Dr. Wedekin and her tech were so compassionate today. I've had my lab for 12 years and I had to say goodbye today. It was heart wrenching. Everyone there went above and beyond to accommodate. I called after hours the night before and Dr. Budding called back in 5 minutes and gave advice. I brought her in the next morning without an appt and they worked me in. Then they gave as many options as they could. Then they gave extra time for me to make decisions and then wait for my husband to meet me. Horrified at the last exam that my cat had to endure never ever have I seen my poor kitty bleed so bad after having a anal exam and he was also cut when they shaved him ...My family have been long time patient's at Sunset View hospital ..I would have been more understanding had they told me they injured my cat but to stuff him in his kennel without saying one word to me is unexcetable and pathetic practice.. Alright, now that I'm actually looking at vets, I'm convinced they pay people to write good reviews... We brought one of our cats here after getting her to get a pretty severe ear infection checked out. They were incredibly nice, took care of our needs, and sent us on our way. Fast forward a couple of months. We have now taken our other cat in, and since visiting, *both* of our cats have developed ear issues. Additionally, during a routine check up, we were quoted a price of $180 for getting some blood work done to test for some suspected issues. But when we called to arrange the blood work and to get the cats looked at for the repeat ear issues, the price of blood work has magically gone up to $220. We'll be taking our business elsewhere, that's for sure. Short version: Shady business practices at best. Read Less
