I've been taking my guineas pigs (I have five) here for several months and have had to make multiple visits. She's always been very awesome with me and my babies. It's honestly probably the best place to go in Wichita if you have small animals that need care. Simultaneously my parents rake their puppy here aswell. They get awesome treatment and care. You can't beat the prices and theyve always been very fair with it. Staff are kind and the Doctor is very knowledgable. I love this veterinary clinic and will continue bringing my fur babies here.

I would not recommend this office. The staff was uninformed of the office policy and Dr. Steineker was extremely unprofessional, and rude when I presented in the office. A specific service had been discussed on the phone with an employee, who assured me this service could be provided in office upon my arrival. Once in the office, the vet became very rude, and condescending while "explaining" to me that said service could not be provided. The employee simply said, "my bad" and the vet sent me on my way. I will not be returning to this business. Please educate your staff, and work on your bedside manner.

I contacted this office (which by no means is my regular vet who was closed on a Saturday) about picking up a round of Heartgard for my pet. I explained to the receptionist on the phone that I am not a regular customer at this clinic, and that I was interested in picking up some Heartgard if possible as I was about to board my animal that day and needed some to keep him covered. The reception said it was "no problem!" since I had told her my animal was up to date on all of his shots. Upon arriving, Dr. Dina Steineker immediately had an attitude with me, and was very unprofessional and argumentative saying that the receptionist was incorrect. If you are unable to release the Heartgard to me for my animal without an appointment, it is possible to explain this without being rude and condescending. Don't bother coming here unless you'd like to be berated and talked down to, take the time and go to a nice part of town. Avoid.

This is the only vet that I have found that truly cares about your “pocket pet”. Dr. Steineker took the time to teach me how to properly care for my bunny and give him the life he deserves. They didn’t cost me an arm and a leg, I was even able to afford to get him fixed. I didn’t even know you could perform surgeries on rabbits. Thank you Dr. Steineker you are truly one of the good ones

That’s the kind of love they have for their profession. I couldn’t ask for a better place to take my dogs. I tell anybody with pets to go to Animal Health Center of Wichita.

Probably the worst experience with the staff I've had to date. Their all about seeking drugs for your dogs. No information on the medicine such as "this is needed, this is OPTIONAL ECT..." they are just here to sell drugs.
The staff, one in particular told me my dog will need this medication until it dies... um EXCUSE me! That will be my last visit thank you very much.
I'm my opinion giving them 1 star is being too generous but they don't have a no star option.

Absolute worse experience i have ever had almost any where. First of they tried to tel friend since she had a little dog there was no hope unless we spend 800 on hospitalization. Which i know isn't true because when i went for my baby tiny they saved his life then i still had a bill of 30 dollars that they had the wrong address on so i didn't get the bills i ended up getting sent to collections the day i found out i called and paid collections before they even called me. But ...today when my friends dog had the exact same problem i told them that they helped my dog and she asked the name when i told her the name then she proceeds to tell every 1 how i haven't paid my bill even though it was paid then she made me pay 15 more dollars because the collections company charges half which isn't my fault but she made it my fault whoever the lady was is beyond unprofessional and rude i will never come back or refer another person and if the people who work there see this i want my 15 dollars back because you charged me twice for the same bill Mehr anzeigen

Dr. Steineker is a wonderful doctor for your loved ones. My boy Zeddy and I had our first visit today and I got a very good vibe from her instantly. Her hands an demeanor with my little guy were gentle and confident. I believe that even though he was upset about leaving home he could experience her compassin. Dr. Steineker examined my boy and decide that he needed to have an x-ray to check for tumors, as rats are known to have them after their second birthday. I must confess, I was more than anxious to discover the results and found myself holding my breath more tan once as I waited. Thankfully, Dr. Steineker returned in a reasonable amount of time. When she invited me to come to the lab area my migraine kicked into high gear, my mind began to race, and I felt weak in the knees. She began to speak in a friendly way and explained what the x-rays shone; NO tumors! Yea! The doctor did notice that his liver looked stressed and she decided that he needed a course of antibiotic, which she prepared and gave to as she explained the dosage. I am so relieved and so are my family and close friends. The know that Zeddy is my blessing boy, as I have lived alone for over fifteen years and he has been my respite from solitude the last couple of years. He is pretty much my world and he demonstrates his copious affection by the bucket load. Dr. Steineker even commented on how sweet of a child he is. I agreed. My thanks also go out to her support staff. They were both kind and knowledgeable, all thre or four; I was aided by several women. There ws a different associate at every turn, it appeared to. Thanks to all at the Animal Health Clinic. I am so glad I found you.

