I think the clinic here does a wonderful job with animals, but I did not like my last experience with them. We called to have our 2 miniature schnauzers boarded for 3 days while we went out of town. A week later we went in to drop them off and were blind sided with the necessary vaccinations the dogs would have to get. It ended up costing us a total of $450 to have our dogs boarded. $78/dog for boarding and another $122/dog for examination and shots. While I have no problem w...ith with our dogs needed whatever the vet said, I have a problem with when it was relayed. Further more, we paid $47 per dog for some annual examination, but when we brought the dogs home, our female schnauzer had 7 epileptic seizures in one day. We had to rush her to an emergency vet which cost even more. We were put in a real bind being that our family was leaving town and this was our only option. In my opinion, all of the upfront costs should have been relayed at the time of calling. I could understand if they didn't know our animals, but we have boarded there many times. I don't feel this is the best way to conduct business. You can see from the other reviews, they do a really good job and in no way am I saying you shouldn't visit their practice. I never thought twice about who took care of our dogs when it came to a veterinarian! Today we had to put our 10 year boxer down due to cancer and Dr Dudan and staff were amazing! I recommend them to whom ever asks where we take our Boxer and Puggle for care. Read Less

Dr. Stamps was able to get our Great Dane's skin allergies and chronic diarrhea under control, which had not happened before. He is not only very proficient, but very kind, and always available to answer questions and to give help when needed. His staff, too, are friendly and professional. Dr. Gary Stamps is the most caring and competent veterinarian we have ever engaged to care for our pets and this is based on the experience of several decades of pet ownership. We have had odd situations too that required a great deal of medical insight to address, a cat with hyperthyroidism successful diagnosed and treated, a cat with food allergies to the point of almost dying that Dr. Stamps diagnosed and prescribed just the particular protein he could digest, etc. He has drawn upon his close relationship with Kansas State University as an additional resource in finding answers to difficult problems. Over and over again he has listened carefully to us and persevered in finding a cure when other vets would have given up. They treat their pets like family and extend the same care and concern to all who walk through the doors. We started seeing Dr. Stamps with our first dog Daisy and continued when we got our second dog Murphy. He was very patient with our million questions and spoke in a way that we could understand, without talking down to us. We always appreciated being part of the conversations and treatment options. Comparing our services with friends who went to other vet offices, we paid about average around town for service, but received the best quality of care.The staff was very attentive to our busy lives, willing to squeeze us in whenever we could. Everytime we called for a question or appointment, the staff knew who we were and who our dogs were without having to ask. The service we received was very personalized, from the reminder mailings, the report cards on each visit, to the follow up phone call the next day. With Dr. Stamps and his staff, we felt like part of the family.We recently moved out of state, and I was sad to have to leave such a warm and caring place. Dr. Stamps and his staff genuinely care about your pet. They listen to your concerns and are willing to do what is necessary to make your pet healthy and happy. No matter whether I call one week, one day, or one hour before I come in, I have never been turned down when my dog needs immediate attention. Dr. Stamps has been the best vet I have ever had. I can tell he truly cares about the well being of my pet. His office is very clean, and all of the staff are very friendly. Him AND his staff are very knowledgeable, I have always felt very comfortable talking to his Vet tech.s concerning whatever my dogs problems is. They have always given him all the info I gave them, not just skimming on what they think is important. Another important thing to me is, he tries other options before turning to surgery, pills or shots. He's more concerned of whats best for my dog, instead of easiest way out. Bottom line, my dogs have always been comfortable with him and his staff. They all like everyone there, and you can tell Dr. Stamps, and his staff love my dogs back. They all seem that they truly care for animals. -One time, my mom brought in a stray dog, who smelled like a skunk, and never been to a vet, it was 10 minutes before they closed on a Saturday (Xmas Eve too!) and they ALL stayed, gave the dog an exam, AND they ALL gave the dog a bath, she soaked them all head to toe, but they were happy to help out the dog.
