The Vets are outstanding pet care. A few years ago we had to put our beloved dog down. They are so compassionate. Dr. Lee did every thing to make sure the transition to pet heaven was peaceful. Valley View Vet Clinic is wonderful! I have trusted my 3 cats to their care for more than 6 years. The entire staff is so compassionate and helpful. Dr. Lee has been our vet for our dogs since she opened the clinic. She is very caring and is knowledgeable of resources and treatments. Recently our Golden dropped weight and blood tests determined leukemia or lymphoma. Dr Lee arranged for us to visit a cancer specialist in Des Moines, called us in the evening when she received the results and she is following the prescribed protocol for treatments. I have left a review once before, everyone at the clinic are great caring people. I rescued a pregnant stray and they did her exam very thoroughly to make sure she was in tip top shape. They always answer my questions and never leave me wondering about something I had concerns with. All 3 of my children are healthy and well taken care of! In response to an earlier Post by "M" in reference to not receiving return phone calls from Staff and/or Dr. Lee. I don't know M's situation but my wife and I have had 5 dogs within several years Dr. Lee and her Staff has treated. Over the years, Dr. Lee and her Staff have ALWAYS returned our calls concerning our pets. Dr. Lee has called our home after hours and as late as 9:30 PM to give us updates and info she received from searching for answers concerning our Pet's medical issues even when we were NOT expecting a phone call. Dr. Lee and her Staff have given my wife, myself and our pets the best care available and have NEVER failed to return calls, no matter the time of day. I have been taking my four-legged kids to Dr. Lee for 16 years. She is always very thorough and has gotten me in on the spot for a few unfortunate emergencies. She and her crew have been with me through some rough times with pets and I cannot imagine taking my pets anywhere else! Any time we have had to have tests, either she or someone from her office calls with the results as soon as possible. Dr. Lee and all of the Valley View staff are the very best. Exemplary care is given to both pets and pet parents. We are a multi-pet home and I trust Dr. Lee completely with their care. She emails test results and always follows up with a call to review them - sometimes as late as 10 pm. She doesn't rest until all calls have been returned. She is a true vet that observes the pet closely and listens. The tests recommended are as required and not just to run up a big bill. She works closely with shelters and rescues to help all animals. I have had all of my cherished pets seen by Dr. Lee for over 30 years. No one will give you more of best practice medicine and her time and her heart. She loves every animal she sees. We are also personal friends and I see her leave many, many personal events to care for so many of these animals. She also cares for other less fortunate animals in the community who have no home and nurtures students who want to learn in her field. She is not afraid to tell you what she doesn't know and make a referral and to learn herself. She also works to keep her costs reasonable (check around - it's true!) It's not surprising it takes time. Everyone wants to see her. No one wants to wait! She tries hard not to turn people away and has been known to make house calls! So. When we first got our dog almost 5 years ago, I really liked the place or so I thought. Dr. Lee is great and shes the only one I feel that listens to you. The front desk staff are very rude, they rush you on the phone, not letting you explain the reasoning for your call. Its always just bring them in, they don't want to hear anything you have to say. I don't always have the money to just bring my dog in. I call for advice or ideas with any help I need and they dont offer it. They have attitudes like they are above you. This is suppose to be a friendly place and it is not. I dont like going to a place and feel like Im being looked down at or down talked to. Read Less

There are very few people that I would trust with our numerous pets, and Dr. Lee and her staff are in that group. They've been with us through thick and thin - from cancer treatment to puppy delivery via C-section to routine checkups, and through it all have been caring and responsive. I have English and French bulldogs. Dr. Lee and Dr. Strohbehn are Bulldog experts. I almost lost a puppy to kennel cough and this clinic and Dr. Lee saved him! I will not take my bulldogs anywhere else! After just a couple visits, they know me and my dogs by name. Everyone is friendly, kind and caring. It's a wonderful place to bring your pets! My Zeus was there for an undecended testicle. We were there as a referral from our hometown vet, so we were all nervous. I was very pleased with the intake process, as the staff took the time to get to know us and Zeus. It was obvious they knew how to handle big dogs ( he's a baby at 107.) The doctors have always been good. But the one Older receptionist is always a huge bitch. On the phone and in the office. She needs to go. She makes me not want to leave my dying dog there. Edit: Other than that they were absolutely amazing to my dog the 2 days he stayed there. The nurse lady, Aleah, that took care of my Miloh while he was in isolation went above and beyond. And I can't thank her, Dr. Humphrey enough for taking such great care of him, continuing to check up on him at home, and helping us make him feel better, and helping us kick Parvo's butt! Read Less

Dr Lee is one of the best, most experienced Veterinarians in Iowa, also in Nebraska. Would not trust any other Veterinarian with the care of my kitty. Dr Lee has taken care of our animals for about 40 years. My husband has never used another Veterinarian in all this time. Before we remarried I used a few different Veterinarians. But we know when our animals get older and need excellent care, Dr Lee is who we trust 110% She is a very caring person. She used to be off Center and 60th in Omaha long ago. She has been in Iowa for around twenty years. We drive around 15 miles to see her, instead of going for nearby help. Originally I had chosen another vet which showed as closer, but after not getting a response to my contact and having an increasing need of veterinary services, I ended up at Valley View. It was serendipity!The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I love Valley View! I've been taking both of my babies since they were tiny pups. My only big complaint isn't even to bad. The wait time can get a little long. I will usually be scheduled for a 10:00am appointment and not get seen until 10:30am-10:45am. They have a tendency to double and triple book for the same appointment time. Other than that everything there is just amazing! The vet techs and the Dr. Lee are all amazing. They are so nice and gentle with my dogs, and always answer all of my questions. I have been going to Dr. Lee for over 17 years now.  Her compassion, dedication and love for not only her customers but  for our pets as well is one in a million.  I remember back when she started up her new clinic, how she would make house calls for my golden's.  Today is a difficult day as I put my 17 year old calico to rest.  Dr. Lee never waivered, she just showed her compassion for both myself and my pet.They don't come any better then this clinic and someday I look forward to being back in her office with a new pet.  But, until then I strongly recommend Valley View Vet Clinic to everyone.  They really are the best around. Dr Lee and her staff have one of the most caring and technologically up to date clinics in the area.  I've been going to Dr Lee for over 20 yrs. I've had to go to other vets due to moving etc but I always end up back at Dr Lee's doorstep. It's well worth my drive. Her knowledge and caring attitude is impeccable! She always makes me feel like my pet is the only one in the clinic.
