Jordan Creek Animal Hospital, built and established in 1991 by Dr. David D. Whitney, is a full service veterinary hospital providing treatment for dogs and cats. Our primary concern is the health and well being of your pet. In addition to providing quality medical services, we are dedicated to maintaining the health of your pet through preventive medicine.
We appreciate the importance of your relationship with your pet and will work closely with you in developing a health program. By developing a relationship with you, we can work together to optimize the health of your pet. Client education, preventive medicine, and the personal and professional growth of our staff through continuing education are all important factors that contribute to the quality of care we provide.
We are very proud of the superior boarding service that we offer for our patients. It has been a very popular aspect of our animal hospital. In keeping with our commitment to a personal approach to animal care, we provide 3-5 individual walks per day as well as play time with your pet if requested.

Dr. Whitney's team is the very top of the list of vets I have had over my many years of parenting fur-babies. These professionals truly care about my dogs' welfare. I just experienced the dreaded decision-making: surgery with a dark prognosis vs. euthanasia. Because these docs shot straight with me, I opted for the latter. Dr. Kueter expertly and lovingly helped my Scruffy's pain/discomfort, and my baby girl passed without incident (except for my broken heart, of course). I highly, highly recommend these vets for their professionalism, knowledge, and their love for animals. All of the staff are included in this five-star review.

t. My dogs have had Dr. Dan Whitney as their vet from the first day JCAH opened. I'm very grateful and appreciative of the staff. Their care and compassion is exemplary. I feel blessed to have such expertise and skill involved in all aspects of my pet's care. Even though the "pets" are their clients, the staff is equally caring and concerned with owner's questions and concerns over the animals health and care needs. I appreciate the attentiveness and efforts to provide the best care possible. Bravo JCAH! No wonder you are voted #1 Vet in the West Des Moines/Waukee Area. Thanks for the great work. They are very caring. There care is excellent.. its not the cheapest in the area but i would rate as near the best or possibly the best. You get what you pay for. I did lot of research before I move...
They are very caring. There care is excellent.. its not the cheapest in the area but i would rate as near the best or possibly the best. You get what you pay for. I did lot of research before I moved vets. I watched them and how they handled the dogs they boarded. I watched how they treated the dogs staying with them by how they handled their lead. They walk the boarded dogs often...they seem very contentious. They have been accused of trying to sell extra services. I havent found that they offer any more than is necessary. They do offer comprehensive service and land on the side of more care than less care. There are times when i choose less care. We've been there in time of emergency and they were super helpful. They did a follow up call to make sure that Sampson was doing well.

I love the staff at JCAH! Dr. Mingus is excellent; she genuinely cares about the well-being of my cats and has never tried to "sell" me services they don't need. The pricing is in line with the other AAHA accredited veterinary clinics in the area; if you take the time to educate yourself about your pet's breed and preventative health regimen, the cost shouldn't be a surprise.

Best Vet in the State! We had our new adopted Husky Reba in this morning for her first vet check up! We got right in to see Dr. Keuster, had her exam, and she answered all of my questions. We were in there for an hour which was absolutely awesome! To top off the great visit, we were given a sample bag of some good grain free dog food, AND it was a courtesy check up since it was her first since her adoption! Great Vet Hospital and great staff!! We took our old dog here, and couldn't have asked for a better Vet. Thanks for everything Jordan Creek Animal Hospital!!!

My cat, Kendall, and I visited for the first time two days ago. The experience was fantastic! The staff that worked with us were all amazing - we immediately were given a room so Kendall could be more comfortable, Kendall was kept away from other animals to keep her from agitation, and she was gently given shots and had her blood drawn. I highly recommend this facility, the genuinely nice and accommodating staff and our doctor, Rachel Varley. Did I mention the cat food discount... awesome.

Dr. Mingus has been amazing helping with our cat Hurley! We brought Hurley to JCAH in an emergency type situation on a Saturday afternoon. They got me in as quickly as they could (within a half hour of my call in panic as they were also closing soon) we brought Hurley in with him having difficultly breathing. He was scared as could be and being scared only made him struggle to breath more! Dr. Mingus acted quickly to the situation and attended to him right away! In a horrific situation, she continued to keep us calm and assure us he would be ok. She kept us updated every 10 minutes while trying to regulate his breathing. Her caring, fast acting, and honesty really put my trust in her! She was willing to discuss cost and options and understood budgeting comes with vet care! She did not judge. Our cat had to stay the weekend and she gave us the option to take him home or leave him there for the weekend. I let him stay there under her care because I felt better with her caring for him with the professional equipment and trusted her 100% and still do! Thank you doctor Mingus! You have been amazing and I really appreciate your time, and caring, honest personality! Thank you!

We have been going to Jordan Creek Animal Hospital for 20+ years. I would never take my beloved pets anywhere else! Dr. Whitney and staff are always caring and go above and beyond to help with any problem you maybe facing with your pet(s)! I have given Dr. Whitney my fair share of difficult health problems..and a very limited budget for him to work with..and I have never been disappointed in his ability to help solve our issues! Mr. Munchkin has been our latest BIG health problem, at 17 going on 18...we wanted more time with our beloved boy, but did not want him to suffer at all...and of course there's is always the $$ to worry about...Dr Whitney never gave up, always watching our pennies for us, and came up with a way for us to have at least alittle more quality time with our boy..and we couldn't be happier!!! Jordan Creek is number one with our family!!!! CW and Diane Williams

Dr. Whitney's team is the very top of the list of vets I have had over my many years of parenting fur-babies. These professionals truly care about my dogs' welfare. I just experienced the dreaded decision-making: surgery with a dark prognosis vs. euthanasia. Because these docs shot straight with me, I opted for the latter. I love the staff at JCAH! Dr. Mingus is excellent; she genuinely cares about the well-being of my cats and has never tried to "sell" me services they don't need. Best Vet in the State! We had our new adopted Husky Reba in this morning for her first vet check up! We got right in to see Dr. Keuster, had her exam, and she answered all of my questions. We were in there for an hour which was absolutely awesome! To top off the great visit, we were given a sample bag of some good grain free dog food, AND it was a courtesy check up since it was her first since her adoption! Great Vet Hospital and great staff!! We took our old dog here, and couldn't have asked for a better Vet. Thanks for everything Jordan Creek Animal Hospital!!!
