I took my blank lab here for the first time. My dog had been seeing another vet who wasn’t treating my dog well. Dr Hahn and his crew were great. My dog had been sick for a while and was losing weight. Dr Hahn took the time to listen to my concerns. He prescribed meds and put him on puppy food.The change is amazing. In just a week my fur baby is happy and gaining weight. These guys are great!!!

We visited for the first time this week. Dr. Kamer is amazing! My dog has a CCL rupture. He took the time to get to know her and give her a through exam, and he managed to get an x-ray while she was awake (not an easy feat with a big strong dog). Afterwards, he spent over an hour with us explaining the injury and our treatment options. She is scheduled for surgery, and I feel so grateful knowing that he will be the one taking care of her.

Even though my 1.5yr old Cane Corso is known to be more a lover than a fighter, very friendly and loves meeting new people he was still got judged by the staffs, including the doctor himself(who was in a rush to clock out for the day, since i was the last appointment of the day to.) Keep in mind I had to schedule an oppointment to have my dog check after a accident dog fight at the park. So i get it, my dog looks similar to a pitbull I also got that vibe in the building and he was treated as one!?! Those who knows about Italian mastiff they are smart and very family friendly dogs. Rare breed. I give them a one star for taking my dog in. The front desk put down the wrong breed for my dog's information in their computer and with the papers i walked out with after spending $80+. They also didn't get his name down correctly. And lastly but not least and most importantly I made an appointment to have my dog check if he needed stetches after another dog at the park had attacked him when i was playing fetch with him. Once the doctor came out they didnt even bother to check his cheeks where he got bit and if it needed stetches!?! Before i realized the doctor had already left the building I asked the two assistants at the front desk when will they check on my boy's bite wounds on on his face. They told me the doctor had already left and i could schedule another appointment. I was mind blown and sadly upset. So i spent nearly $100 for a check up and a rabbie shot.
Luckily my boy taugh it out and i ended up putting Neosporin on his open scab and it healed. Just a tiny scare on his face that u can barely see now.

I have boarded them many times with our vet and never had these issues--I only went here because my vet was full.
Do yourself a favor and don't go here!

I liked this facility. I thought the vet was very professional and kind. The staff was understanding that my pit bull has anxiety so our visit was a good one. My dog had a small mass removed and the surgery was fast and his healing time was great. All in all, very knowledgeable people and they seem to really care.

Sheltie Shack Rescue of Kansas visits VMSH from out of town for our SPECIAL NEEDS rescue and personal pets. Most recently (8-9-16) I brought in rescue sheltie (Rosie) for a second opinion on the removal of a couple larger fatty tumors. During examination, Dr. Kamer found a more serious issue that was addressed immediately by taking Rosie into surgery. I can't imagine anyone other than Dr. Kamer doing this tedious surgical procedure. THANK YOU.

My youngest doberman got attacked by another dog, breaking her jaw in several places. They kept her that night and had her in surgery the next morning. He did a phenomal job and can't even tell it was ever broke. Definitely will be seeing him in the future for "normal" visits as well. Whole staff was very kind and have my baby girl all the attention she needed while in their care.

Always great care for the fur kids. I'm always amazed how the staff remembers the names of my dogs, the colors of their collars and leashes, and hire hard they work to make everyone relaxed and comfortable. The dogs have stayed here for a week at a time while we were on vacation and we never have to worry about them. Great place.

The Doctor's, Assistants and Receptionist are amazing. With the loss of my husband they have taken care of Magnum his retired K-9 as serving on the Topeka Police Department. They have provided all of his medical tests, medicine, treatment, grooming and bathing for nothing in return. When he comes there they are excited to see him and give him lots of love. Amazing enough he is excited to go there also, that says a lot in itself. Me and our boys, Tyler and Lawson could not thank them enough.

