They have always been great with us and our kitties The only thing I have ever been bothered by was our 2 cats both got the same shots and both got really sick one needing the emergency vet costing around 600 dollars and the other still needing extra vet visits and iv and so on I would of liked to have seen more looking into it as to how 2 unrelated cats both got sick from the shots that really whipped us out financially with no explanacians or even as to trying to get compensated from the vaccine maker. The worst part is we almost lost them both so I just don't understand how or what or why. And if it was the vaccine maker then they should be making them pay damages. But besides that they have always been nice and great with our cats. The office is always clean and could not ask for nicer people.

Love the drs here but not the customer service. We’ve been bringing our dog for almost 7 years. First they sent a VERY unprofessional letter in the mail after telling me I could write a check because they didn’t want me to leave to run to the cash machine. I knew they didn’t take checks, I had a bunch of cash because I was waiting on a new debit card and I wasn’t going to use my business cc. It was a much bigger bill then I expected so was short but they didn’t want me to go get cash. They excepted the check. So the reprimand letter in the mail days later was quite a slap on the face.
Then the last appointment I thought was at 11:00. We were the only ones in there. The assistants cane up to get our dog, but then a girl behind the desk (Not one I’m familiar with) abruptly said “we are going to have to reschedule”. She said appointment was actually 10:50 and they have a 10 min late policy where you have to reschedule. We were the ONLY ones in there. The assist left awkwardly. I explained that I had the whole day planned around this appt with a grooming visit scheduled right after. She again said it’s our policy. So we left and will not return.

I just had my healthy, 12 year old cat Reagan, in to visit with Dr Saunders. Dr Saunders gave him usual thorough exam. However, it was Sarah H's comments and reassurance that left the big impression. I have been through senior care before and no matter how hard you prepare yourself, it is never enough. Knowing that Sarah and the staff will be there through the years is comforting. This is only one example of why I have been going to Petersen Pet Hospital since 2003. I would give you more examples, but I will run out of room.

I'm actually more grateful for Dr. McGinty and his colleagues at Petersen Pet Hospital than I am for my own people doctor. They never rush my appointments, they're always gentle and loving with my beasts, and they consistently check on my dogs' progress when I've taken them in for some illness. On top of all that, they always think my fur kids are terrific, even when when they have to get on the floor for exams because my dogs are so freaked by the exam tables. I'm so grateful I found them when I moved to Cedar Rapids five years ago!

We have been using Petersen Pet Hospital for about six years now and the experience has always been excellent. All of the doctors are great, especially Dr. Saunders who cares for our two dogs as well as the pediatrician cares for our children. The dogs love coming to the clinic where Sarah and all of the techs./staff spoil them. It's a first-rate operation.

The best decision we ever made for our pets was bringing them to Petersen Pet Hospital. They saved the life of our dog and we will forever be grateful. The staff are compassionate and go above and beyond to ensure that all concerns are met. We have lived in a fair number of places throughout the years and this practice is the first that I've gone to that seemed to actually care about the animal and not try to nickel and dime you. Excellent vet office! I am extremely picky about vets for my kitties, and have always wanted the best. Petersen Pet Hospital and Dr. Saunders are fantastic. They were great in giving a diagnosis and final care to my beloved cat. Dr. Saunders was fantastic in the treatment of our 2 new kittens who had ringworm, and she has always made us feel very comfortable with our kitties care. Dr. Saunders and been fantastic at managing the kidney disease in our oldest cat. The care we receive means very much to us! Thank you so much!

I took my cat here for the first time since moving to CR in August. My family has had a vet that they went to for years in Manchester where they lived so when I adopted my fur baby two years ago I took him there. When I moved to CR I knew I had to find a new place. After being recommended by a friend, I can now confidently say it was the best decision I've ever made. The staff is AMAZING and they were all so excited to meet Ru Paul, the cat named after a drag queen. We will definitely be back and I'm so grateful to them for helping me out being new in town, with a cat I love more than my own life!

