Since 1990 Turner Animal Hospital has been providing high quality veterinary care at an reasonable price. Dr. Eric McConkey purchased Turner Animal Hospital in 2012. In 2016 Dr. Stephanie Brennan joined the Turner Animal Hospital Team. Dr. McConkey is a 2009 graduate from Kansas State University and Dr. Brennan is a 2015 graduate from Oklahoma State University.

OK I originally had them marked as a 3 star but I'm changing it after my last couple of visits. I took my little dog that is 15 years old he has been going there all his life. Normally his hair cut is about 45 dollars. This last time I took him they called my wife at work and said they need to give him a sedative to calm him down because he was trying to bite them. Which I thought was a little odd because he only has like 3 teeth left anyways and they have never had that problem with him before. Anyways when I went to pick him up they told me that his haircut was $101.00 dollars because they had to put him under. Which was a complete shock. When they gave him back to me he was still under an couldn't even stand on his own. He was like that for a day and a half. A few weeks prior to this I took him up there because he was developing a cyst on his head and on his eyelid. They told me it would be around $1800.00 to remove them an there was no guarantee that they wouldn't come back. When I questioned them about the cost they said the reason it cost so much was because they had to do blood work to determine how much anesthesia to give him to put him under for the surgery. Which doesn't make sense to me because they obviously didn't do blood work before they put him under to give him his haircut.

I have had my puppies going there since birth and the doctors and everybody that works there are all awesome. My pups contacted parvo and that hospital brought them out of it and now they are healthy...

We have taken all of our pets there for many years. When Dr. Hamilton sold the vet center we originally was scared of what the new practice would be like. They have in my opinion kept the same spirit running Turner Animal Hospital the same way Dr Hamilton did. Very helpful and reasonably priced. Since my son started working in the vet center at Greatplains we don't take our pets up there as much(we go with first available slot). They are still the best place to go.

Very happy with Dr. Eric McConkey. We needed a new family vet after moving to KC. Dr. McConkey actually took time to sit down and go over things. Several vets I have been to don't take the time to thoroughly look over my animals and certainly don't visit with me about my questions. I can see the doctors passion for animals and that's important. Their prices are very reasonable as well. We will be happy to call this clinic our new vet!

This place is a joke. They treated my dog for something she didn't have and said to schedule a follow up visit, which for some reason I couldn't do at the front desk. Called a dozen times at least, with no answer or cal back after leaving messages. Went to a different vet and they treated her for the correct issue and hasn't had a problem since. Turner Animal Hospital is not a place I'd recommend people take their pets to.

My 5 yr old Thai Korat was having urinary problems so last night I Googled vets in kck. Have moved back and since Swansons is now VCA and pricey had to find somewhere. I read the reviews here and decided to try. I called the office this morning explained the circumstances and they offered a 1:15 then said wait we have a 10:15,mind you this was ten till ten, so I took the am. We saw Dr Brennan.
The staff, the Dr and Skittle the cat were impressive,knowledgadble,informative, professional and friendly especially Skittles who sat in my lap. The prices are great for people on a fixed low income. Exam $39 here over 50$ other places. They gave genuine concerned care to my Alley Cat.
I have found my new vet and it feels like Doc Swanson, the old man and his sons did. Thanks guys.

Had to bring my boxer in because he injured his leg explained the dog park on Sunday. Everyone was very nice and the doctor made sure they explained every step that would need to be taken to fix Brody's torn ACL. The doctor gave me her recommended option but also gave me other options that were a little cheaper to accommodate my budget. Brody felt at home here, I recommend them! Thank you!

I'm extremely disappointed to hear about how this business treated my family and their dog after she was fatally and cruelly shot. It's rather poor to not help a family who comes to you after hearing wonderful things about you and you help make a tragedy greater. You're here to help animals and their family, not profit off of them. Poor service, and I will not be recommending anymore.

This business lost the business of a family who had been trusting them with the care of their pets for 25+ years when they denied services to us during an emergency situation and refused to let us bring our beloved baby, who was dying, in during business hours so they could put her to sleep. Instead, we had to take her to the Humane Society of KC who was very sympathetic to our pet's and family's needs and despite the fact that they were not taking walk-ins, did not turn us away. Turner Animal Hospital is a huge disappointment and we will never forget how they turned their backs on us when we needed them the most.

