouncy self! I have been taking my pets here since 2005.  We have three cats and a dog and they have all gone to see Dr. Dan over the past several years for multiple things, but mostly we just go for yearly check ups.  The staff is always so gracious, kind and polite to my animals. My dog had to go today and it reminded me that I had not reviewed this place yet.  The prices are comparable to other vets in the area.  The care is consistent, and I never have to wait.  They get us in and out for his check ups.  Rasta is usually scared and shaking when we arrive but by the end, they always manage to calm him down.Dr. Dan is honest and open with me, always tells me what to look for regarding side effects of vaccines, the animals' weight, etc.  I never feel like anything is over my head and I trust their advice explicitly.They also are the ones who recommended For the Dogs for his daycare and it has been the best partnership ever!  They are so kind to fax Rasta's updated vaccine info to FtD so that I don't have to worry about it!I would definitely recommend Zionsville Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a good caretaker for your animals :) Read Less

I have been taking my dogs to Zionsville Animal Hospital for years. Their professional expertise is exceptional but, to me what sets this practice apart, is that they epitomize the meaning of care and compassion...not only for the pet but for the owner also. I have had three papillons and all three have thrived with the care from this exception group of loving and caring individuals. Every pet owner dreads the time when it cimes to say good-bye and to let go of their most loved companion. The staff of Zionsville Animal Hospital....every single one of them....feels your pain and they do all they can to help ease the pain. You can feel their love and devotion to, not only the pet, but to the pet owner as well. I am sure there are many excellent veterinary practices in Indianapolis/Zionsville but I wouldn't go anywhere but Zionsville Animal Hospital.Barb Read Less

I would go nowhere else. My cat Tarzan is a doozy with the problems. However Dr. Wasem always pulls him back from the grave when no one else ever has known what is wrong with him. That cat would be dead without him. Everyone there treats him like their own, always keeps you posted, always answers your questions promptly and they really care about the animals. I travel a lot and Dr. Wasem always has solutions to keep Tarzan ticking while I’m away without boarding him all the time. He just had an operation and I thought the office manager was going to cry when she put him in my car, she was sad to see Tarzan go home as she liked talking to him. Read Less
