Dr. Dan and his staff are passionate about providing excellent care. We were referred to Riverside when one of our Huskies tore her cruciate ligament. Very concerned due to age, but she's doing great. Dr. Dan took time to speak with me on the phone, explained the issues, addressed my concerns, before we even made an appointment. The day of surgery, Dr. Dan called to give me an update. When I picked her up, he asked me to call the next day and let him know how she was doing. Dr. Dan really cares.

Dr. Dan and the whole staff are awesome! I’m from the Quad Cities and my vet referred me to Riverside because my dog needed to have surgery. They called me not even an hour after they were given my information and got him on the schedule right away. They were great when we came in and took great care of my little guy before, during and after the surgery and really took the time to put me at ease. They even called me the day after to make sure he was doing okay. I don’t use him as my normal vet but would definitely do so if I lived in the area and will definitely go back there if my dog is ever in need of surgery again, which of course I hope isn’t going to be needed!

I have taking my pets to Riverside my whole life. The last time I went in my dog ended up having worms and needed a prescription. They close at 2 and I call before I left to go pick the prescription ...
I have taking my pets to Riverside my whole life. The last time I went in my dog ended up having worms and needed a prescription. They close at 2 and I call before I left to go pick the prescription up and told them I would be a couple minutes after 2. I arrived at 3 minute after 2 o’clock and not one person was around Or even in the driveway. I was unhappy and had a conversation with the owner and he told me sorry that’s their policy, However the person to talk to me on the phone didn’t let me know she wasn’t going to be there. I also found out that my dog had cancer and was going to have to have surgery and I wanted to know that I wouldn’t have to take her to urgent care in Davenport if something went wrong on off-hours and he told me if I wanted that Service I would have to go elsewhere. Needless to say I have gone elsewhere

We can’t say enough amazing things about Riverside! We love this place and wish we could stay forever, but we are making the move to Davenport at the end of the month, which means we will be switching. The staff and Dr Dan are always so welcoming and make you feel like family. They are incredibly knowledgeable and also very reasonably priced. When we ended up rescuing some stray kittens, they did everything they could for us to keep the costs down. We sincerely appreciate all the care they have given to our fur babies and highly recommend them to anyone looking for care for their animals. Thank you for everything you have done for us!

Great place I do recommend ! We took this stray kitty we named star in to them after we had already been to two vets and they said for me to put him down , well star was found under my truck on start of the storm on the 5th and he was up in the truck and was hit by the radiator fan blades trying to stay warm , my heart dropped from the sight . We took him to Dr Dan and he fixed lil star right up he had broken rear leg a cut Achilles heal on other leg heal bones sticking out eye all messed up and huge cut across eye and face , he looked bad but Dr Dan had made me feel comfortable and showed compassion and did what he could and star is doing so much better so much better he looks happy ...star has a new home with us and we call him lucky star ..thank u doctor Dan I recommend this practice to anyone !!!

Dr. Dan saved our dogs life. She got really sick one day out of nowhere. They got us in right away, just before they closed for the day and ran test and found she had a really bad stomach bacterial issue. He said he had only ever seen it twice. He started treating her asap and keep her over night. When she did come home he would call and check up on her to make sure everything was OK. We love Riverside and would never dream of going anywhere else!

We have been going to this office for 7 years now and I would never go anywhere else! The staff is so kind and caring. They make you feel like you and your pet are the most important people they will see all day. Both doctors are excellent and I fully trust our dogs care to them. We have been through some procedures this past year with our dog getting older but the staff and doctors are always there for you to call and willing to take time to talk to you and explain things to you. We never feel like we are a burden! If you need a veterinarian in the eastern Iowa area, you can't go wrong with Riverside Animal Hospital.

Last Sept my baby girl had a weird episode that landed her in the emergency room in Arizona while on a cross country trip to California. I had the vet there send the Xrays to Dr. Dan who on not even seeing her suggested I get a cardiogram done immediately, he suspected heart disease. The emergency room vet had no idea and suggested lung cancer or pnemonia, very extreme opposites, but Dan knew better than that based on my description of her episode and the Xrays. Sure enough she had heart disease. The doctor I saw in CA kept Dan in the loop the entire time and they made decisions together. I am so grateful I had extra time with her, which I would not have had if I had trusted the emergency room vet's diagnosis. I'm so glad my gut told me to have him do a double check on her Xrays. Then a few months later at Christmas my other cat wasn't doing well, I thought it was grief, but turned out it was a thyroid tumor. I flew him home with me over the holidays so he could do the surgery to remove them, he drew me a diagram explaining exactly what he would do depending on his findings once inside, and he video taped it so it was amazing to see, and my baby boy is doing really well since, finding his new balance. Dr Dan gave me the best Christmas gift ever of more time with my little furbaby. The staff at Riverside is wonderful and friendly, a family environment who loves every animal that enters and treats it as their own.

One of our shorkies, Wicket, was vomiting with traces of blood. Our regular vet said feed him and let it go since he was closed for the day. Wanting a second opinion and someone to see him, we called Riverside. They worked him in immediately and welcomed us with open arms! After an x-ray, blood work and a tired pup, we found out it was pancreatitis -- a pretty big deal that needs treated. Guess who has a new vet!

We love this place and wish we could stay forever, but we are making the move to Davenport at the end of the month, which means we will be switching. The staff and Dr Dan are always so welcoming and make you feel like family. They are incredibly knowledgeable and also very reasonably priced. Then a few months later at Christmas my other cat wasn't doing well, I thought it was grief, but turned out it was a thyroid tumor. I flew him home with me over the holidays so he could do the surgery to remove them, he drew me a diagram explaining exactly what he would do depending on his findings once inside, and he video taped it so it was amazing to see, and my baby boy is doing really well since, finding his new balance. Dr Dan gave me the best Christmas gift ever of more time with my little furbaby. The staff at Riverside is wonderful and friendly, a family environment who loves every animal that enters and treats it as their own.

One of our shorkies, Wicket, was vomiting with traces of blood. Our regular vet said feed him and let it go since he was closed for the day. Wanting a second opinion and someone to see him, we called Riverside. They worked him in immediately and welcomed us with open arms! After an x-ray, blood work and a tired pup, we found out it was pancreatitis -- a pretty big deal that needs treated. Guess who has a new vet!
