She provided us with proactive updates during their stay and she charges fair rates that are explained and not just added on to bill you for what seems like no reason.

Dr. Ebert has been my dog's vet ever since I brought her home six years ago and she's just wonderful. She has great interaction with my dog whether she's sick or healthy and does a great job at reminding me to keep up with my regular vaccinations. She never overcharges or pushes for pricier treatments. Great vet!

My pup Shevek misbehaves badly at the vets. Dr. Ebert is so kind and gentle with him, even when he is being naughty. She's very, very understanding and careful with my pup. Also, she has diagnosed issues correctly every time -- my pup comes away healthier and happier every time. He was neutered at the Gentle Heart Pet Clinic, and treated very well for a reasonable price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. EBERT AND HER WONDERFUL STAFF!

I am a student here in IC, and my cat needs special food for his bladder. I come from a small town in eastern Iowa and that is where my vet is, and don't always have time to make it back home to get his food. I called this vet and they said I could purchase his there. The second time I went back, the receptionist treated me horribly. Acted as if I didn't exists, then finally told me she couldn't sell me his food. Gave me a guilt trip about how she could lose her job (for apparently making her vet $50 on food?), that it's cruel of me to not give my cat his food (he ran out last night, and with work and school I just now had time to get there), and saying to never come back because they can't sell me food ever again. Even though I could go to any other vet in IC to get food, that is just the one closest to my place. I have never written a review before but felt very strongly I should. I have never been treated so poorly at a vet.

Wonderful staff who genuinely care about animals. Dr. Mary is fantastic and is always willing to answer questions and you don't feel rushed whatsoever during your visit. She has a way with pets that make them feel calm and supported during their visit- our puppy didn't even flinch during his shots! I'm surprised to hear others say the facility is dirty as it has always been clean and sanitary during our visits. I would highly recommend this place.

I come from a small town in eastern Iowa and that is where my vet is, and don't always have time to make it back home to get his food. I called this vet and they said I could purchase his there. The second time I went back, the receptionist treated me horribly. Acted as if I didn't exists, then finally told me she couldn't sell me his food.
