Monticello Veterinary Clinic is a mixed animal practice currently with 4 full time veterinarians. The Vets on staff are Dr. Tom Lee, Dr. Cole Burrack, Dr. Jayme Freye, and Dr. Ashley Vander Hart. Dr.Lee has been here for over 30 years. Drs. Cole Burrack, Jayme Freye and Ashley Vander Hart graduated from Iowa State University in 2013, 2014, and 2015 respectively. The office girls are Diane Fitzsimmons, Diane Liebold and Pat Adams. The Diane’s have been here for over 25 years and Pat for over 6. There is always a Vet on call for your animal emergencies.

This is the first time I’ve tried this vet as my other vet stopped doing large animals. I can’t believe they came the same day I called! The vet that came out, Jillian, was fantastic; very personable and knowledgeable. My horse loved her, too. She was very thorough and gave me some solutions to try before going the expensive route with more extensive tests. Highly recommend!

A friend recommended Monticello vet clinic. We travel from Cedar Rapids but it's well worth the drive. They're very compassionate and explained everything well. My fur babies love their new vet!!

My anti-vet dog got a large ear hematoma that I couldn't keep drained. Prices in Cedar Rapids were outrageous to have it drained. Dr. Duffy did a great job with the surgery. And gave him a vaccine wit...
My anti-vet dog got a large ear hematoma that I couldn't keep drained. Prices in Cedar Rapids were outrageous to have it drained. Dr. Duffy did a great job with the surgery. And gave him a vaccine without having him muzzled or us wrestling him around. We will now be switching from the vet we have used for 17 years. Thank you for winning over our dog and making a trip to the vet so much easier.

This place is the absolute best place to go. The docs here are way more experienced than Cedar Rapids vets. One of my cats had chronic sinusitis. The vets in CR said there was nothing they could do if antibiotics didnt work. One trip to Monticello vet plus a couple shots and some prednisolone was $50. And now they mail my prednisolone to me so I dont have to drive to monticello. This place is top notch. 5/5 easily.

We had an issue when we took our cat to have a bot fly larva removed from his neck and the vet didn't send home antibiotics, but other than that we love this vet clinic and the staff!

Worse Vet experience I've ever had. The day I picked my cat up, she was covered in her own feces and urine. They had ample time to clean her up since they had her for three days. I will never go there...

Today we had to make the tough decision to have our yellow lab Sandy put down. Jamie came out to my sisters house so we didn't have to cause her any more discomfort or pain. She was very understanding...
Today we had to make the tough decision to have our yellow lab Sandy put down. Jamie came out to my sisters house so we didn't have to cause her any more discomfort or pain. She was very understanding and answered all of our questions, and made a very difficult day for our family a little more bearable. Thank you for your kindness and compassion!

They are friendly,knowledgable and affordable. I live in Marion but drive all the way to Monticello with my dogs because of their excellent treatment of both people and animals. They have far more experience than big town clinics and charge half for their services. Can't say enough good things.

This is the first time I’ve tried this vet as my other vet stopped doing large animals. I can’t believe they came the same day I called! The vet that came out, Jillian, was fantastic; very personable and knowledgeable. My horse loved her, too.
