Eastown has cared for my animals, all six of them, since I was 12 years old; I am now 40 years old. Yes, the math equates to 1984. It all began with Duster Sazarack McTeague, then Dandelion who were both outdoor kitties and succumbed in that life. After those significant losses, I decided that any future cat would be indoors only, and that is when Bunny the cat came into my life from the ARL. Although we kept her indoors, she almost died at 6 months of age due to ingesting a small bell from a cat toy that had corroded in her stomach. Thank goodness for the staff at Eastown that discovered the bell and performed the surgery to remove it; which saved her life. I was blessed to have my beloved companion, Bunny for 19 years until her passing in 2009 with Dr. Denhart at her side on the day of his retirement. She came in with him, she went out with him which was only fitting. Growing up in Pleasant Hill, this was the logical place to go, however, even though I moved to the other side of town years ago, I can't imagine going elsewhere. From Bubs to greet you, to the Technicians; Scott, Michael, Ashley, and Jen and certainly can't forget Dr. Seavers who took over after Dr. Denhart, they take the time to get to know you as well as your pet(s). After Bunny passed, it took some time, however we, (ok really me) brought a stray kitty, "Boo", into our home. Once again, Eastown saved his life as he was riddled with worms. We are also blessed with our 12 yr old lioness "Pumpkin" and our rambunctious 5 yr old pooch, "Artemis" that we found at the ARL as well which both, thankfully, have not given us much to worry so far. My only complaint about Eastown is that I wish they offered a multi-pet discount. :)Read Less
