Riordan Dennis Dvm

Ankeny, Iowa
General Info
Riordan Dennis Dvm is known for the attention and care he gives to animals, and this is why many people look for his services. Riordan Dennis Dvm in Ankeny builds every vet appointment around the animal’s energy flow. The clinic goes into suspension whenever the movement slows down. The plan alters as posture changes. This care rhythm echoes across the state of Iowa. Each visit to the store begins with calibration as observers note how the pet walked into Petco, its orientation speed, and if its eyes were steady or flickering. Care likewise begins to manifest itself through the same mechanisms, and so on. Whenever a cat curls, the staff takes a step back. A dog as it starts to lean forward gently. Touch waits patiently for the signs confirming that everything is ready. Silence as the sound stops, distance after closeness, and light after darkness are applied frequently and use interaction contrast. Riordan Dennis Dvm, together with disease detection and pain management. The company also focuses on nutritional optimization as well as joint health. They use decision trees instead of forced sequences so that when alertness increases diagnostics stop. The serenity intensifies, and their conduct continues. Through this logic historically anxious animals manage to complete exams without entering a downward spiral. Discharge protocols are the signals an animal’s body needs to pay attention to in order to function properly and tell it when interaction should stop or restart and how to use rhythmic activities such as meals or walks for balancing. Families receive guidance on broad aspects of home care and the emotional cadence the child will follow. The subtle tweaks convert a “coming home” experience into an authentic one rather than a clinical echo. Dr. Riordan Dennis Dvm through Ankeny realizes a veterinary method in Iowa which states that one should listen before talking, think before acting and react before prescribing. The practice offers a wide range of services including Microchipping, Oncology, Livestock/Farm Animal Care, Cardiology and Internal Medicine among others. They enable pets to live happy, healthy lives through all stages—from routine wellness visits to advanced medical care. Pet owners applaud the team’s expertise and communication style because the clinic takes the time to explain medical decisions clearly and compassionately. The staff strives to establish consistent, long-term connections by providing compassionate support during senior pet care or urgent health situations. The clinic plays a significant role in educating pet owners on preventive health measures. Riordan Dennis Dvm’s community engagement fosters a solid foundation for responsible pet ownership. New and returning customers note that the practice is always evolving with modern trends in veterinary medicine.

I've taken my cat to multiple veterinarians over the years and while they've all been acceptable, the Ankeny Vet Clinic is second to none and truly makes you feel like family. Before I found them, I had just taken my cat to his usual vet for a regular checkup and was told that he had gingivitis, would need to have two of his teeth removed, and then was promptly given a cost estimate for surgery. With nothing but perfect checkups in the past, I was skeptical and ended up going to the Ankeny Vet Clinic to get a second opinion. We met with Dr. Dennis Riordan who explained that with my cat's breed it's not unusual for them to have a genetic predisposition toward developing gingivitis at a young age (6) and that my cat's teeth weren't bad yet. He told me that while extraction was an option and probably a necessity in the future, another option was a weekly oral rinse to reduce the infection and slow the progression of gingivitis so my cat could keep his teeth for a few more years. And here we are now, my cat's teeth are 100% intact, his gums look much better, and I didn't have to pay someone to remove two perfectly healthy teeth. Dr. Riordan was awesome and it really seems like he cares and wants the best for every animal that comes through his office. That level of personal attention isn't something you can find just anywhere! Read Less

I went in there because my new puppy had badly injured her leg and I just knew it was broken. So I asked them if they could just take a look. They told me they don't take walk-ins and wernt even going to help me. But they said that they had some time (there was no other person in there but me. I heard one other dog). The vet herself was nice though I didn't catch her name. They took xrays without pain meds and were moving her leg and fighting her as she wailed in pain for over 5 min. I felt so bad for my tiny puppy ( 5 lbs). Then the xrays were soo dark that I couldn't even see my dogs bones. But I thanked them and paid the 100 dollars for the xrays. They didn't do anything to help her leg. And I had to pay 175 dollars at a different vet because the xrays they gave me were so bad. And the other place gave her pain meds before doing xrays and fixed her leg for me. And the staff was super nice there. Will not be returning to ankeny vet Read Less
