I can't overstate the awesomeness of these establishments. I have sought treatment for my ferrets for years now with Dr. Simmons at both the Richmond and Berea locations. Through good times and bad the staff is caring beyond belief and you can really tell the Doctor loves animals of all types. My young ferret needed medication not usually carried and they went through great lengths to find and order it for her and kept in communication with me the whole time. Dr. Hancock, Rachel and Sarita were very caring and loving with my dachshund, Schnitzel. Dr. Hancock did everything she possibly could to make Schnitzel better again, but God had another plan. I first took him to AAC 7/3/2017 and made several more trips trying to help relieve Schnitzel of his severe pain. God took him on 8/12/2017. I couldn't bear to see my sweet little guy in anymore pain. His 6th birthday was 6/16; so he was very very young. If you knew Schnitzel you would have be attached instantly. He had a super personality and was a real character. He was such a joy. I, needless to say, have a huge hole in my heart. Dr. Hancock and staff are truly great people and they genuinely care about the animals they treat. My dog was getting a tooth pulled. He came back to me in much better condition then the previous time he had been under anesthesia for a teeth cleaning at a different vet. They took great care of him and the prices were very reasonable.Read Less

Outstanding animal care by vets and staff who care. They love animals and to out of their way to do what's needed and help with a lot of rescues, often going into their own pockets to help both animals and often save them from euthanasia. They are the best! Read Less

Dr. Simmons and the staff was very kind. I would visit the hospital again. I took in my sons sugar glider (sly) who had broke his tail. The dr. Done surgery to take the broken part off..I'm sad to say tho after surgery sly stopped breathing and passed away. It has broken our hearts. Dr. Simmons did all he could for sly. I thank them for doing what they could for him. We did have him cremated. So we will pick him up soon and bring him home. Thank u Advanced Animal Care. I appreciate your kindness and understanding. Just found a baby bunny that the neighbors dog had tore it's back leg almost off I took it to Advanced animal care where they have a wildlife rescue program they took the bunny for free and will treat his wounds and eventually release him back to the wild no charge but I do plan on making a donation!! I brought in an abandoned bird this morning. I had been taking care of it for 5 days. I talked to Dr. Kevin Simmons on the phone and he said to bring it in and they would rescue it. Dr. Simmons was so very helpful and as I was leaving he came all the way to my car and said I did a good job taking care of the little bird and wanted to say thanks again for driving down to bring it to them. My family has brought two of our dogs here on two separate occasions, one because she was pregnant and the other for her monthly shots. Both beautiful, exuberant, healthy dogs before their visit. The first one, Meeyang, was released to come home with us because she was having a "healthy pregnancy" and we had nothing to worry about. She died a few days later, along with her puppies. The second one, Brin, was released yesterday right after her monthly shots. Although we were warned that she would feel some sickness for approximately two hours after treatment, the sickness would pass and we had nothing to worry about. She died one hour after her visit. When addressed about the issue at hand, Dr. Hancock referred to Brin as a "he" throughout his entire apology(if you can even call it that) which to me signified that our dog and our issue was just another dollar sign and that what happened to our dogs was merely nature running its course. Although they were apologetic towards what has happened to our pets, we will never come back to this establishment. Updated Review: They sent my dog home after surgery still bleeding. He died during the night by bleeding to death. I called and told them and their response was to try to sell me disposal methods. NO ONE ever called to say they were sorry. I have changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars because after posting my initial review, the office manager called and was very concerned that this situation occurred. I received a follow up card where she apologized again and stated that she had held a sensitivity training course. Based on customer reviews on their facebook page my experience does not appear to be typical. I would insist on a meeting with a vet after any future procedures on one of my animals, not just here but anyplace. Read Less

Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life when I had to put my little rattie girl Mia to sleep. The staff was beyond sweet and really eased my sadness, I knew Mia was in good hands and I felt like they were family. They treated her with the best care and I will be coming back with my other three fur babies. I also wanted to thank you guys for putting Mia's footprints on the card, I wanted to do this myself but knew it would be too hard and it was the greatest gift I could have been given. Bless you all.
