I am saddened to write this review. Dr. Pursely was our veterinarian for 13 years. 13 loyal years. He himself provides caring and trustworthy knowledge, but I cannot move past what has occurred.
2 years ago we took our dog in for lab work. I was asked if I wanted to pay in full or split the payment, I chose to split the payment. I regret that decision gravely. That same month I was planning a wedding and we were moving in as a family. We would end up moving one last time when we moved out of town. To say my life was busy, even if in a wonderful way, is an understatement. I missed the 2nd half of the payment and it went to collection. In the 13 years of our being his patients, we had NEVER missed a payment, as I always paid in full, let alone have a payment go to collections.
I paid in full when collections sent a letter.
Months later we had an emergency. I showed up for an early morning emergency visit and was upset as my dog had fallen down a flight of stairs. I WAS TOLD I COULD NO LONGER BE A PATIENT THERE EVER. I was astounded. I asked to pay cash upfront for every visit and procedure. I informed them I was getting married and I accidentally missed the payment. They turned me away. Dr. Pursely was not there that day. Another vet stood and watched uncomfortably as I was told to leave.
I ended up at Arapahoe for the emergent care and they were appalled at the treatment I received at Broadway, and rightfully so.
Today I called to speak with Dr. Pursely personally. I spoke with one of the rudest, most abrasive humans on the planet, Pam instead. I explained that my dog is not well and after 13 years of service, I wanted to ask Dr. Pursely to euthanize him in the upcoming days. I explained I would pay cash upfront.
Pam is an awful human being. She told me that I cost the clinic 27.00 when my payment went to collection. This is in the midst of my apologizing for the late payment and explaining the grief I felt from being banned from their services. I explained that I cost the clinic 27.00, which I would have gladly paid if they would have asked me to, but she cost the clinic over 500.00 as we have boarded our dogs and annual visits elsewhere since having to leave. She informed me she had no proof of that. No words.
Ultimately Dr. Pursely did not call me. Per Pam, he didn't want to. This hardly seems like the demeanor of the man I've interacted with for years. Whether it true or not, it's concerning and cold. I made 1 mistake over a course of 13 years. I wanted to absolve the problem and reassure them with cash upfront payments. I wanted my dog to pass in the hands that have been caring for him for over a decade. I cannot believe the outcome of this scenario and am incredibly saddened by it.
Please go elsewhere. Prairie Ridge Animal Hospital is where he have been and loved since being forced to leave Broadway. I urge you to take your business there. Read Less