Turner Animal Hospital provided outstanding service to my dachshund who was having an allergic reaction to her yearly vaccinations. We had never been to Turner, but stopped because we did not think we could make it all the way to our normal vet's office. They took us right back, gave Hazel the medications she needed, and had us wait to make sure she improved before sending us home with home meds. They were amazing, quick, and so nice in our dog's emergency. Also, all of the people who were in the waiting room were super nice in letting us move ahead of them. What a great place!

I grew up going to this vet and continue taking my pets there now. I have three cats and none of them freak out while we are there. It's quiet and the staff are calm and gentle. Going to the vet is generally upsetting for pet and pet parent but not here. I am usually upset and stressed when my cats are sick but I can somewhat relax here because my cats are somewhat relaxed. I find the prices to be generally around half of what I've seen at other vets. They are also very thorough, even if there's a specific thing wrong, they check over your pet to make sure there's no additional issues. There are so sweet with follow-up calls. The atmosphere overflows into the waiting room... I see that most pets and pet parents are relaxed and friendly... Even happy to be there. It does look tiny from outside but I definitely urge you to give it a shot!!

Dr. Randy Hamilton is one of the few good guys left in this profession. He knows what we're all up against both emotionally and financially when it comes to our pets; he does not take advantage of either. The good doctor is in it for the love of animals and the love of his profession. Great guy, great vet, great staff. We've been going there for over 10 years and will never go anywhere else.

There is no greater animal hospital in the world! My husband started with Dr. Hamilton when he was just a teen with one cat. After we were married, he turned me into a convert! He's been there for us through crazy rescued kittens getting their first care, to making sure our old timers leave this world with dignity and respect. From simple nips to more serious issues, he and his staff always give us every option, never putting them through unnecessary treatment *or* denying them care - it's always up to us. All with a positive attitude from both doctor and staff, no matter what the situation. And his fee structure is very, very fair. There's no excuse not to insure your pets are receiving all they need if Turner Animal Hospital is your go-to veterinary clinic!

OK I originally had them marked as a 3 star but I'm changing it after my last couple of visits. I took my little dog that is 15 years old he has been going there all his life. We have taken all of our pets there for many years. When Dr. Hamilton sold the vet center we originally was scared of what the new practice would be like. Called a dozen times at least, with no answer or cal back after leaving messages. Went to a different vet and they treated her for the correct issue and hasn't had a problem since. Turner Animal Hospital is not a place I'd recommend people take their pets to.

I would highly recommend Turner Animal Hospital. We had to have our pet euthanized and Dr. Stephanie Brennan was so kind and caring with us as was the whole staff. We have used them for years and we are very happy that this clinic is so close and so reasonably priced!!

I grew up going to this vet and continue taking my pets there now. I have three cats and none of them freak out while we are there. It's quiet and the staff are calm and gentle. Going to the vet is generally upsetting for pet and pet parent but not here. I am usually upset and stressed when my cats are sick but I can somewhat relax here because my cats are somewhat relaxed. I find the prices to be generally around half of what I've seen at other vets. They are also very thorough, even if there's a specific thing wrong, they check over your pet to make sure there's no additional issues. There are so sweet with follow-up calls. The atmosphere overflows into the waiting room... I see that most pets and pet parents are relaxed and friendly... Even happy to be there. It does look tiny from outside but I definitely urge you to give it a shot!!

Caring vet and staff, with friendly, efficient service. Reasonable rates and love that they are open on Saturday mornings on a walk-in basis.

Dr. Randy Hamilton is one of the few good guys left in this profession. He knows what we're all up against both emotionally and financially when it comes to our pets; he does not take advantage of either. The good doctor is in it for the love of animals and the love of his profession. Great guy, great vet, great staff. We've been going there for over 10 years and will never go anywhere else.

There is no greater animal hospital in the world! My husband started with Dr. Hamilton when he was just a teen with one cat. After we were married, he turned me into a convert! He's been there for us through crazy rescued kittens getting their first care, to making sure our old timers leave this world with dignity and respect. From simple nips to more serious issues, he and his staff always give us every option, never putting them through unnecessary treatment *or* denying them care - it's always up to us. All with a positive attitude from both doctor and staff, no matter what the situation. And his fee structure is very, very fair. There's no excuse not to insure your pets are receiving all they need if Turner Animal Hospital is your go-to veterinary clinic!

I've been coming to TAH for over 12 years. They don't charge you and arm and a leg to treat your animal.
