Indian Hills Animal Clinic

Wichita, Kansas
General Info
Indian Hills Animal Clinic is a dependable and caring resource for families throughout the Wichita region. Indian Hills Animal Clinic in Wichita champions a well-balanced life for pets at all stages through structured, seasonal, and as-needed visits that align with the different rhythms of pet life throughout Kansas. Each visit begins with inquiries about any household changes, such as the introduction of new foods and supplements, and alterations in the dog’s energy levels, sociability, or bathroom habits. Veterinarians perform a head-to-tail physical examination that considers the movement of joints, muscle tone, the condition of teeth and gums, the texture of the skin and hair, and historical weight records. Internal body sounds are also checked before findings are recorded. Preventive examinations and vaccinations incorporate internal testing and weight management support. Pain management and dental evaluations further complement the in-house treatments for allergies, ear infections, and mobility problems. Veterinarians may propose staggered appointments for pets with chronic conditions and seasonal checkups according to the pet’s age and health. Advanced diagnostic steps, like labs and imaging, are warranted if the patient’s behavior suddenly changes or other symptoms arise. Upon departure clients receive both physical notes and digital access to their charts along with timelines and reminders. Optional follow-ups are species specific and take into account severity and lifestyle. Families that own multiple pets or have several caretakers tend to use either of the two as well as the combined appointments and spaced scheduling. Experts might suggest behavior plans or adjustments to home mobility setups, depending on individual needs. Indian Hills Animal Clinic aims to improve veterinary services in Wichita by minimizing uncertainty and stress. Through consistent practice and adaptation to Kansas’s life, owners develop the ability to act early while remaining informed and supported. Some of the popular services offered at this center are ultrasound, cold laser therapy, orthopedic surgery, wellness examinations, diagnostics, dental care, acupuncture, blood pressure monitoring and oncology. The facility also caters to pocket pets and strives to ensure that services rendered are personalized and professional. Whether it’s a routine wellness plan or something more advanced, you can rest assured that your fur baby is in good hands at Indian Hills Animal Clinic. The team is passionate about growth and community involvement to ensure pets across Wichita and the United States get the best possible care.

Today was our first visit to Indian Hills Animal Clinic, as we had to put our ailing, 15 year-old Brittany to sleep. He had failed terribly in the last 2 or 3 days and we knew it was time - past time, really - but it was so hard to make the decision to say goodbye to our dear, loving companion and friend. Our regular vet couldn't see Dash soon enough, but we couldn't bear to see him suffer any longer. I am so glad we took a chance and called IHAC. We could not have asked for kinder and more sensitive treatment to dear, old Dash, and to ourselves. I wish we had gotten everyone's names, but I guess we were too upset to think of that right then... But, we'll be back, I guarantee it, with our other Brittany. HORRIBLE VET. Incompetent staff and management. I could write pages of the horrible 48 hour I spent with these people.I took my 17 year old cat there because they were just down the street and she was sick and stresses during traveling and her regular vet is across town. They took her and cut down all of her nail (we don't believe in that unless health reasons) without asking. The cat had healthy nails she grooms them constantly but they did it anyway. Unfortunately because she is so old she needs them to get onto her various perches around the house. We watched in horror as she fell 3 feet onto our hard wood floor because she couldn't get up to one of her spots. They charges us for blood and urine work to see what is wrong with her....kind of....The tech took a blood sample that was not blood according to the lab. Same tech that cut her nails....grrrr. Management told me the next morning when she made it to work at 10 am that the vet would be calling soon because she was concerned with the lab results. Never heard from her...so I called back at 1 now that my family was in full anxiety mode about the cat. Was told lab was not done by the manager...huh....then was called back by head vet nearly 4 PM and told that the lab could not be run because it was not blood. What?! Stay away. I wish I would have read some reviews before I took our family pet there. Not to mention overprice. So much for getting what you pay for.
