Since 1996, I have brought my furry kids to Stateline Animal Hospital, 7 dogs. I just receive my dogs' records and a letter from the "NEW" owner telling me I'm FIRED as a client. I was told I complain too much. My dogs were given vaccinations twice - without my permission. Prescriptions dog food was stored in a shed with outside temperature above 90 degrees. After two floods and a sewage plant over flowing into rising water, the facility was flooded both times. The facility never hired professional services for clean up. Not allowed to express an opinion without being accused of being a complainer and fired. I brought appliances, hauled appliances, donated hoses and cash to assist staff with lost wages, which was requested by the owner. Suddenly without notice I was fired as a client. Tried to reach the groomer to cancel my remaining appointments, Jessica at the front desk would not put my call through to say goodbye to the groomer. Twenty two years spanning 3 decades. Bought holiday meals, cookies for the staff and pizza parties too. The owner even called me at 700am asking me if I would buy the facility a new refrigerator and get it delivered. She found a use refrigerator and I still have up my day transporting appliances. But I'm too much trouble because I speak up when my dogs were given vaccines without permission. I was out of town and asked for a conversation before treatment. I refused to pay for the unauthorized vaccines. I was told I did not care about disease prevention and I complain too much. Three weeks later, I'm fired. 5/5/2018. Beware!

Veterinarians get to see every day how attached people are to their pets. It must be a temptation for some Vetrinarians to take advantage of an emergency situation that a pet owner might be having.
Last week when our German Shepherd ( Ruby ) was severely injured, we made several calls trying to find a good Vet and honestly we wanted to find a vet that wouldn't charge an arm and a leg. Every vet we called in the area , sure seemed like they were trying to take advantage of us. The prices they were quoting were insane! Until we found State line Animal Hospital . Not only did they move their busy schedule around to help our dog , but they were kind and loving and understanding. At the end of the day, State line Animal Hospital was HALF the price of all the other Vets in a 20 mile radius. I have already referred them to at least 5 friends . So Keep up the great work and I hope this review doesn't make you want to raise your prices. It's so refreshing to find someone charging incredibly fair prices for 5 star ⭐️ quality service.

I love their integrated holistic and standard practices. The level of competence and caring is unsurpassed, and every member of the staff I have met has been wonderful as well. If you need a good veterinarian for your furry baby, you will be pleased and comforted with State Line Animal Hospital.

I made an appointment to get my dogs nails trimmed. The receptionist talked me into giving him a bath as well so I figured why not? It wasn't a bad price. Staff in general is nice. The woman on the phone said it would take about 2 to 2 and a half hours, and that I could drop my dog off before work around 8:45 a.m. and he would be ready to go by 1 p.m. on my lunch hour! Awesome! I have a pretty busy & hectic schedule so I was hoping that 4 hours would be plenty of time to get his nails trimmed and a bath. Nope, wrong... I get there around 1:10 and pay. Then they bring out my dog and he's walking on his tip toes like he had JUST been bathed. The woman then says, "oh wait, his nails look long, looks like we didn't trim his nails." Then takes him back there again while I wait an additional 20 minutes [on my lunch hour!] I think that's pretty unacceptable when I made an appointment and gave plenty of time for the services to be done. He also had a few medium sized red splotches/bumps on his head, not sure what that was from but I didn't get an explanation. He also urinated for about 1 minute straight when I took him out of the building, as if he hadn't been let out to relieve himself in a while. Not a good first trip and that will be my last.
EDIT: As of April 6, 2018, I have heard NOTHING from this business! Not even an apology, or a follow up call to discuss what happened during my very first (and last) visit there. What an unprofessional and poorly ran place. Do NOT take your pets here if you value your time, pet's safety, and health.

I feel confident that my pet will get the best care and I love that they have doggie daycare and the animals are free to roam the perimeters. As a volunteer with a greyhound rescue & adoption group, the difference I have seen in a 9-yr. old female with an old, chronic orthopedic injury is just short of miraculous. After two treatments each of acupuncture & chiropractic, I saw this girl run & jump after being with us for 6 months with no running or jumping whatsoever! Her joy & zest for life has returned because of the phenomenal care she has received at this professional vet clinic. Thank you doctors & staff! Tears of joy!!

We visited this clinic to see about adopting a kitten we saw online. Hannah helped us and she was so kind and helpful. All of our questions were answered. We had plenty of time to meet all of the kittens so we could determine which one we wanted to have join our family. The room the kitties were in was immaculate. There was even a volunteer there playing with the kitties. Very impressed by what they do to find homes for those in need.

Words cannot describe how wonderful this vet office is. Dr. Farber goes above and beyond to take care of our babies. We have been so disappointed with other veterinarians. It is very obvious that these Dr.s are doing it for the right reasons and they genuinely want to take care of the animals and their families. The front desk staff are so warm and welcoming and they make sure you are aware of all the options you have. We used to take out pets to Petworks in Overland Park, but it was clear they were not in it for the right reasons. State Line is the only place to take your animals if you want them taken care of the right way and with love. Thank you State Line Animal Hospital for always making us feel like we are part of your family and that our babies are your babies too!