I just can't say enough positives about Dr. Petersen and Petersen Pet Hospital.. Dr. Petersen has been the vet for our 9 month mini-schnauzer since we got her. While she can be a handful at times Dr. Petersen and his staff do a great job in handling her. We are moving out of state and the office sent me links for long distance driving with my dogs and a referral to a vet in our new state. This was all done after a casual conversation. The website has a wealth of information as well. High recommend Petersen Pet Hospital!

When we adopted our first dog, Toby, 12 years ago, we took him to Dr. Petersen and have taken him there ever since. Over the years, Dr. Petersen has performed several surgeries on him all with outstanding results. And when we adopted our second dog, Dylan, 7 years ago, Dr. Saunders saw him and has cared for him ever since. We are very pleased with each doctor's compassion and knowledge in each instance they have seen our dogs. Our dogs mean the world to us and we truly appreciate the quality of care they receive at Petersen Pet Hospital.

I have been through senior care before and no matter how hard you prepare yourself, it is never enough. Knowing that Sarah and the staff will be there through the years is comforting. I'm actually more grateful for Dr. McGinty and his colleagues at Petersen Pet Hospital than I am for my own people doctor. They never rush my appointments, they're always gentle and loving with my beasts, and they consistently check on my dogs' progress when I've taken them in for some illness. On top of all that, they always think my fur kids are terrific, even when when they have to get on the floor for exams because my dogs are so freaked by the exam tables. I'm so grateful I found them when I moved to Cedar Rapids five years ago!

We have been using Petersen Pet Hospital for about six years now and the experience has always been excellent. All of the doctors are great, especially Dr. Saunders who cares for our two dogs as well as the pediatrician cares for our children. The dogs love coming to the clinic where Sarah and all of the techs./staff spoil them. It's a first-rate operation.

The best decision we ever made for our pets was bringing them to Petersen Pet Hospital. They saved the life of our dog and we will forever be grateful. The staff are compassionate and go above and beyond to ensure that all concerns are met. We have lived in a fair number of places throughout the years and this practice is the first that I've gone to that seemed to actually care about the animal and not try to nickel and dime you. Excellent vet office! I am extremely picky about vets for my kitties, and have always wanted the best. Petersen Pet Hospital and Dr. Saunders are fantastic. They were great in giving a diagnosis and final care to my beloved cat. Dr. Saunders was fantastic in the treatment of our 2 new kittens who had ringworm, and she has always made us feel very comfortable with our kitties care. Dr. Saunders and been fantastic at managing the kidney disease in our oldest cat. The care we receive means very much to us! Thank you so much!

The front desk staff greeted me and Salem right away, and instantly took an interest in her. The vet techs (I forgot their names) were both great, and Dr.McGinty seems extremely knowledgeable. They all are very compassionate towards animals, and I fully trust that they have Salem's best interest in mind. The facilities are also very clean and comfortable. Thank you

I took my cat here for the first time since moving to CR in August. My family has had a vet that they went to for years in Manchester where they lived so when I adopted my fur baby two years ago I took him there. When I moved to CR I knew I had to find a new place. After being recommended by a friend, I can now confidently say it was the best decision I've ever made. The staff is AMAZING and they were all so excited to meet Ru Paul, the cat named after a drag queen. We will definitely be back and I'm so grateful to them for helping me out being new in town, with a cat I love more than my own life!

I just can't say enough positives about Dr. Petersen and Petersen Pet Hospital.. Dr. Petersen has been the vet for our 9 month mini-schnauzer since we got her. While she can be a handful at times Dr. Petersen and his staff do a great job in handling her. We are moving out of state and the office sent me links for long distance driving with my dogs and a referral to a vet in our new state. This was all done after a casual conversation. The website has a wealth of information as well. High recommend Petersen Pet Hospital!

When we adopted our first dog, Toby, 12 years ago, we took him to Dr. Petersen and have taken him there ever since. Over the years, Dr. Petersen has performed several surgeries on him all with outstanding results. And when we adopted our second dog, Dylan, 7 years ago, Dr. Saunders saw him and has cared for him ever since. We are very pleased with each doctor's compassion and knowledge in each instance they have seen our dogs. Our dogs mean the world to us and we truly appreciate the quality of care they receive at Petersen Pet Hospital.