I have never had issues with this vet. She's always been very kind and considerate of me and the fact that I have limited income. She treats my dog with respect and has never blinked an eye when he needs treatment. She gave me options on how best to tend to his chronic ear infections and made sure to give options I could afford for his treatment... including seeing for follow ups for no charge. I suggest this vet fully. I've been to some vets who didn't care, only told me the charges and didn't care about things otherwise. This has never happened at Animal Health Center of Wichita. I'd say one of the commenters didn't share the whole story, and the second was a mourning pet mommy more than anything.

Dr. Dina Steineker is a great vet. She took immediate interest when checking my bunny rabbit over, she carefully examined him and cared for him. She has a special bond with bunnies, my bunny was so well behaved with the doctor and co-operated for most of the exam and nail clipping. She answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns, she did not rush the exam and she did a good job handling my bunny :) I'm so happy to of finally found a nice vet, thats affordable and very caring :)

Dr. Dina Steineker is a great veterinarian. She took great interest when examining my bunny rabbit, she covered all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. She has a real passion for bunnies, my bunny behaved so well for her and co-operated for the most part of the exam. I've been here twice and both times this lady has screwed me. First time she told me my puppy that already had all shots except rabies needed them all over again because he got them too young. I had another vet confirm this is total crap. Second time my dog had kennel cough she tried to simulate the cough by squeezing the throat. Nothing happened so she said he was fine. I tried to do the same thing to him when we got home and did the same thing to his throat and I was able to recreate the cough immediately. This B**** is a joke

Animal Health Center of Wichita is amazing. Last week my cat took a terrible turn and it was apparent that there was something wrong with him. They accommodated us and told us to go ahead and bring him in. When it was discovered that there was nothing that really could be done for him and it would be a better kindness to let him go to alleviate his pain and suffering, the staff was so compassionate and kind to my husband and myself. Today in the mail came a sympathy card and a card with my furbaby's paw print on it. This place is top notch and if/when we are ready to add to our family again this is where they will be going for their care.

I took my cat "OTIS" to this vet. My cat was having trouble breathing. I got there & I rushed in saying that OTIS was having trouble breathing & the vet & her employee just stood there staring at me. I then had to yell. Are you going to help me or not & the vet leisurely went to get her stethoscope, comes back and checks him over. She says he has no pulse on the back of his body and needed to be euthanized. I told her that I could not be present for that and I needed to call my husband to come. She got rude and said if I was not going to render her services that I need to get out of her establishment and pointed out the door. I asked her how much it would be and she said $80 to euthanize, $40 to walk in the door, and $40 to be in the room to watch. Who makes you pay to watch your pet be euthanized? While talking with my husband on the phone, my beloved Otis passed away in my arms. When I told her he passed she had to question me and get her stethoscope to check and all she could offer was a trash bag to put my cat in. How heartless? If you love your animal, do not take it to this cash cow. This is not my normal veterinarian, I knew Otis did not have enough time; I needed to get somewhere close.

I explained to the receptionist on the phone that I am not a regular customer at this clinic, and that I was interested in picking up some Heartgard if possible as I was about to board my animal that day and needed some to keep him covered. The reception said it was "no problem!" since I had told her my animal was up to date on all of his shots. Upon arriving, Dr. Dina Steineker immediately had an attitude with me, and was very unprofessional and argumentative saying that the receptionist was incorrect. If you are unable to release the Heartgard to me for my animal without an appointment, it is possible to explain this without being rude and condescending. Don't bother coming here unless you'd like to be berated and talked down to, take the time and go to a nice part of town. Avoid.

This is the only vet that I have found that truly cares about your “pocket pet”. Dr. Steineker took the time to teach me how to properly care for my bunny and give him the life he deserves. They didn’t cost me an arm and a leg, I was even able to afford to get him fixed. I didn’t even know you could perform surgeries on rabbits. Thank you Dr. Steineker you are truly one of the good ones

That’s the kind of love they have for their profession. I couldn’t ask for a better place to take my dogs. I tell anybody with pets to go to Animal Health Center of Wichita.

Probably the worst experience with the staff I've had to date. Their all about seeking drugs for your dogs. No information on the medicine such as "this is needed, this is OPTIONAL ECT..." they are just here to sell drugs.
The staff, one in particular told me my dog will need this medication until it dies... um EXCUSE me! That will be my last visit thank you very much.
I'm my opinion giving them 1 star is being too generous but they don't have a no star option.

