I love Heartland! My German Shepherd Dogs are always treated so well and I always have peace of mind knowing that they are getting the best care! I drive from the west side to see Dr. Bill and Dr.Judy. The building is always clean and they sell the RX food my girl's need. The staff is awesome and know my dogs and me by name. Veterinary care = excellent. Staff = well trained individuals who obviously love animals. Play and Stay = our dog loves to go there and play with other dogs. When we pull into the parking lot she is very excited. Out of the car on her leash she practically drags us inside even though she only weighs 12 pounds. Overall = they treat our pets like their own. I have been seeing Dr's Bill and Gary since they opened the clinic. I have greyhounds which apparently react differently than most other dogs to procedures as well as their bloodwork is different. These doctors have always treated me and my pets with care and dignity. I have watched their staff grow and some folks are better than others - but that is true in any clinic. My daughter is interested in veterinary medicine and the docs allowed her to watch and discussed some of the simple procedures they did in the office. I could not imagine taking my pets to any other clinic in the Wichita area.Read Less

Love this clinic! I used to live on the East Side and take my pets here. Now I moved out west and take my pets there (won't name the clinic because I don't want Heartland to lose business!) But, they are great. Dr. Bill is so fantastic. They always have someone available for us when we needed it, they accepted walk-ins and they cared. One of the best clinics on the east side of town. A friend recommended a different animal hospital for my dogs because this one was generally more expensive than others in the area, but I wanted to try it because of the attached play and stay. Initially, the staff was friendly and quick to schedule appointments. However, what changed my opinion is that I was recommended a procedure for my dog that he didn't need. I have been to several different vets in other areas I have lived, and this is a red flag for me. I want to always do what's best for my pets, but I also don't have an endless budget for tests/exams/etc and need a vet who can help me make the best decisions with that in mind. When I found out that my pet didn't really need the recommended procedure, the vet made me feel as if I didn't want what was best for my pet. I have had some really great vets in the past, but I feel as if this animal hospital is focused too much on the bottom line rather than solid, appropriate care for animals. If you need to balance pet care with your budget, I think there are better options in the area. Read Less