I love Dr. Kramer and Dr. Magee and everyone who works at VMSH. They are friendly and they know what they are doing! They have taken great care of my Bostons for the past two years. I take them in for regular dog check ups and have had to take them in for illnesses as well. One of my dogs got lose and then loose. She was not chipped, but the person who found her called around. When she called VMSH they took the time to call of of the families who owned Boston Terriers. When they found out it was out, they had the woman bring her to them and then kept her until I got off of work. Thankfully, we got out baby back! I board our Bostons on a regular bases and they love going. Stacy takes great care of them and truly loves them. I highly recommend VMSH!

Dr. Magee is one of the finest veterinarians I have ever had the pleasure to interact with - and she gives my fur-kids the BEST care she possibly can. She knows a great deal, but if she wants a second opinion, she has no problem (ego-wise - some vets seem to have problems admitting they don't know everything) consulting with K-State Veterinary Hospital or another vet. She is compassionate, kind and competent. You pay a bit more here, but you get what you pay for. She and the rest of the staff there (Stacy, Melissa, Mindy, Rhiannon - and of course, Dr. Kamer) all are phenomenal! God bless this group!!

Sheltie Shack Rescue of Kansas visits VMSH from out of town for our SPECIAL NEEDS rescue and personal pets. Most recently (8-9-16) I brought in rescue sheltie (Rosie) for a second opinion on the removal of a couple larger fatty tumors. During examination, Dr. Kamer found a more serious issue that was addressed immediately by taking Rosie into surgery. I can't imagine anyone other than Dr. Kamer doing this tedious surgical procedure. THANK YOU.

We have been going thru a very difficult time with our boxer puppy and the staff has been wonderful to us. We love Dr. Hahn he is awesome and Lindsey has been so caring and loving towards Chato, I couldn't imagine taking him elsewhere..... we still have a ways to go but I do believe we could not be in better hands. My youngest doberman got attacked by another dog, breaking her jaw in several places. They kept her that night and had her in surgery the next morning. He did a phenomal job and can't even tell it was ever broke. Definitely will be seeing him in the future for "normal" visits as well. Whole staff was very kind and have my baby girl all the attention she needed while in their care.

Always great care for the fur kids. I'm always amazed how the staff remembers the names of my dogs, the colors of their collars and leashes, and hire hard they work to make everyone relaxed and comfo...
Always great care for the fur kids. I'm always amazed how the staff remembers the names of my dogs, the colors of their collars and leashes, and hire hard they work to make everyone relaxed and comfortable. The dogs have stayed here for a week at a time while we were on vacation and we never have to worry about them. Great place.

The Doctor's, Assistants and Receptionist are amazing. With the loss of my husband they have taken care of Magnum his retired K-9 as serving on the Topeka Police Department. They have provided all of his medical tests, medicine, treatment, grooming and bathing for nothing in return. When he comes there they are excited to see him and give him lots of love. Amazing enough he is excited to go there also, that says a lot in itself. Me and our boys, Tyler and Lawson could not thank them enough.

I love Dr. Kramer and Dr. Magee and everyone who works at VMSH. They are friendly and they know what they are doing! They have taken great care of my Bostons for the past two years. I take them in for regular dog check ups and have had to take them in for illnesses as well. One of my dogs got lose and then loose. She was not chipped, but the person who found her called around. When she called VMSH they took the time to call of of the families who owned Boston Terriers. When they found out it was out, they had the woman bring her to them and then kept her until I got off of work. Thankfully, we got out baby back! I board our Bostons on a regular bases and they love going. Stacy takes great care of them and truly loves them. I highly recommend VMSH!

Dr. Magee is one of the finest veterinarians I have ever had the pleasure to interact with - and she gives my fur-kids the BEST care she possibly can. She knows a great deal, but if she wants a second opinion, she has no problem (ego-wise - some vets seem to have problems admitting they don't know everything) consulting with K-State Veterinary Hospital or another vet. She is compassionate, kind and competent. You pay a bit more here, but you get what you pay for. She and the rest of the staff there (Stacy, Melissa, Mindy, Rhiannon - and of course, Dr. Kamer) all are phenomenal! God bless this group!!
