We started coming to Prairie Village Animal Hospital after bringing a Land of Paws pup into our family. After Kessler's second set of puppy shots, we noticed she wasn't noticing tennis balls or any of her toys that moved...and asked about it on our next visit. Dr. Gates was WONDERFUL, scheduling Kessler for a next-day appointment to get her eyes dilated to take a closer look. When he said he couldn't determine the problem (but knew there was one), he covered all the charges to send us to Dr. Hunkeler (a canine eye specialist in Lee's Summit). It then took us four hours to get home...but I was eternally grateful for their kindness.Prairie Village Animal Hospital certainly was not the closest veterinarian to downtown, but I kept going there because of the wonderful care they gave to both me and my pets. Since then, I have moved to New York City for work, but my dogs travel halfway across the country with me to continue seeing Dr. Gates for their annual checkups. I couldn't imagine taking them anywhere else. Read Less
