I got my first pup for my birthday in May of 2018. I took him here because the people I got him from took him there for his first puppy shots for me, so I figured I would continue taking him there moving forward. Well after getting my pups last puppy shot, I was not impressed AT ALL. First off, when I took him in the employee came out INTO THE LOBBY and gave my pup his last shot in front of everyone. I thought that was absolutely rude and NOT professional what-so-ever! THEN when I took him in due to 2 eye infections, the vet who came in did NOT show any kind of love and carness for my pup. She just wanted to get her job done and move on to the next, and not to mention I could barely understand a word she was saying to me because she was talking so fast.... A year later here we are getting my pup fixed, we decided to take him to a new vet, one that our families have been going to for quite some time, also because I was not happy with affordacare.. We take him in and this new vet tells me that 1. My pups shots were NEVER completed, and 2. He was never checked for heart worm.... My stomach dropped and it felt like I was going to vomit I was so upset and mad. So I told this new vet to get him up-to-date on everything, and that we were coming to this new place rather than anywhere else ESPECIALLY Affordacare. You all told me specifically that Rocket was up-to-date with everything and that he didn’t need anything until a year later to follow up with. I am absolutely disgusted with this place and I do not reccomend coming here. I do not trust them with my pup or any other animal I will ever own. I understand they are affordable for many people, but please take your babies somewhere where you can trust them to know what they’re actually doing, spend a little more for your pets to make sure they’re happy and healthy, please. & just to end this on a positive note, my pup is very happy and healthy thanks to our new vet. 😊

They have taken care of my 2 doxies since we got them at 6wks. And ever since then when we walk in they are known as the boys.. they are so good with our babies.. I always recommend them to everyone.

Fast efficient and affordable. Had a friend recommend the place. So far I have taken 2 dogs and 2 cats there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside is that it is usually crowd...

I'm not thrilled with their services. The name of the game is cost. We had our cat examined there, and the vet said to watch him closely and he probably needed blood work. That was an understatement because I had to run him to the Animal Hospital within 24 hours of that appt. He was VERY SICK, but I wasn't ready to let him go. Afford a Care is cheap, but quality is seriously compromised. It would have been better to know how sick he really was because our cat's care at the emergency hospital cost a fortune. We did have our female cat spayed there for exactly $100, and they did an excellent job.

If I could give no stars I would, I am extremely unhappy with Afford-A-Care. In the past I took my dog to Afford-A-Care regularly and spent large sums of money due to my dog had lots of medical issue...
If I could give no stars I would, I am extremely unhappy with Afford-A-Care. In the past I took my dog to Afford-A-Care regularly and spent large sums of money due to my dog had lots of medical issues; my furbaby is no longer with me he passed over the Rainbow bridge about 2 years ago.
Recently I adopted a cat who I wanted to have checked I was worried he may not be well and I has told I wouldn't be seen because I hadn't been there in the past year. Serious? What was I suppose to do, stop by for coffee so I could come back at a later date when I adopted another furbaby?
Not cool Afford-A-Care.......if I'd known this is the treatment I would recieve in the future I would have never made your place my vet years ago. Very bad PR!

Took my wonderful 22 year companion here to have him put to sleep, which was so difficult for me as I did not want to let him go. They were so friendly and understanding! IF I ever decide to get another animal, this is where I would take them! They put us in a room by ourselves so we could say our goodbyes. I had called the day before and was so distraught and thought they said to have my baby there before 5pm but when we had gotten there they told me they couldn't do it that day and began to give me the name of a different place as I was crying the nurse ran in the back to see if the doctor was still there which she came back out and said they would help. Would recommend this place to anyone! And they are very affordable! !!!

This place is the worst!!!
I have to say that I'm so disappointed in my dog's care today. I brought her in today to get her nails clipped, have them look at one of her nails that were broken, and get a combination of shots.
The nurse comes in to cut her nails and check out the broken one and says, "ok, I'm gonna take her back to the doctor so he can check it out." Goes over exam pricing and took my dog.
While I'm waiting in the exam room, I could hear my dog whimpering and yelping, I go out to the lobby, wait a couple minutes, she comes back w/my dog (ushers me back into the exam room) tells me they pulled her nail pulled off (NEVER CONSULTED ME) and sends me home w/antibiotics.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and just because they're cheap, you have no idea what they're doing to your pets in the back.
I had to question everything they did! Why didn't they ask me if it were okay to pull my dog's nail off? Why didn't they tell me how much of the antibiotic my dog needed? They're just very unprofessional and not friendly at all.
I don't mind them pulling the nail, but it was the courtesy of asking and telling me before they went about the procedure. I went in there for one thing and came out w/something else.

