I’m sure this vet is great for very wealthy people of Johnston but definitely won’t be back. I brought my dog in the morning they said “sign this form it’s in case we have to do an X-ray or bloodwork”...
I’m sure this vet is great for very wealthy people of Johnston but definitely won’t be back. I brought my dog in the morning they said “sign this form it’s in case we have to do an X-ray or bloodwork” they didn’t call me to ask if anything was ok or tell me my options or pricing. They have hun an X-ray blood work multiple lab testing shots medicine food and anything else they could tack on they’re really just trying to get as much money out of you as possible. I’ve gone to probabaly 10 different vets and they have always called and explained the options and how much it was going to be. It was $500 if you were curious which we could not afford. Then they made excuses and said that they didn’t do anything wrong since I signed the form lol ya I signed it you said it was for X-rays not these 39 things I would have never done all this and that makes them shady and dishonest.

I can't say enough on how great they made me feel when they accommodate you as a pet owner with pet pickups. pet drop offs. when you work in a field that you just can't take time off for an appointment at a moments notice. they work with you and try to make accomadations for you and the pet. on top of that. they had the dog in and out and taken care of quicker than I thought. and when paying for it. I was shocked that I was just paying for services that were performed (nail clipping) and nothing else. screw the old vet. I will continue to take our dog there when the need arises and for shots... thank you Steve Safris.

I boarded a young lab pup for a 10 day period while i took my first cruise. Somehow the boarding facility did not use my vet but rather this establishment. I had a $350 vet bill with blood work, imaging (x-rays), and fluid administration. No diagnosis. The same day I returned home and picked up my puppy I took him to my vet, who soon showed me how he had lost a molar. I did not appreciate the unneeded $350 expense. (They called the boarding facility and said the dog was experiencing abdominal pain to justify the diagnostic imaging done).

We started taking our two golden retrievers here and have loved their staff. The clinic is clean and the people are friendly. The dignity that they gave our golden retriever when she had to be put down was wonderful. Love it at Westfield! 11/28/17 update - We still love Westfield! Our golden retriever broke a nail and was in terrible pain (exposed nerves), and the staff fit her in as soon as I called. Got her fixed up and comfortable, and even trimmed the rest of her nails. Love their clean office, helpful staff and technology.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Safris and Westfield. Our vet recently retired and we were left with two geriatric pets, nearing end of life and no vet. I'm so glad that we found Westfield. They worked to source the meds my cat had been on even though it wasn't something they typically carried--just so that he didn't have to adjust to a switch. Yesterday when it was obvious that the time had come they took such good care of us. My husband and I couldn't get over... how kind and respectful the entire process was from the moment I called, to when we walked in the door, through the vet tech (who maybe almost cried with us) getting us situated and through the procedure with Dr. Safris. Like many cranky old cats, he hated being at the vet and I was worried that his last moments would be scared and screaming, but the way they handled it with an IV catheter made it so that he was calm and peaceful through the end. It was such a relief and I can't say enough how much their care and concern helped make a lousy day just a bit easier. Though I fear we'll be going back with our dog in the not distant enough future, I feel so relieved knowing we have a wonderful place to go when the time comes and I look forward to continuing the relationship under better circumstances if/when we bring new fur-babies home. Dr Safris is an amazing vet who has compassion, provides amazing medical care, & has a very kind & heartfelt bedside manner for all of his animal patients as well as their human companions. He is one of a kind and goes above and beyond to care for all animals and has done so many things for our dog that we will never be able to thank him enough. Absolutely love this clinic! Techs super friendly and vet super thorough and front desk so helpful and patient ! I always call about my two cats and they are so helpful with advise through the phone and scheduling appointments. Also for declawing cats they use a lazor technique that is above and beyond the cats heal fast and no painful effects later on. We've always loved Westfield and every one who there was cares for our dogs. We drive from Norwalk to bring dogs here for care because we like them that much. This morning was terrible for me when I woke up and our pits toe nail had fallen off exposing the nerve portion and his toe was huge and swollen, bleeding everywhere. Dr Safris got him in quick, explained the plan of care, calmed my fears, and took amazing care of our pup. I couldn't be more thankful for Westfield and everything they do for our pups!!! Truly amazing and caring individuals!

I have taken my dog to other vets in the past, but I was delightfully surprised when we began taking him to Westfield. We have been seen by all of the veterinarians at Westfield over the span of five years, and they are all helpful and knowledgeable. The staff is so helpful, so nice, and really a pleasure to work with. They are always wearing smiles, and genuinely seem happy to work there. They always recognize us, even if we only see them a few times a year. I would recommend their services to anyone who wants great service and expertise in their vet.

I don't think we've ever had a better vet office experience. From the highly-attentive and caring staff to the doctors who will actually sit on the floor with your pup to take vitals in a more natural and comfortable setting, this team really has their craft down. Wait time has always been very minimal and appointment scheduling pretty easy and quick. They don't up-sell medicines or products and really focus on your individual pet's needs. What really sealed this place for us (and we were initially guided there by a soaring recommendation from another client) was that they saw we had been getting excessively charged from another place - in another state - for something we didn't really need for our pups. Huge savings and one less thing for our pups to endure. Kudos to this staff for their remarkable work. It's changed my mind on how a vet experience should look and feel.

