We have been using this vet since we had our first dog together. The staff at this location is always friendly. The care we recieve is always amazing. They probably aren't the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for if you wanted the cheapest you probably wouldn't recieve the best care. We recently had to put down one of our dogs. The staff here cried with us and sent us a card signed by everyone telling us how sorry they were for our loss. It's great to have people that make you feel like more then just a number. Waited 20 minutes in lobby to get helped. Made and appointment and nobody was there to help me. Once my cat got the help she needs it was very expensive. The staff is friendly but wait time in and empty clinic was too much. Will be changing vets. Read Less

The rooms are very clean they took care of my little doll perfectly! The staff are amazing! Very friendly atmosphere, quick service, pet friendly, they even have a side specifically for cats! I went to get my cats treated for fleas I am new at dealing with this the veterinarian was great very helpful and patient but Erin the vet tech was horrible very rude snotty didn't want to help us she made me feel dirty because I needed to have my kitty's treated she was unhelpful when paying my bill I spent 400 dollars there are treated terrible I will tell everyone I hope she doesn't treat others as badly as she did us Read Less

I've only been to this vet a couple of times (once for vaccinations and once for an eye infection), but I can see how they've been able to continue providing long term service to many reviewers. I would like to address the concern regarding the cost of this vet I saw mentioned in a few reviews. 1) You get what you pay for in most cases throughout life and 2) if you were to compare the prices of this vet with other vets in the WDM area, they're actually quite competitive (not to mention the extremely convenient hours they are available!). Maybe I've just been lucky, but I feel I've always been treated fairly and with respect at this clinic (which is saying a lot considering I woke up 10 minutes before the first visit and arrived a half-asleep disheveled mess!). I'm just saying, give them a call and see for yourself. My dog's regular vet is in a very small town I grew up in because I love the personalized feel and individualized care. I can honestly say I received the same treatment from these individuals and they haven't known me my whole life. So thank you to all of the employees of this vet clinic for taking the time to not only care for my pet, but for taking the time to make me feel confident in your desire to care for my pet. Animal Care Clinic West is great. We have taken our dogs there for over 3 years. Dr. Heyer is the best. She's always able to help with any of the problems our dogs have. She works late and weekends. Wouldn't trust any other vet. Read Less

This clinic is expensive and not personalized for each client. Also, our customer service experience was horrible on two consecutive occasions - mainly because the front desk acted as the vet expert rather than having the vet call and talk to the client themselves. We had expensive tests done on our pet, then never received a phone call back about the results (almost 2 weeks went by). When we called to talk to the vet about the results, the receptionist became extremely annoyed that we wanted to talk directly to the vet to discuss the test results. We are extremely disappointed because we gave them ALL of our business i.e. prescription food and snacks, medication, medical appointments, etc. Read Less

Clinic does good work and staff are friendly, but they are extremely expensive. We were given an estimate on a routine surgery on our cat and the final cost was $350 over the estimate! It would be one thing if there had been unexpected problems, but from my understanding everything went as expected. Beware that the price they quote you is NOT what you will end up paying. I wrote a long scathing review about 2 years ago when this vet about killed my dog & my review is magically gone! A teeth cleaning turned into a bs diagnosis & 2 years to live! My poor dog! I still feel horrible I brought himHere. he's perfectly fine. Alive & well no thanks to these jerks. I did give them the opportunity to make it right. They ignored me & claimed 0 responsibility. My "boys" love Dr. Kim and the staff at Metro Cat Hospital. I have been with them for over 12 years and they have helped me with aging animals and now my two HIGH maintenance boys.... allergies, heart condition and they saved my youngest guys life when he was a kitten. Please consider my story before using this vet clinic. I had been a customer for ~15 years and when the time came for us to say goodbye to our 15 year old cat, we knew. They watched me cry as I held her kitty paw and say goodbye. They then bad-mouthed us behind our backs. They lied about us not vaccinating, they lied about us not being up to date on vaccines, they lied about what is required by law vs. their clinic, and worst of all, they said we were not good animal parents and judged us. Please, take a moment and read my full story and you will understand why I can not ever, ever set foot in this clinic again. We think the world of our pets and to have them judge us and say we do not, is beyond hurtful. We first heard about this clinic when my parents were looking for affordable pet care for relatively routine problems for their cats and dog. I went to them when my cat had a blocked ureter (very serous) because they have a specialized ""cat hospital"" as part of their clinic. They took AMAZING care of him and were very sympathetic, pesonable and cooperative esp. when they found out I had had surgery the day before and we were strapped for cash. The vet techs were very kind and Dr Heyer was not only kind but very knowledgable and honest about our options for him. When he needed a serious and complex (but life-saving) surgery Dr Heyer and the techs personally called multiple clinics to find the best surgeon and price for us - their clinic is smaller than some and while they handle a wide range of conditions they are not an emergency or surgery clininc which is what we needed. Follow-up from Dr Heyer has been great - she seems to personally care about our cat and us - and I will DEFINITELY be taking our cat back to them in the future, their love of animals is behind everything they do and I wouldn't trust anyone else with our buddy's life!! My clinic couldn't get me in and my dog needed his vaccines, so I called this place. They got me in right away. Dr. Bollinger was wonderful and full of information. She knows her stuff. I decided to make this my new full time clinic, because not only was the staff great, but they have conveniant hours for after work and even on Sundays. You can tell they strive to meet your needs.
