Cat Hospital Of Wichita

Wichita, Kansas
General Info
The appointment process at Cat Hospital of Wichita in Wichita unfolds as a multidimensional experience where pets have the opportunity to watch before participating. The progression rate mirrors the requirements of Kansas families. Upon arrival pets gain permission to investigate their environment. The process embraces scent-mapping alongside deliberate movements and selective engagement. The clinical team observes the animal's responses to floor texture variations, ceiling acoustic properties, and vertical elements. Every veterinary appointment presents unique circumstances—initial interactions may involve gentle palpation, visual examinations, or social acclimation techniques. Pet owners have the opportunity to disclose information about their pets' preferred resting spots at home alongside the specific noises their pets avoid and how their mealtime rhythms have changed. The Cat Hospital of Wichita offers an array of services such as injury assessments, immune system testing, muscle elasticity evaluations, sensory aversion treatments, and chronic illness co-management. Examination formats undergo modification in response to breath cycles freeze signals gaze breaks or limb withdrawal. Every examination space incorporates tools for immediate alteration through portable stools adjustable lighting and optional barriers to minimize visual overload. The caregiving process extends beyond medical procedures and finds its completion in the decompression stage. Pets receive a reorientation period before they exit. Owners receive detailed behavioral pacing guides which specify the appropriate waiting periods before reintroducing stimuli along with instructions on when to offer food or touch and how to identify signs of emotional lag or physical soreness. The Cat Hospital of Wichita collaborates with pets from Wichita and nearby Kansas regions to guarantee that every visit phase including entry treatment and recovery respects animal movement space and sequence processing.

I was disappointed to find my experience here was not as I had hoped. I HAD a cat with two chronic ongoing illnesses that the Dr here had seen her for of recent, and so when she went downhill, despite following all recommendations, I came back here waiting to bring my cat in early morning (instead of going to the animal hospital ER in the middle of the night)for the emergency service that she advertises online that she offers. Big mistake. I was waiting at the door when she opened. They admitted my cat but did not do anything for her, not even fluids, only putting a port in. They told me she was stable and they had 15 appointments ahead of me and that if the Dr thought she was not stable then she would not have put all the appointments in front of her. I felt otherwise and after calling the ER vet office to inquire if they could see her, I took her after paying my bill for the port. (even though they had not done any proper exam or as I would see later, if so they would have done more). She did not change in the 10 minute drive (that would not stress her out because she LOVED the car), and when I arrived at Wichita's Emergency clinic they immediately assessed her as critical, they did what they could to immediately stabilize her and she saw the vet right away who consulted with me thereafter. All of this took place in the same amount of time or less that I spent at Cat Hospital of Wichita where they did really nothing and just put me off. I am writing this as a WARNING to others who love their feline friends. Her advertisement that she can take emergencies is not founded in my experience. Further given my experience I question her ability to provide care at all. I was profoundly disappointed and if this was a human she would and could be under suit right now for her lack of care. INEXCUSABLE. Don't trust this vet or the people that staff it. They lack integrity and attention to what is realistic in their ability to provide care and your greatest love could pay for it with their life. Further just for clarification, I had paid my bill in full in my prior visit and in this one upon departure and paid a deposit upon my cat's admission as requested without hesitation at this clinic and still received this level of care. Visited and took my cat to the Hospital and Dr. Jones for the first time today. My very special cat has had a problem for around two years. We had been to a prominent vet here in Wichita several times. He treated her with injections and medications each times . She never improved. After watching my cat obviously suffer for so long I finally decided to try another vet for a second opinion. I left my cat there early this morning. We were called and told my cat has a urinary tract infection and she had been shaved and cleaned. The medication was new to us. I had my cat's records sent from the other vet and Dr. Jones called the manufacturer of the medicine the other vet had used to be told that the medication had NO qualities that could be of help in treating her problem! I am so happy to have found a vet that shows a true interest in helping my cat! The hospital is clean and the staff all very professional and kind. I am very happy to have found them! Read Less
