0 Stars. The ladies at the front were kind with me and friendly with my cat but the vet was extremely rough and outrageously rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. He should shut down his business and go buy some self help books. Read Less

I would NOT recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone. I took my puppy into get his booster shots and get a check up and as soon as the vet saw my dog he barely examined him and diagnosed him with an ear infection. When I tried to ask questions the vet was very short and stated it would be $400 up front to correct the issue and rushed me out the door because he had another dog coming in (He had only met with for five minutes), leaving me with no information and another appointment. As soon as I left, I called around and was able to get my dog into another clinic who was very helpful and only charged me $50 and that was including my puppy’s medicine. After, I cancelled my appointment with them and will never return. They are dishonest and will charge outlandish prices for they’re own personal sake and not for the sake of your pet. Read Less

Vet was very rude. Treated both my cat and me poorly. He likes to treat you like you're an idiot. Acted very annoyed with me when he came in and my terrified cat was still in her carrier and proceeded to rip her out of there. There's a difference between pulling a cat out and yanking one out and he was definitely rough. I had seen them quite recently but they refused to give me a prescription for purchasing pet medication online and said that I needed to come in again or purchase the meds from them. We can tell a lot about the nature and integrity of a company when you are behind the scenes from their databases and operations. This company is solid and provides high quality services. They make sure they are current in terms of all technology to provide the best support and care for their customers pets. There have been some misunderstandings and some miscommunication on the web over the past few years, but they would care about your pet and provide high quality necessary and loving services. I have been coming here for a few years now, and I love it here. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the doctor saved my youngest dog's life 3 years ago. She became gravely ill on a Sunday, and brought her in immediately the next day and Dr. Dotson and his staff got her the help she needed right away with testing, fluids, and the works. Recovery took some time, but she is here with us today because of the care she received. She is happy and healthy and loves coming to visit the Animal Clinic! Read Less

SUPER MONEY HUNGRY! Although, my baby was super sick and thankfully the vet saved him I did not for one second feel comfortable or safe leaving him for the tests that were done on him! We were asked to bring him back for a follow up (which, gave me ease because I wanted to make sure he was 100% okay and clear). The follow up was not even 3 minutes long he basically just looked at him and told us we could leave. Not only that but he was extremely impatient and kept rushing us to get him on the scale making my baby more scared! If I'm asked to come back for a follow up I'd like to know that you're not just gonna stare at my baby and with one glance tell me he's clear. The staff has never given me a problem and has been nice to my baby but from that day my baby got sick and when I call for questions they are very snarky and I feel judged. I would have bought the product that I was talked to about but because of how uncomfortable they made me feel and the way I was rushed I didn't. Horrible doc. Great nurse Ladies but doc is horrible. Makes me and my dog feel uncomfortable. Overcharges AND does NOT fix the problem. Made our poor puppy even worse. Never again coming here. Hope they run out of business soon. Read Less

My cat had a wound from a bite and it looked real bad. I called 8 veterinarian clinics that were closer to home and each one said it would either be at the end of today or next week. When Animal Clinic picked up the phone there was no hesitation, "How soon can you get your cat here". Thank you team at Animal Clinic. Read Less

I live in Kansas City but value this vets opinion over any others! He takes the time to look at the pictures that I send from KC to see if my dog needs treatment or not. Seriously one of the most caring vets I have experienced. Read Less

Money hungry! They are out for money not for what the animal needs. Not only that he tried to fill my animal with medicine without even testing. He talks down to you like your a complete idiot and gets mad if you dont want something done to your animal. My animal is terrified of them, took him to another vet he has no problems.. Read Less

I have been going to this Clinic for my dogs and my cats for several years. He is always very professional and caring. He immediately takes care of my pets. This is the cleanest vet clinic I have ever been to and the staff the front desk are always very kind and professional. They really care about the well being of your pet. On April 8th, 2009 my two dogs had chewed up a small bottle of contact solution. Upon finding it, worried that my dogs had poisioned themseleve I called the Animal Clinic which is just right down the street from my house and I didnt want to drive them across town to my normal vet because one of my dogs gets car sick. Upon calling the animal clinic the woman who answered the phone asked me what had been chewed and placed me on hold to ask the vet if they needed to come in. She came back on the phone and told me to bring my two small Chihuahuas in right away. When I got to the vet they ran a bunch of test including a CBC with profile, and a fecal exam. When the test came back Dr. Dotson told me that the eye drops did affect them at all but told me that my male dog had a kidney problem and he wrote him a prescription for some medication that cost 72 dollars telling me that I would have to buy this medicine from him monthly and give a pill to my dog every day for the rest of his life and feed him a special expensive food for the rest of his life. My bill came up to 429.08 after all the test and the medication and the food. I paid the bill and took my dogs home. I called my oringal vet and set up an appointment to get a second opinion. I took my male dog to my normal vet who informed me that the contact solution contains a simple saline solution that the vets actually give to pets during surgery through an IV to maintain their fuilds. He also did a CBC with profile and compared them to blood work from having him fixed and told me that my dog's kidneys were perfectly healthly and that the elevated level that Dr. Dotson has said was early signs of kidney failure was probably caused from the stress of the vet visit and could have been from him eating a little too much that day. After getting this second opinion I went back to the Animal Clinic to speak with Dr. Dotson. I waited in the waiting area for 15 minutes for Dr. Dotson to come out and he never did. I had to leave to get to a class and funny enough AS SOON as I pulled out of his office's parking lot Dr. Dotson called me saying that I left too early and that he had really wanted to talk to me. I told about my second opinion and that he ripped me off and he started cussing at me saying that my otehr vet was trying to belittle him! My normal vet had never even heard of Dr. Dotson and would have absolutly no reason to talk poorly of him and simply gave me his professoinal opinion about my male dog. I just want my experience with this Animal Clinic to be known by other pet owners so that they dont have to go through the fear and heartache that I had to worrying that my pets kidneys were going to fail and that he was going to die. The only money that I was able to recieve back was for the 29.22 worth of dog food. This vet is completly impersonnal and offers HORRIBLE customer service. Please warn other pet owners. Read Less
