They have been awesome! BJ the groomer not only does a good job but she really cares about your pet. The doctors have been wonderful. Our dog Nick has been struggling for about 16 months and they were so good about sharing all of the options every time, treating him with care and respect. This clinic has very professional and compassionate staff. I recently lost my apartment in a fire, and my dog was trapped inside. Firefighters got him out safely, but I took him to this clinic to make sure he was ok. I had never been to this clinic beforehand. The people didn't know me, and at the time, I didn't have ID, or even access to a credit card, but they kindly agreed to observe my dog and make sure he was ok while I tried to get myself situated. They even managed to clean the smoke smell out of his coat, and I know it took multiple baths. If you're looking for kind people that will take good care of your pets, then look no further. We have come to a point with our golden retriever, Dakota, where I'm tired of giving her shots and benedryl and pretending that they work. We switched vets and have taken her to Overland Park Veterinary Center twice this week and will be back on Monday to go over blood work. I was astonished at how relaxed she was at this place. It's a VET! She was laying down and wagging her tail. They were so amazing - getting to know her and play with her before getting started with anything. I thought maybe...it's bc nothing bad has happened there yet, but today went the same way. She was excited to see her new friends. I was just shocked. And the fact that they don't want to just randomly stuff medication down her and hope it works, but that they really want to figure out the issue has me so hopeful for our poor dog. Read Less

My Girl's records was transferred to them after my previous vet retired. Unfortunately on my first visit, it was found my girl was terminal. We moved here from Indiana and absolutely devastated we had to leave our vet behind. We tried another vet before coming here and they were horrible! It didn't feel right. I decided to give this amazing place a try and from the second we stepped foot in OPVC I knew this was our new vet! Yona loves going to visit Dr. Tawny each month! She paws at the door to the exam area until someone lets her in. She is always excited to step on the scale and proceed to the exam room where she paces while she waits for Dr. Tawny to say she can get on the table. It took three men, but a couple minutes later my fur baby had his nails clipped! I'm amazed to find a place that didn't turn me and my weimaraner away because of his strength.. Dr. Freeman and his team of vets and office staff have been taking good care of our cats and dogs for many years! If we have an emergency, we can get in quickly and between two cats and a dog we have our share of emergencies! When we lost our beloved dog and cat over the years, Dr. Freeman made a monetary donation to the K-state vet school in their memory. I recently moved to OP with an older, blind dog. I had planned to keep going to my vet in Eudora for routine things like shots and meds, but when my dog got sick one weekend I knew it would be better to have a doctor close by. Yelp reviews steered me to OP Vet Clinic, and I couldn't be happier with the doctors and staff there. They worked us in late on a Monday afternoon, and when Sophie had worsened two days later we again went in for a late, unscheduled appointment that kept Dr. Tawny and several staff members there past closing time. I brought Sophie back the next day -- she was in critical condition by that time. The story does not end happily but the care and competence of Dr. McKee and the staff helped ease the pain of our loss. Not only was Dr. McKee good with our beloved pet, he also dealt kindly with two distraught humans -- my husband and me. All this despite the fact that the clinic was crazy busy that day. The cost for the intensive medical care, including X-rays and lab work, was about what I expected to pay (I am a frequent consumer of veterinary care) -- not cheap but not exorbitant. I will be happy to take my other dog there in the near future.Besides the excellent medical care I appreciate how the staff cared for Sophie by clipping her nails and cleaning the crusty eye matter off her face. Dr Cindrich and staff have been caring for my dogs for 5 years.  I don't think I have ever known a veterinarian as knowledgeable as Dr. Cindrich, or a staff as nice and caring as at Roeland Park Veterinary Center.  Their fees for services and medication are reasonable.They are always accessible for answering questions, and my dogs are comfortable boarding there.  My two dogs and I are very fortunate to have such a wonderful vet clinic in my neighborhood. We have used Overland Park and Roeland Park Veterinary Centers for over 10 years.The Cat Calls (house calls for cats) is especially great and Dr. Freeman is about as nice as you can get.Dr. Cindrich at the Roeland Park office is fantastic as well. Read Less
