I've taken two different dogs here for the past 10+ years and haven't ever had an issue. Great customer service, knowledgeable, really good with my dogs. I moved away and started taking my dog to a different vet but didn't feel like that vet was as specialized in small animal so I'm coming back here from now on. When I needed a groom for my Yorkie, the tech groomed him and did a good enough job for me since I wasn't after a show quality groom. Took my 10 week old Bulldog names Gus Gus that I received from my husband for Christmas. Never been to this veterinarian before, but I will say we definitely have a new veterinarian for sure. THEY KILLED MY DOG. They gave him SEVEN vaccinations knowing that my chihuahua had heart disease. The vaccinations were not supposed to be given all at once, and yet they gave an 11-year-old chihuahua with heart disease seven vaccinations. My baby boy died 34 hours after going to the vet. I paid nearly $700 to get him taken care of and only got refunded $100 of it. Steve Byers, the doctor of Companion Animal Hospital, does not care about his animals. His son Kayd Byers, who is going to school at Kansas State University for veterinary school, is the man that gave my dog the vaccinations. I even asked Kayd Byers if these shots were going to hurt my dog because of his age and his condition and he told me that my dog would be just fine. They lied to me, they killed my dog, and when confronting Steve Byers about what happened in his Veterinary Clinic, he didn’t seem to care at all. He had a nasty attitude with us (my aunt and I) and instead of being professional, he was saying how “we were wrong” even though the proof was right there in front of him. Not sure how this place get rated with many stars, but been there twice and after meeting the groomer, we decided we were done, horrible customer service all they wanted is $$$. I cannot say enough about Companion Animal Hospital. We have had our chocolate lab Carly going there since she was 8 weeks old. In her first month with us she sprained and broke her leg. They took such amazing care of her through all of that and make sure she is always up to date on her shots and are always suggesting ways to enhance her life with preventive care which I truly appreciate. She also sees Estella two days a week since she was very small for obedience training and we have seen a real difference in her and are so pleased with the progress. On the days she is not in "puppy preschool" we have her in their doggy day care and every day Carly is just running to the door to see her friends and enjoy the day with the girls that care for her. Great small town vet clinic that cares about your pets. Dr's are always available to answer questions and address your concerns. Out dog was hit by a car and paralyzed. They've done a great job so far helping us through his recovery and they usually help with small consultations and some minor things without even charging us. WORST VET CLINCI EVER!!!!! These people shouldn't even be in business. Star ratings are for those that deserve a rating. This clinic is onlly after money, they aren' t concerned about your pets. They did procedures without any discussion/explanation of charges. I requested 3 different times to have x-rays sent to me. Each of these times I was lied to about getting something sent. It has been 48 hours and nothing has been sent as of yet. When I confronted them, I was upset, I was asked to leave the premises, threatened with police being called and was called vulger name by the staff. Even after procedures were performed it is questionable if their diagnosis of my dog was correct or if the x-rays even exist. Read Less

We took our kittens in there to get checked for the diarrhea. They gave us medicine and charged us $260! The cats never did get better so we called back. I described what was going on and told them what I thought it was and they said the could try to treat them for that. They said they were going to order special medicine and it would be coming from New Jersey and could take 5 days. We waited for them to call and tell us that it was in. Finally they called yesterday and asked how the cats were doing on their medicine. What medicine?! They never called the say it was in! I stopped in there this morning and talked to Nicole and she looked into it. No one even knows if they even ordered the medicine or what happened to it. Meanwhile, the has been a week and my cats are still sick and they didn't seem to care. Companion animal hospital needs to get better organized and have friendlier and caring staff representing them!
