Wichita, Kansas
General Info
Pet owners throughout the city know that they can rely on West Wichita Pet Clinic’s welcoming and friendly professionalism. West Wichita Pet Clinic in Wichita targets the evolving needs of today’s pet families by offering a wide range of veterinary diagnostic and preventive care services. Lifestyle evaluations are often part of the initial workups, which also include standard laboratory tests and vaccination planning. The clinic offers screenings to identify early signs of illness in pets, such as reduced energy, difficulty moving, and changes in appetite. The team looks at behavior and background to form suggestions for improving practice to prevent bigger issues in the future. The West Wichita Pet Clinic is skilled in performing minor surgical procedures, rectifying dental hygiene problems, and managing prescriptions for chronic diseases. We've had a lot of experience with other clinics, both directly and indirectly through friends and family, and are so glad we are with Dr. Greg and his staff! Whenever we come in, or see someone else come in, everyone is always greeted as though there is nothing more important in their day. They are definitely there for your pets and do all they can with your pets best interest in mind. We have two dogs, one is 12yrs, and hates to leave her comfort zone for anything, (home) but actually calms down when we get there. Our 2yr old comes to day camp every week, and knows when it's her day, and gets upset when she has to miss the day for some reason. We have used every service they have to offer, and have no reservations with any of it. Thank you Dr. and your staff!!! Read Less

Not very happy. Was told that they would help get my cat feeling better for a night stay costing $75-$100 and ended up getting charged over $230. I didn't question it when I picked her up because the vet told me on the phone, "I gave her all her vaccinations so she is good to go." Which he never asked me if I wanted her vaccinated but I didn't argue with the bill because she would eventually need shots and its not like they could "undo" the shots. Fast forward to this week, I... get postcards in the mail stating, "Your cat is due for her shot! Come schedule an appointment!" Confused, I call the office asking why she needed more shots when the vet said "I gave her all her shots!" turns out he gave her ONE shot and charged me nearly $90 more than what he quoted me for her night stay. I understand more medications may have needed to be given, but they could have been at least courteous enough to call and say, "hey it turns out your kitty needs ____ to feel better or its actually going to be ___ more than I quoted you. Will that be ok?" But no...nothing. Didn't even tell me what all they gave her overnight when I picked her up. Just "here's the bill." Only giving an extra star because the techs seem nice and loved on my kitty while she was there. Update since I can't apparently comment on my own review now: I didn't leave happy. I didn't argue the bill at the time because I assumed it was because of all the vaccines I was promised she would receive, that was my fault for not asking. When the bill was discussed, I was quoted $75-100. I never gave consent for vaccines. I planned on getting them elsewhere or administering them myself minus the rabies. Yes I am happy she recovered quickly but I feel communication needs to be better as well as a clear itemized list provided to each customer showing the cost of each item and what was administered. We used this clinic to board our two dogs for a little over a week. The vet was kind and the staff was sweet. They were very informative and helpful and the vet was very attentive to our dogs. Our larger dog had an on-going problematic ear problem that I mentioned to the staff, just a precaustion to his sensitivity to it sometimes or possible over itching. It was a huge relief to have the actual vet call me and discuss his yeast infection and possible skin allergies by phone, personally. Read Less

If I could give zero stars, I would. I disregarded previous complaints from other reviewers. I'm telling you now, take the bad reviews serious. Our normal boarding place was full. We were told we could bring bedding, but it's unnecessary because they provide all of that. While walking through the place, I didn't see any bedding in the kennels or runs. The place smells really bad and I really didn't want to leave our pet here, but thought I wasn't giving them a fair chance. We came in with all the required tests performed the week before boarding. This vet will absolutely run unnecessary tests without your consent. And the fees are way more than our normal vet charges. And our normal vet fees are not the lowest in Wichita. That should give you some idea of how inflated this vets charges are. When you refuse to pay, he will threaten collections. Front desk staff was insanely rude. They talk over you without letting you finish your sentence. We boarded our pet and always pack extra food just in case we get delayed traveling home. We got a call days before pickup to say she was out of food. How does that happen when we packed extra. They either overfed her or threw her unfinished food out and didn't keep track if they fed her or not, just throwing extra food in there. Who knows how that happens. We've never had this type of issue at our normal boarding place. On top of all of this, when we got her home, she smelled really bad. She also seemed to be licking quite a bit. Upon further inspection she has a huge soar in her mouth that's obviously infected. How could this possibly go unnoticed? When taking her in to get that checked out, we were informed this place has a horrible reputation amongst the Vet community. Oh how I wish we would've trusted the negative reviews. If you love your pet, DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE. Read Less

Horrible initial experience. In the process of boarding our dog we were provided a list of items which needed to be completed prior to boarding. We took the list to our vet and complied with all of the requirements. We boarded our dog and the vet ran unnecessary duplicate tests on our dog and charged us for the unnecessary tests. When this was questioned the vet was argumentative and unpleasant. During our conversation the vet insinuated we were lying and that his staff was not capable of error. He is a completely unreasonable individual who refused to listen during the conversation. I had to continuously ask him to listen before responding because he was unclear on the timeline. Due to his lack of control during our conversation, I am still not sure he understood the circumstances surrounding our issue. It is unfortunate that a place so close to our home is led by a vet who is unreasonable and in our opinion running duplicate tests on our dog for his own profit. Needless to say we will not be boarding our dog at this vet again. Read Less

I took my dogs here for a number of years. In the beginning, it seemed great and convenient. They had boarding, grooming, and vet services. However, things drastically changed. The prices became absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. I found other vets that are better and charge half the price of this vet. I would be okay with paying more than other vets if I felt I was receiving customer service that warranted the price. HOWEVER, the customer service here is HORRIBLE. I could not believe the way I was being treated by the front staff here. The women were extremely short and rude with me. It makes one definitely not want to leave your pet with them. I called to schedule an appointment a week in advance to get my dog looked at for a possible UTI. From the mixed reviews on Google I called another place so that I would have a backup in case this clinic dropped the ball. And boy am I glad I did. It may seem like an amazing place-boarding, grooming, day-care, and a vet.... But the service blows. I called to confirm and ask questions (because I was nervous about a new vet-just moved to the area) twice throughout the week. Then on the day of I called to confirm AGAIN, and they told me I had canceled the appointment! The receptionist then proceeded to rudely tell me that I must have canceled, because she didn't remember scheduling anything and the other receptionist said I called to cancel. All in all I'm glad I listened to my gut and double booked, because even though this place is cheaper (by about $7) you get what you pay for. As other comments (on Google) suggested: if they are that rude to humans I can only imagine how they treat the animals they 'care' for. Read Less

Read Less

I took my 8 year old Yorkie mix to get groomed. It was her first time going to a groomer and I was worried about how she would do because she doesnt even like us to brush her. When I went to drop her off the office staff reassured me that everything would be okay and that they would contact me if there were any problems. They called me and let me know that she was finished and ready to be picked up. When I arrived they told me she did good and that they just had to take their time and go slow. I was so happy when I saw her she looked amazing. I rate West Wichita Pet Clinic 5 starts. The office staff was kind and the groomer did an amazing job!

I would tell you to do your research elsewhere before deciding on this vet service. Read Less

Read Less
