Dr. Elder and staff are the BEST! He is knowledgeable and current with best care (we learn something new every time we go in). We started 6 years ago bringing our aging lab, 2 goldens and kitty to the clinic. He provided solid preventative care for our beloved boys and when it was time to say good-bye, treated us and our dogs with compassion that will not be forgotten. Even though we have moved from Valley 2 years ago, we drive the 30min so our cat can continue to receive the same level of care. Dr. Sam always makes us feel like family. The staff at Valley Center Vet Clinic made a great first impression. When I called to schedule vaccinations for my two large dogs, they were accommodating and professional. Thank you Dr. Sam, Dr. Cindy Lacey and staff for all the love and caring for our precious Puddles "The Puds". I don't think we would have been able to have him as long as we did without the surgeries that Dr. Sam did. He called and checked on him afterwards and I could tell how much he cared. The staff is wonderful. Dr Cindy was beyond knowledgable and compassionate. The vet tech who was with Maxx was not expecting me to come to the back to see him one last time and I startled her. On Feb. 19, 2016 I took my cat in to get spaded. I was then told i would get a call at 4:30 pm to come get her, but was not contacted till 5:57 (3 minutes before they close) knowing I wouldn't make it. They said that she was doing great wrapped up in a blanket and I would need to come before noon on Saturday, Feb. 20th. When I got there and was given my bill, that was way high compared to what they said it would be i got upset and she became very rude. I was charged extra for my cat being "aggressive", as she showed my one scratch on her hand and mentioned that she was the worst she has ever delt with. That is their job. After they had told me she was doing great lastnight. And to mention, my cat is very sweet, the best, sweetest cat i have ever owned, even when we play with her she doesn't get agressive. I can see her being scared but does any animal like the vet? THEN, I was charged extra for me not telling her that she was in heat. Which is a lie. I called a few clinics before i chose to go there(which was the worst idea ever) but when i talked to each clinic, and this manager being the one I talked to at this clinic, I told each person that I had talked to, that I was wanting to get my cat spaded, that I had went to the humane society and asked them about how old my cat was and why she would be putting her bottom in the air and then try to rub on it things. They told me, as I had already thought, she was in heat. I told every clinic that I was wanting to get her spaded because she was going through hear. And FINALLY, they brought her out in a carboard box completely tapped up because she was so "agressive". Now that is wrong. Putting her in a cardboard box and tapping it up is of course not going to make my lil miss Maggie not happy at all, so of course she would start to get aggressive. And not to mention that is animal cruelty. I sincerly suggest you do not take your animals here!!!Read Less

We have been to other clinics in the past. This is by far the BEST vet clinic we have been to. This clinic loves my dog and really cares! Dr. Elder is so helpful and patient with all my questions and concerns.
