Just got off the phone with one of the male vets. He was super rude, very unfriendly, I just asked what the office fee was for an exam for my old dog who needs a checkup, and I was responded with well 25 but that's not the grand total what if he needs medications? Well obviously I know that I'll pay more on top of the office fee, I just wanted to know the basis fee. I wouldn't of had mind paying 500 dollars for my dog IF there was anything wrong with him. I have taken all my animals to this place all my life. They are by far the most affordable vet in town, and they are very direct, No BS. I appreciate that. Extremely affordable. Every time we've had a sick pet, the bill ends up being far less than we expect. But you have to understand, the staff work very hard here to take care of everyone's needs. It's a very busy place. Expect to wait a while when arriving, and expect straight and to the point discussion when it's your turn. They're still kind and professional. You definitely get more than you pay for here, but if you have very high standards for your pet, you should probably find a higher end animal clinic that'll take a chunk out of your bank account, but who will roll out the red carpet for your and your pet. Dr. Post and Dr. Banks are both very professional and love animals. The prices are reasonable, thus making it a busy place. Sometimes I have to wait, but they are always more than willing to get me on the schedule. I have recommended them to several people. My dog is not scared when we go there, and she is scared of most things. I think they do a really great job! Read Less

If I could rate a 0 for first impressions it would be a big 0. I was just on the phone with Aid Animal Hospital and I would not recommend them to anyone. I was greeted rudely on the phone by a woman and asked to hold for a moment. After 10 minutes of listening to her carry on with a personal conversation I hung up and called back. When I did, a man answered and I explained to him what had happened and then politely said that I would not be scheduling an appointment because of the way I was treated. He then replied with "good, I'm glad you're not. We don't want to deal with you." then said he was sorry for my interaction earlier but they didn't want to deal with an offended person. Very rude staff there. To those of you who have great experiences with them, I wish I was as lucky as you, but I refused to be treated that way. I went to Aid Animal today, Jan 2nd. They were closed for the New Year holiday. As I was turning around in the parking lot to leave, Dr. Post drove in. He saw my second oldest furbaby and administered the needed antibiotic for a respiratory infection. THANK YOU Dr. Post - you are wonderful! We took our dog to Aid Animal Hospital as a new patient. We found the place lacked cleanliness and professionalism. Our appointment was scheduled at 5:15pm. No one even acknowledged us with a welcome until we'd been there about 10 minutes. Our dog did not get seen until after 5:30pm. On the phone we were told the exam would be $25. When we checked out the price was $65 because our dog had to be treated for an infection. The man who treated our dog did not seem knowledgeable in the computer system, (no one gave their names as introduction) as he struggled for several minutes to create our invoice. I have never been to a clinic where I could not be billed for the remainder to be paid later. We were made to feel unimportant, and most of all our dog was not put first. We could not afford the full $65 dollars at that time, therefore we were asked to return our dog's medicine as well as the free flea treatment we'd been given. It was embarrassing, (I was in tears when we left), and we felt the best interest of our dog was not considered by this hospital. Sending her away without her medicine when she had a fever and infection was not at all kind. Although, we realize it is a business, we expected a business that put the health of their patients before financial gain. We are not impressed and will not be returning to Aid Animal Hospital. I'm so glad you ignored me because some days when people show up with out an appointment and the another 45 min early and another just shows up and another is 45 min.late and then people are picking up meds they called in ahead of time and I'm trying to answer the phone and work in another another thing to do....by golly call me inhumane...but yes I do get a bit perturbed. .I try.But you just can't do enough or those peeps that just show up and don't care enough to make an appointment. ..sorry.My apologies. .. We have been using Dr. Post for years, (since the late 70's) and have NEVER had an issue. We even moved to Missouri and took our dog to a vet there, she was unsure of the problem so she called Dr. Post and told him the lab results and her thoughts and he confirmed LONG DISTANCE over the phone what was wrong with our dog and she was able to help our dog. Moved back to Topeka and he has been our vet since! Love him and most of his staff, (Bob can be rude at times but I just ignore him. He can also be as compassionate as anyone in the office when he wants to be). I would recommend Dr. Post to EVERYONE! Read Less
