Connie at the front desk has helped me thru the loss of my nearly 19 year old baby girl, and with welcoming new members into my home. Her advise and that of the doctors has always been spot on. My dog Daisy was completely neglected there. I took her in at 5 am in severe pain ready to put her to sleep she was suffering so much. But under the vets advice I was told to leave her there they would admit her do blood work and get her pain under control. At 4 pm my husband and I went to check on her the same day and we could hear her crying out in pain. Still no blood work. That is until I told the vet I wanted my dog. He told me thats not besy for her. Hmmm than what would have been to leave her there and let her die. Needless to say my husband and I took her from the vet. She could not even stand up or even hold her head up. I took her to another vet and within 20 min I found out she was suffering from pancreatitis. She is still in care of the new vet. I have been coming here for 20 years, even after moving to Wichita. I also bring my mothers, aunt and grandmothers animals here. The prices are reasonable the care is excellent!!! I would take my animals to anyone else! Kip has taken care of numerous dogs and cats and a couple of ferrets and even nursed back to health a pet duck I had that had a inter ear infection and couldn't hold it's head up right. He treated me and my various elderly dogs with compassion when they became too sick to carry on and had to be put to sleep. Dr. Nelson was amazing. Very personable, caring, and professional. He explained all our options and helped us decide what the best plan was, which actually ended up being the cheapest option (rather than suggesting x-rays, etc that would cost more). This is by far the best veterinary hospital in the area. A friend recommended the vet to me after I had a few bad experiences with other vets. They take very good care of you and your animals. I recently had my two dogs fixed and vaccinated at the clinic, and was very pleased. The doctors told me I could call anytime to get updates on their surgeries.
