Oakcrest Pet Hospital

Wichita, Kansas
General Info
Oakcrest Pet Hospital is a well-established part of the veterinary community in Wichita. Families in Wichita trust Oakcrest Pet Hospital for the care decisions they make for their pets across Kansas, thanks to the structure’s guidance through “sound movement and space.” In the first few minutes, observation takes precedence over physical contact. Employees watch pets as they explore corner spaces and react to soft sounds by determining their positions relative to moving objects. The diagnostic flow is adjusted in real time. If a pet holds its breath during an ocular examination or flinches when the neck is touched, the staff adjusts the sequence of events for subsequent visits. Each decision gets more intricate by how often the dog initiates contact at home, where he prefers to sleep, and whether the owner had to open windows in response to his breathing. Oakcrest Pet Hospital provides complex services, such as pain modeling techniques and mobility assessments, preventive healthcare planning and long-term stabilization of chronic conditions, diagnostic evaluations to identify problems and environmental allergy testing. The services for the animals recovering from trauma or overstimulation would need to be divided into slots or combined with the decompression walks. The way daily activities are timed, coupled with domestic social settings, affects how the results are being communicated and paced. When determining follow-up visit dates, consider pets' post-care rebalancing progress rather than set calendar dates. Owners are trained to monitor the cat’s behaviors at home after the visit, such as reluctance to enter rooms, decreased stretching, and delayed meowing. Channels of communication are open to accommodate the patient in case routines need to be adjusted as symptoms slowly start to emerge. Oakcrest Pet Hospital caters to Wichita and the surrounding Kansas regions. It does this by helping pet owners better understand what their beloved companions are trying to communicate through their gestures and movements. The most popular services at this facility include wellness plans, puppy and kitten care, pet euthanasia, in-house pharmacy, behavioral counseling, orthopedic surgery, dental care and grooming. Cold laser therapy and boarding are also provided with utmost emphasis on personalized attention and professionalism. Through seamless collaboration and established protocols, the hospital empowers pet owners as partners in their pets’ wellness. The team is dedicated to ongoing development and community involvement to ensure that pets in Wichita and beyond receive the highest quality of care.

I rescued a dog from the Kansas Humane Society and Oakcrest was one of the partner pet hospitals on their paperwork. My daughter had a very sick kitten and she received excellent care and treatment through Oakcrest. She said I should give them a try. She also said that our family vet from years ago is at Oakcrest and I would be happy with the team. The day I made an appointment to get treatment for my new friend, the computer system was experiencing problems and the usual day to day routine was not working. Everyone at Oakcrest was pleasant, professional, helpful and caring. Even though the routine was disrupted and nothing was as it should be, I could see the team dynamic and the care given my furry friend even when things were not going smoothly. The team was writing things down to transfer them to their usual paperless system and I received a follow-up call the next day to check on the progress of my dog. I will be taking my family pets to Oakcrest. Read Less
