I enjoyed the staff but my dog was at the boarding kennel for three days and didn't go out at all! He peed for three minutes straight and he hadn't eaten much either because he was absolutely starving when we got home. My family has taken their animals here since I was a small child. Now in my thirties with a fur baby of my own I can't bring myself to trust anyone else. Cost is relevant to the market. I will say, this past spring my baby got an awful case of "hotspots" (which I have never heard of before). The staff jumped through hoops to ensure he would make a great recovery with out any infection. I was kinda freaking out and a HUGE thank you to Dr. Jon. What a stand up guy. You get what you pay for! AVC is pricier than our small-town vet, but, while we've not had any other experiences with other vets since moving to the area, AVC has taken great care of our golden retriever. They are very reachable, thorough, and caring. Read Less

We have taken our fur baby to be groomed here several times. Unfortunately the most recent will be our last. They shaved our puppy without a phone call first, they only told me when they called to let me know the dog was ready. Even then I was told "I had to cut her short". Not shaved. Very upset. Very unfriendly. I came in with my dog and kept pushing tests and expensive dog food. Got in a fight with the the son (who was the vet there). The mom who is still there, is very grumpy! Decided to change vets and we are much more happier there! Read Less

This review is for my experience with Dr. Aluise. Upon entering you will get a warm welcome where the clinic will take the time to remember your pets' names. Dr. Aluise is kind, thorough, a great listener and truly compassionate towards his clients and their pets. He is very knowledgeable in medicine and informative to make sure your pet is well-cared for. This isn't your average pushy, arrogant doctor that throws medical terminology as a weapon against you. You can tell if your vet shows pride in their work or is just going through the motions and "processing" your pet. Dr Jon it and his staff are amazing. I brought in my 12 year old dog today. I was concerned about a mass on his rear end. Dr Jon saw him. he listened and address to every concerned that I had. They have never been pushy. They don't rush though appointments. I feel like it's always your decision there and they just make sure that you're very well informed before they do things. A+ vet! My wife and I have been taking our pets to Andover Veterinary Clinic for about five years and have received exceptional service. They earned a place in our heart and our loyalty in how they have helped our German Shorthair Pointer Lucky. They diagnosed her with lymphoma and kindly laid out all the options for us. We were not rushed but genuinely treated with care and compassion. My wife and I have not been blessed with children and we found her wounded shortly after getting married. My grooming serves have been IMPECCABLE! Even though I work on the clinic side I had gone to other groomers thinking it was less expensive, and hey, it's just a bath and a few snips right? Ahhhh, no. Our kennel ended up being cheaper than other larger groomers, (I still pay full price for grooms) and they were not up to par with the quality I received. My relationship with Andover Veterinary Clinic spans over 15 years. The entire staff truly cares about their patients; the pets and their people. They have always been there when I have needed them, whether it was a phone call or a last minute office visit. Years ago, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, it became necessary to euthanize a greyhound I had rescued. When we arrived at the clinic, the staff had spread a blanket on the lawn behind the clinic and Dr. Gary came outside to give her the injections.
