I couldn’t allow myself to give 5 stars, unfortunately. The staff was great! The vet and assistant were fabulous! Unfortunately, the groomer rubbed my husband and I the wrong way. She told us there must’ve been a misunderstanding with the groom we had scheduled because she had plans and wanted to be out by 2 , which didn’t leave enough time for my puppy to be groomed. As someone who works in retail and customer service I feel this could have been explained and handled differently. From a customer stand point, I would much rather have been told that she just didn’t have time, rather than her say she made plans and wanted to be out by 2. That made me feel as if she didn’t value me as a customer. For this reason, I will be cancelling my grooming appointment with her and will look elsewhere. I will however, keep my appointment for shots and health check ups for my puppy because the vet and assistant were patient and kind. They understood that my puppy was very hyper and playful and that he just loves people, rather than getting annoyed with how wiggly he was! Thank you guys for that! Read Less

They are the most friendly group of vet professionals I have every come in contact with!! They are fast friendly helpful! They truly do care about each and every furbaby that comes in there door! I can't even began to tell you about all there services are. What impressed me is there in house lab. I have 3 boxers and when I see a bump on them they get them right in. They take needle and draw from the bump. Wait a couple minutes and they come back with the results. That s what I love so much. You get test results fast. You don't have to wait a week or more!! My doggie, my Boudreaux, was deathly sick. He had no platelets in his blood. He was bleeding from his gums and internally with the blood spots showing up on his skin. Some crazy autoimmune problem that came out of the blue. I took him to Dr. Drake at Rainbow Vally here in Derby. Highly recommend this vet for anyone in the Derby/Mulvane area! After going out of my way to take my dog to a Wichita vet (Animal Health Center of Wichita) to only be treated horribly I decided to look around for a better vet. Being the person I am I want the absolute best for my children (dogs) so I knew the next vet I would chose had to be the best. I did visit a couple other vets in derby and Wichita before I came here. Not only did everyone here make me feel comfortable but they made my dogs feel comfortable as well. My animals and I love the Doctors and office staff. You can go in and they remember your pet's names and your name. The office is quiet and not chaotic. We love going in to see Peg and George, too. We started our cat out at El Paso Vet. We did not like it there, as it was always noisy and chaotic. Yes, Rainbow Valley Vet costs more than El Paso Vet, but I gladly pay because I know that my animals will get great care in a serene environment. Read Less

Rainbow Valley Vet is a great place to take your pet for regular checkups and emergency care when they are open. They have always gotten my Trevor right in when has needed to be seen. They know Trevor and treat him like one of the family. They have always called me in a couple days after he has been seen to check up on his progress. Rainbow Valley is the BEST clinic we have ever been to!  (Have had multiple pets there for several years).  The staff is consistent in their care and patience with the pets (and owners!) - and always willing to go above and beyond.  My lab used to get so stressed going to the vet - but because their environment is stress free, with lots of love - both him and I remain calm.  The Drs. and staff also take each pets personality into consideration with the care.  When my lab was very ill, the Dr knew the illness would be worse with more stress and kept him with him in his office for observation that day vs a kennel to avoid more stress.  Not to mention they came one Sat right before closing to my house to save my dog's life before we had to rush to the ER doc for a 4 day stay.  I cannot recommend another clinic or staff more than this one!  They have us as customers for life! I recently took my 8 week old kitten to the Rainbow Valley Veterinary Clinic and felt like I didn't know what I was talking about when I was expressing my concerns and I was not taken seriously. I was pressured to get my kittens nails clipped. The staff was incompetent, they clipped her nails, and clipped them too short to where one even bled. My kitten had her first vet visit and it was traumatizing for her. I will not be returning and I felt Eddy and Dr. Miller were very disrespectful. Read Less

I cannot say enough about the ENTIRE staff at Rainbow! They treat me and my lab as if we are family. I have been going there for about 3 years now and they not only put up with my 110lb dog and his craziness during visits, but recently saved his life with a last min visit. They take each of my concerned calls seriously and always make me feel like we are their top priority (but of course I know they treat each patient this way!). It is so nice to have an "extended" family who knows my dog is my "child" and puts me at ease with everything they do and during his stays.