Which i know isn't true because when i went for my baby tiny they saved his life then i still had a bill of 30 dollars that they had the wrong address on so i didn't get the bills i ended up getting sent to collections the day i found out i called and paid collections before they even called me. But ...today when my friends dog had the exact same problem i told them that they helped my dog and she asked the name when i told her the name then she proceeds to tell every 1 how i haven't paid my bill even though it was paid then she made me pay 15 more dollars because the collections company charges half which isn't my fault but she made it my fault whoever the lady was is beyond unprofessional and rude i will never come back or refer another person and if the people who work there see this i want my 15 dollars back because you charged me twice for the same bill Mehr anzeigen

Dr. Steineker is a wonderful doctor for your loved ones. My boy Zeddy and I had our first visit today and I got a very good vibe from her instantly. Her hands an demeanor with my little guy were gentle and confident. I believe that even though he was upset about leaving home he could experience her compassin. Dr. Steineker examined my boy and decide that he needed to have an x-ray to check for tumors, as rats are known to have them after their second birthday. I must confess, I was more than anxious to discover the results and found myself holding my breath more tan once as I waited. Thankfully, Dr. Steineker returned in a reasonable amount of time. When she invited me to come to the lab area my migraine kicked into high gear, my mind began to race, and I felt weak in the knees. She began to speak in a friendly way and explained what the x-rays shone; NO tumors! Yea! The doctor did notice that his liver looked stressed and she decided that he needed a course of antibiotic, which she prepared and gave to as she explained the dosage. I am so relieved and so are my family and close friends. The know that Zeddy is my blessing boy, as I have lived alone for over fifteen years and he has been my respite from solitude the last couple of years. He is pretty much my world and he demonstrates his copious affection by the bucket load. Dr. Steineker even commented on how sweet of a child he is. I agreed. My thanks also go out to her support staff. They were both kind and knowledgeable, all thre or four; I was aided by several women. There ws a different associate at every turn, it appeared to. Thanks to all at the Animal Health Clinic. I am so glad I found you.

I have never had issues with this vet. She's always been very kind and considerate of me and the fact that I have limited income. She treats my dog with respect and has never blinked an eye when he needs treatment. She gave me options on how best to tend to his chronic ear infections and made sure to give options I could afford for his treatment... including seeing for follow ups for no charge. I suggest this vet fully. I've been to some vets who didn't care, only told me the charges and didn't care about things otherwise. This has never happened at Animal Health Center of Wichita. I'd say one of the commenters didn't share the whole story, and the second was a mourning pet mommy more than anything.

Dr. Dina Steineker is a great vet. She took immediate interest when checking my bunny rabbit over, she carefully examined him and cared for him. She has a special bond with bunnies, my bunny was so well behaved with the doctor and co-operated for most of the exam and nail clipping. She answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns, she did not rush the exam and she did a good job handling my bunny :) I'm so happy to of finally found a nice vet, thats affordable and very caring :)

Dr. Dina Steineker is a great veterinarian. She took great interest when examining my bunny rabbit, she covered all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. She has a real passion for bunnies, my bunny behaved so well for her and co-operated for the most part of the exam. She took good care of my bunny :) I will definitely be taking my bunny and my kitties back to her again, I believe I have finally found a good vet for my furbabies!! I've been here twice and both times this lady has screwed me. First time she told me my puppy that already had all shots except rabies needed them all over again because he got them too young. I had another vet confirm this is total crap. Second time my dog had kennel cough she tried to simulate the cough by squeezing the throat. Nothing happened so she said he was fine. I tried to do the same thing to him when we got home and did the same thing to his throat and I was able to recreate the cough immediately. This B**** is a joke

Animal Health Center of Wichita is amazing. Last week my cat took a terrible turn and it was apparent that there was something wrong with him. They accommodated us and told us to go ahead and bring him in. When it was discovered that there was nothing that really could be done for him and it would be a better kindness to let him go to alleviate his pain and suffering, the staff was so compassionate and kind to my husband and myself. Today in the mail came a sympathy card and a card with my furbaby's paw print on it. This place is top notch and if/when we are ready to add to our family again this is where they will be going for their care.

I took my cat "OTIS" to this vet. My cat was having trouble breathing. I got there & I rushed in saying that OTIS was having trouble breathing & the vet & her employee just stood there staring at me. I then had to yell. Are you going to help me or not & the vet leisurely went to get her stethoscope, comes back and checks him over. She says he has no pulse on the back of his body and needed to be euthanized. I told her that I could not be present for that and I needed to call my husband to come. She got rude and said if I was not going to render her services that I need to get out of her establishment and pointed out the door. I asked her how much it would be and she said $80 to euthanize, $40 to walk in the door, and $40 to be in the room to watch. Who makes you pay to watch your pet be euthanized? While talking with my husband on the phone, my beloved Otis passed away in my arms. When I told her he passed she had to question me and get her stethoscope to check and all she could offer was a trash bag to put my cat in. How heartless? If you love your animal, do not take it to this cash cow. This is not my normal veterinarian, I knew Otis did not have enough time; I needed to get somewhere close.