I took my dog there today with a dislocated hip to get a follow up xray and the vet i seen was unfriendly and didn't want to give us one, then proceeded to examine her sore leg without muzzling her so...
I took my dog there today with a dislocated hip to get a follow up xray and the vet i seen was unfriendly and didn't want to give us one, then proceeded to examine her sore leg without muzzling her so my dog did what any dog would do and nipped at her. This vet was so unprofessional she yelled at me and walked out of the office slamming the door in my face! Worst experience ever for me and my dog!

Took my 3 large dogs to them for the first time. We choose a non busy time as it was a new place for them. There was another large muzzled dog w/non friendly body language in the doorway to one of their rooms. His door should of been shut. My dogs became nervous & went from wagging tails to barking & whining. They put us in our own room & I asked to have the door shut so I could try to calm them down. The vet giving them their shots came in from behind my one dog & it made her start barking again. The vet stood over her & yelled "no!". Not only did this scare my dogs but my husband & I. You could see the whites of my dogs eyes & the fear on her face. Anyone who knows anything about dogs knows when you yell @ them it's like barking @ them. Loud deep firm voices are threating to dogs. You should use a high pitch level but firm voice when you deal w/a dog that doesn't know you & always let a scared dog calm down & get used to you first. By talking to it's people & looking @ one of the other dogs first. Acting like this vet did can get you bit when dealing w/a scared dog. I'll make the drive to see my old vet from now on.

The Doctors and all of the staff are exceptional! I've used their services for years and I wouldn't consider entrusting my Fur-children to anywhere else! Thank you very much Afford a Care!

If I could give ZERO STARS I would!I have never been more disgusted with any business I have ever gone to than I am with this place. I took my small dog in there a few weeks ago and they told me he has an Upper Respiratory Infection. They gave him a two week antibiotic and sent me home. The past two days his symptoms have gotten worse and worse to where he is almost completely motionless, wont stand up or walk, and has stopped even going to the bathroom. I get home from work and see what bad shape he is in and pull up their website. Their website states on Tuesdays the office is open from 7-9AM and that the doctors hours are 7:30PM-8:30PM. I took this to mean that the doctor is WORKING up until 8:30PM. WRONG!! I got there as quickly as I could coming from WDM since I work days and Tuesday is their only late night. I walk in and am standing at their counter at 8:20PM. Not a single other customer was in there and the parking lot was empty. I thought, perfect, they can get him in quick since its the same problems as before and we can get home. WRONG AGAIN! I was told at 8:20PM that they couldn't help me because the doctor was almost ready to go home. I asked what else I could do for my sick dog and their office girl told me nothing. And then on top of that told me not to bother coming in tomorrow or Thursday because they are full. How a vet that is still open and claims to be "working" could turn away a sick animal blows my mind. The shot took a whole 15 seconds the time before. These people are heartless and lazy and I will spend the rest of time telling everyone I know what a TERRIBLE establishment this is! It's very sad considering I have been taking my dog there since he was a puppy and that I got my bf, parents and a coworker to take their dogs here too. I will be telling them all immediately to stop and everyone else from here on out. STAY AWAY!

I get home from work and see what bad shape he is in and pull up their website. Their website states on Tuesdays the office is open from 7-9AM and that the doctors hours are 7:30PM-8:30PM. I took this to mean that the doctor is WORKING up until 8:30PM. WRONG!! I got there as quickly as I could coming from WDM since I work days and Tuesday is their only late night. I walk in and am standing at their counter at 8:20PM. Not a single other customer was in there and the parking lot was empty. I thought, perfect, they can get him in quick since its the same problems as before and we can get home. WRONG AGAIN! I was told at 8:20PM that they couldn't help me because the doctor was almost ready to go home. I asked what else I could do for my sick dog and their office girl told me nothing. And then on top of that told me not to bother coming in tomorrow or Thursday because they are full. How a vet that is still open and claims to be "working" could turn away a sick animal blows my mind. The shot took a whole 15 seconds the time before. These people are heartless and lazy and I will spend the rest of time telling everyone I know what a TERRIBLE establishment this is! It's very sad considering I have been taking my dog there since he was a puppy and that I got my bf, parents and a coworker to take their dogs here too. I will be telling them all immediately to stop and everyone else from here on out. STAY AWAY!