Love them so much!! I've been taking my, not so friendly, cat there for 5 years and they are so good to her. We just rescued a cat and part of the contract was to see a vet for a free checkup but Westfield wasn't on the list. I called and asked if they would still do the visit for free because we love them and just pay for whatever shots she needs just like the other vets would and they said yes! They go above and beyond and never try to sell us things we don't need done.

I have had many great experiences at Westfield Vet Hospital. I have referred all my friends and family there. They also love it. I wouldn't let one person's bad experience influence the health care of my pets. Persia (the cat that lives there) seems very healthy and happy during each visit of mine. The staff is very helpful, trustworthy, and reliable! Dr. Safris and the staff have always been available to help me after hours anytime my pets have needed them.

I can't say enough on how great they made me feel when they accommodate you as a pet owner with pet pickups. pet drop offs. when you work in a field that you just can't take time off for an appointment at a moments notice. they work with you and try to make accomadations for you and the pet. on top of that. they had the dog in and out and taken care of quicker than I thought. and when paying for it. I was shocked that I was just paying for services that were performed (nail clipping) and nothing else. screw the old vet. I will continue to take our dog there when the need arises and for shots... thank you Steve Safris.

I boarded a young lab pup for a 10 day period while i took my first cruise. Somehow the boarding facility did not use my vet but rather this establishment. I had a $350 vet bill with blood work, imaging (x-rays), and fluid administration. No diagnosis. The same day I returned home and picked up my puppy I took him to my vet, who soon showed me how he had lost a molar. I did not appreciate the unneeded $350 expense. (They called the boarding facility and said the dog was experiencing abdominal pain to justify the diagnostic imaging done).

We started taking our two golden retrievers here and have loved their staff. The clinic is clean and the people are friendly. The dignity that they gave our golden retriever when she had to be put down was wonderful. Love it at Westfield! 11/28/17 update - We still love Westfield! Our golden retriever broke a nail and was in terrible pain (exposed nerves), and the staff fit her in as soon as I called. Got her fixed up and comfortable, and even trimmed the rest of her nails. Love their clean office, helpful staff and technology.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Safris and Westfield. Our vet recently retired and we were left with two geriatric pets, nearing end of life and no vet. I'm so glad that we found Westfield. They worked to source the meds my cat had been on even though it wasn't something they typically carried--just so that he didn't have to adjust to a switch. Yesterday when it was obvious that the time had come they took such good care of us. My husband and I couldn't get over... how kind and respectful the entire process was from the moment I called, to when we walked in the door, through the vet tech (who maybe almost cried with us) getting us situated and through the procedure with Dr. Safris. Like many cranky old cats, he hated being at the vet and I was worried that his last moments would be scared and screaming, but the way they handled it with an IV catheter made it so that he was calm and peaceful through the end. It was such a relief and I can't say enough how much their care and concern helped make a lousy day just a bit easier. Though I fear we'll be going back with our dog in the not distant enough future, I feel so relieved knowing we have a wonderful place to go when the time comes and I look forward to continuing the relationship under better circumstances if/when we bring new fur-babies home. Absolutely love this clinic! Techs super friendly and vet super thorough and front desk so helpful and patient ! I always call about my two cats and they are so helpful with advise through the phone and scheduling appointments. Also for declawing cats they use a lazor technique that is above and beyond the cats heal fast and no painful effects later on. We've always loved Westfield and every one who there was cares for our dogs. We drive from Norwalk to bring dogs here for care because we like them that much. This morning was terrible for me when I woke up and our pits toe nail had fallen off exposing the nerve portion and his toe was huge and swollen, bleeding everywhere. Dr Safris got him in quick, explained the plan of care, calmed my fears, and took amazing care of our pup. I couldn't be more thankful for Westfield and everything they do for our pups!!! Truly amazing and caring individuals!

I have taken my dog to other vets in the past, but I was delightfully surprised when we began taking him to Westfield. We have been seen by all of the veterinarians at Westfield over the span of five years, and they are all helpful and knowledgeable. The staff is so helpful, so nice, and really a pleasure to work with. They are always wearing smiles, and genuinely seem happy to work there. They always recognize us, even if we only see them a few times a year. I would recommend their services to anyone who wants great service and expertise in their vet.

I don't think we've ever had a better vet office experience. From the highly-attentive and caring staff to the doctors who will actually sit on the floor with your pup to take vitals in a more natural and comfortable setting, this team really has their craft down. Wait time has always been very minimal and appointment scheduling pretty easy and quick. They don't up-sell medicines or products and really focus on your individual pet's needs. What really sealed this place for us (and we were initially guided there by a soaring recommendation from another client) was that they saw we had been getting excessively charged from another place - in another state - for something we didn't really need for our pups. Huge savings and one less thing for our pups to endure. Kudos to this staff for their remarkable work. It's changed my mind on how a vet experience should look and feel.

Love them so much!! I've been taking my, not so friendly, cat there for 5 years and they are so good to her. We just rescued a cat and part of the contract was to see a vet for a free checkup but Westfield wasn't on the list. I called and asked if they would still do the visit for free because we love them and just pay for whatever shots she needs just like the other vets would and they said yes! They go above and beyond and never try to sell us things we don't need done.

I have had many great experiences at Westfield Vet Hospital. I have referred all my friends and family there. They also love it. I wouldn't let one person's bad experience influence the health care of my pets. Persia (the cat that lives there) seems very healthy and happy during each visit of mine. The staff is very helpful, trustworthy, and reliable! Dr. Safris and the staff have always been available to help me after hours anytime my pets have needed them.
