We love Blue Valley Animal Hospital! We have a fireball of a Maine Coon mix and they were so good with him. He got sick over Thanksgiving weekend and they made room for us right quick to treat him. They called us with updates since he had to stay at the hospital. We are truly grateful for their help. Wilson is just fine and back to his ornery self. Ultimately I understand the read my rabbit died wasn't of their doing. If more places wer open for emergency wit exotic pets this wouldn't hav happened but I will never use them again. I have more exotic pets and they will be going somewhere else. Yesterday I left an emotional vm no call back. I called seeing bout meds I paid for and they wouldn't take back which I understand but seeing as my pet died within an hour of leaving their office I think they coulda given some money back. Here my bunny has a respitory issue and they said wen they fed her the liquid mix the vet says don't give too much because she starts spitting out. No u go slowly cuz of high risk of aspiration pneumonia! I'm a nurse and that raised a red flag! I kno her illness got her but that was contributing factor thinking back. She probably inhaled some case they fed her too fast. Also when I called no one said sorry for my loss only sorry we can't take the meds back! Never ever. Dr. Spain saved my cats life! He was attacked by a dog and left barely clinging to life. Gandalf spent a week at BVAH and he is home now and doing better everyday. I made the mistake of going to Blue Pearl for emergency care and then transferred to BVAH after being robbed blind by the scammers over there! You will not find a more caring group of doctors and staff, particularly Dr Spain who caringly and lovingly helped our family through the treatment of our beloved Max, including coming to our home when it was time to put him down. The staff at Blue Valley Animal Hospital is fabulous. I recently took both my dogs in because they weren't feeling well and they were so attentive to them. They gave me recommendations to help them feel better rather than running a bunch of tests. Both of my dogs have also been for doggie day care as well as boarding and loved it. I was a brand new dog owner when I first adopted my dog. She had drainage coming from her eye that had gone untreated by the shelter. I had emailed a couple of clinics for an appointment that evening not expecting to get an appointment until the next week . Thankfully, I was able to get an appointment with Blue Valley Animal Hospital the very next morning. Little did I know, my newly adopted pup had a number of issues, and it required frequent trips (some spontaneous) to BVAH in just that week. Very stressful! However the Blue Valley staff was very accommodating, and Dr. Spain was awesome in explaining treatment and procedures, and calming any nerves as a first time owner. Dr. Gardner is great as well, and both Vets make sure to answer any and all questions during all of my visits. Almost a year later, and I really couldn't imagine going anywhere else for my dog's treatment. She's now healthy and happy, and I greatly appreciate all of the Blue Valley Staff for their efficiency. Monday evening I noticed my dog Sebastian was not using his hind left leg and if he did he was unable to bear any weight on it. The next morning I showed up at Blue Valley Animal Hospital at 7 AM without an appointment. They were able to see Sebastian within minutes, doing xrays and a thorough exam to find out he had a muscle sprain. He was home and resting within the hour. Dr. Brad and her dog sister Maisy saved our 15 year old dog Josie's life. Dr. Brad diagnosed Josie with an ulcer and she had lost lots of blood because of bad information I got from another vet office. He preformed a transfusion using 1year old Maisies blood and Josie is good as new. Well as good as a 15 year old mixed breed can be. The staff is great.