Cindy and Betsy are always friendly and helpful with everything from scheduling appts to checking out. Love the holistic opportunities. Mary the groomer does a fantastic job on cats and dogs. State Line is absolutely fabulous! We have a new puppy who receives excellent care and we are always educated thoroughly on how to properly care for our 4 month old Cavatese "Cookie." All Dr.'s are warm and compassionate. Staff is friendly and Receptionist Hannah took extra time on a busy Tuesday to assist me. We were "patients" of Dr. Otte's for over ten years. He is honest, gentle, kind, loving, and a wonderful Doctor. We moved to KC recently, and have searched for a while for a good vet. I haven't had the best experience with some vets before so I was very picky with who I decided to take our new puppy to. I am so glad we chose State Line Animal Hospital. They have treated our puppy better than I could ever have asked for. Everyone from the front desk, vet techs, and vets (we see/love Dr. Abby Faerber) are all wonderful people who truly treat your animal like their own. We also boarded our puppy here for a week, and she loved it! I love that they are honest and don't see your animal as another dollar sign, they truly just want the best for them. For anyone who wants a vet who goes above and beyond, State Line is for you!

State Line Animal Hospital is a great facility, with caring doctors and staff. We've happily taken our pets here for nearly 10 years. Today we took our two cats to their new feline-only center, across the street from their main office, for their wellness checks. This new addition was quiet and peaceful, and our cats have never been calmer at any veterinary clinic. We LOVE the new cat-only option, and we highly recommend State Line Animal Hospital for all your pet healthcare needs.

I would never consider taking my pets anywhere else. We have taken our cats to Dr. Jones and Dr. Otte for years. They have gone to great lengths to save more than one of our cats. I have seen so many abandoned, injured or neglected animals welcomed and nursed back to health by their amazing staff. And we are fortunate to have adopted one of their rescue puppies, Sam. While his survival story is incredible, it's not uncommon here. You know you have found a great vet when your animals actually like going there!

I have only written a few reviews but I love this place! On organization and how clean it is I would Rate it a 3 because it's not the best in the state but they would much rather save little puppies lives with their money than make it spotless! But I guess thats a Good thing. On surgeries and doctors and boarding I would rate 4 and a half, They have great volunteers (including myself) that help walk, groom, and feed them and having them removing a groth on my dogs leg it was awsome we took him in Monday and went home tuesday perfect! Their doctor Otte is the main doctor and a great one at that, they have many pets also for great prices that would love to be adopted! So go there I really recomend it they are not lazy and there prices are great!

It is very obvious that these Dr.s are doing it for the right reasons and they genuinely want to take care of the animals and their families. The front desk staff are so warm and welcoming and they make sure you are aware of all the options you have. We used to take out pets to Petworks in Overland Park, but it was clear they were not in it for the right reasons. State Line is the only place to take your animals if you want them taken care of the right way and with love. Thank you State Line Animal Hospital for always making us feel like we are part of your family and that our babies are your babies too!

I have been very happy with all the Drs at State Line. They are very knowledgeable, caring and take time with my fur babies. Cindy and Betsy are always friendly and helpful with everything from scheduling appts to checking out. Love the holistic opportunities. Mary the groomer does a fantastic job on cats and dogs. The last couple of years the practice has really flourished!

State Line is absolutely fabulous! We have a new puppy who receives excellent care and we are always educated thoroughly on how to properly care for our 4 month old Cavatese "Cookie." All Dr.'s are warm and compassionate. Staff is friendly and Receptionist Hannah took extra time on a busy Tuesday to assist me. She provided service with a smile in her voice and an excellent attitude. I highly recommend State Line!

We were "patients" of Dr. Otte's for over ten years. He is honest, gentle, kind, loving, and a wonderful Doctor. He helped us with our golden retriever Casey from the time she was a puppy, until her very last day. Everyone at this office truly cares for all animals, just the right touch of gentleness, but with lots of knowledge and experience to take care of your beloved pets. Highly recommended!

We moved to KC recently, and have searched for a while for a good vet. I haven't had the best experience with some vets before so I was very picky with who I decided to take our new puppy to. I am so glad we chose State Line Animal Hospital. They have treated our puppy better than I could ever have asked for. Everyone from the front desk, vet techs, and vets (we see/love Dr. Abby Faerber) are all wonderful people who truly treat your animal like their own. We also boarded our puppy here for a week, and she loved it! I love that they are honest and don't see your animal as another dollar sign, they truly just want the best for them. For anyone who wants a vet who goes above and beyond, State Line is for you!

State Line Animal Hospital is a great facility, with caring doctors and staff. We've happily taken our pets here for nearly 10 years. Today we took our two cats to their new feline-only center, across the street from their main office, for their wellness checks. This new addition was quiet and peaceful, and our cats have never been calmer at any veterinary clinic. We LOVE the new cat-only option, and we highly recommend State Line Animal Hospital for all your pet healthcare needs.

I would never consider taking my pets anywhere else. We have taken our cats to Dr. Jones and Dr. Otte for years. They have gone to great lengths to save more than one of our cats. I have seen so many abandoned, injured or neglected animals welcomed and nursed back to health by their amazing staff. And we are fortunate to have adopted one of their rescue puppies, Sam. While his survival story is incredible, it's not uncommon here. You know you have found a great vet when your animals actually like going there!

I have only written a few reviews but I love this place! On organization and how clean it is I would Rate it a 3 because it's not the best in the state but they would much rather save little puppies lives with their money than make it spotless! But I guess thats a Good thing. On surgeries and doctors and boarding I would rate 4 and a half, They have great volunteers (including myself) that help walk, groom, and feed them and having them removing a groth on my dogs leg it was awsome we took him in Monday and went home tuesday perfect! Their doctor Otte is the main doctor and a great one at that, they have many pets also for great prices that would love to be adopted! So go there I really recomend it they are not lazy and there prices are great!
