My wife and I rescued a sick kitten and tried to take him here.
Dr. Driscoll would only treat him with one medication at a time, advising us that he might not feel great if he was administered more than one shot at a time. She also refused to treat his diarrhea, treating it as a low priority, which almost killed him. Each time this happened, we had to repay an appointment fee.
After a month we had spent almost $800.00 at the Cat Clinic trying to get our kitten healthy, where he just was used to wring money from additional appointment fees. Besides that, on one day, we had an appointment for both of our cats back to back where we brought in our adolescent who got the sniffles, and when we asked if it was possible she got it from the kitten, were told, “No, no, your cats definitely couldn’t get each other sick.” When we brought in the kitten an hour later, we were told, “Your kitten probably got the adult sick.” Regardless, there is some incompetency going on in one of those statements or at the very least fallacious assumptions prior to having information available.
The biggest problem I had was that she failed to maintain control of the same kitten while taking his temperature and he panicked and buckled on the thermometer. I did not know that a cat could scream so loud, and scream, and scream, and scream.
She advised us that this was normal while she kept forcing the thermometer for so long that I thought I was going to be sick. I used to be in the military. She hurt him so much that he wound up with permanent trust issues with other people. Before that he was always very gregarious. He recovered mentally but still keeps his space with people and has strong space boundaries.
At any rate, after 800 dollars and ten different appointments, our kitten almost died one night and on the advice of a friend, we took him to Eudora Animal Hospital. $50.00, ONLY ONE APPOINTMENT later, a handful of shots, and we had a happy healthy kitten who survived to adulthood and is a happy house cat after a narrow shave with the Cat Clinic.
I advise, don’t go here. We almost lost our family member trying to have them treated here while they were regarded as a stream of revenue, and also sunk eight hundred dollars for literally nothing here. I have literally advised people to Eudora Animal Hospital while walking past the cat clinic. Read Less
