I took my 3 cats in for shots, and then about a week or so later to be declawed using the laser method. For the first appointment, the cats were not scared at all. They sensed the people caring for them were not to be feared. During their exam, I think they thought they were getting a massage. All of the staff clearly cares about the animals, it's not just a job. I was informed about any charges, very detailed, BEFORE the work was done. They gave me options. No surprises. No extras pushed on me. For the surgery, my cats have never been away over night so I think I was more sad than they were. I was happy that they kept the cats 2 nights to monitor their recovery, even though they were missed at home. I was able to visit them every night which was very comforting to me and them. The laser method was definitely less intrusive and they were not limping or acting like they were in pain. No bloody feet. When they got home, they were not mad at me, but 15 minutes in, they were back to normal and feeling at home as if nothing happened. They did not punish me either and were just as lovable as they were before. This writing applies to all staff from the reception desk to the doctors and everyone else. I give 5 stars because their was not one thing that gave me concern due to their informative consults, their understanding that the cats were family and allowed me to visit, and not only made my cats feel comfortable, but also made me feel comfortable. Also the fact that they offered optional services, but did not push them, or make me feel guilty since I could not really afford the extras at this time. So for everyone that really love your pets and consider them part of your family, take them to Stone House Animal Hospital.Read Less
