I HIGHLY recommend Abbie's Animal Clinic. Dr Clark is a highly skilled and excellent vet. She helped us with our lab when he ate a bunch of Hershey Kisses wrapped in foil. She was very thorough explaining how it could affect Shadow. Also when Shadow broke his leg she put a metal plate in it and it is better than before. Not at all pushy and very good prices. Dr. Abbie was our vet from 1999-2015. We took our dog and our cat to her for their entire lives. She will always give you a direct, honest answer about the needs of your pet. When it came time to put down our dog and then later our cat, she was professional and straight forward with us. I appreciated her honesty and that she was looking out for the best interests of our pets. She runs her office by herself and is very organized. When I would call her office, she always remembered our animal's names and their specific conditions. She was prompt with following up on any tests and informing us right away - good communication. I don't think I can say enough positive things about Dr. Abbie. I have 5 amazing dogs and they all love Dr. Abbie. We've been going to her since 2012 and I can honestly say that I've never had a vet that not only cares deeply for your animal but she's very informative and always available to answer any and all questions I have( I'm a crazy dog mom so there are usually several.) I have full confidence in leaving my fur babies with her all day and even over night when it's needed. Back in 03/2012 one of my dogs and I were involved in a bad accident a few blocks from Abbie's Animal Clinic and she took amazing care of my sweet dog Sophie who is an old girl and needed not only physical care but extra love after a traumatic experience. Abbie's heart beats for our animals and that to me is invaluable. We now live 45 mins away from Cedar Rapids but we WILL always go to Dr. Abbie. Her prices are very fair when compared to other vets we've worked with, and we can always get an appointment within a few days of when we call. Dr. Abbie Clark, has a huge heart for all animals, she is very thoughtful and kind. I called Dr. Abbie this morning about Buddy our spaniel. His right eye was closed shut with a yellowish matter. When I finally got the gook out of his eye I noticed it was very red. Dr. Abbie, told me to bring him in so I did. I am extremely excited to have her as our vet. Dr. Abbie loves taking care of all of our animal family members. She takes time to explain every aspect of our visit so I can better understand the proper care each animal family member needs.
