I have had to put down a couple of pets before, but I have never received such care and compassion as I did at Bluegrass. They went above and beyond to make a horrible experience bearable for my family. They were so loving and understanding. I will never forget that and will continue to take my pets to a place where I know the staff will take the best care of us as well as our pets. Thank you so much.

We were referred out to this Vet for dental as our regular Vet did not have the services available until Fall. I was not comfortable while sitting in the waiting room, the Vet did not close the door prior to speaking with the people ahead of us and shared the details of how a dog that had her sutures open, guts fall out and she was walking around on them, not really something the rest of us needed to hear. Once our turn came, the area had not been sanitized as it still had someone else's pets hair on the table liner, which is similar to the non slip stuff you put under your rugs to hold them still. The Vet tech was fine, the Vet not at all. It was like there was so much that could possibly go/be wrong that the cost continued to grow throughout the visit from the original price given, to almost $400 extra. I scheduled, then the person who was going to end up doing the dental procedure the day of the set appointment was not even the same Vet that examined my cat. On top of everything else, my cat ended up with a respiratory issue, resulting in a visit to our regular vet for treatment. The end results I did not take my cat back for dental at all, I called, cancelled letting them know exactly why. Not recommended by me for anything.

My regular vet was out of town when my 2 year old goat developed a urinary blockage. He suffered all night screaming in pain. In the morning a spent hours on the phone trying to find help for him. Bluegrass took him right in and the vet worked on him for a long time, even made a call to her former professor for advice. Henry stayed the day and received excellent care. I am convinced that Bluegrass Animal Clinic saved his life. Thank you to all the staff from all my heart.

I've taken 2 female dogs and a male cat here for shots, spay, and neuter and they are always super friendly. The animals were not scared to be there and they acted normal when they came home. No problems after surgery and they sent home pain meds. Very straight forward with the bill they tell you before your appointment how much each thing costs.

My sweet 7lb Bella had ran out of the house and ended up being attacked by a neighbors german shepherd tonight. I called Dr Williams emergency after hours number and he met me at the clinic in 15 mins!!!she checked her over and gave us a huge sigh of relief!! He was incredibly kind when I panicked a few hours later and called him yet again when I saw more bleeding and he put my mind to rest. I will definitely be back for shots and such and will be spreading how amazing his office is!! Thank you sooo much!! (Seriously... we are like first time parents with a baby having the sniffles!! Paranoid and worried!!)

I have 5 pets, all of which have had minor issues to major emergencies over the years. Since we moved to Brandenburg we've trusted no one else with the care of our pets. The staff is so friendly and always work to get us in as soon as possible for routine care, and allow drop off for those unexpected situations pets seem to get into. One of ours has a predilection for swallowing things he shouldn't and the vet staff here handled the emergency quickly and compassionately and had our pup back home by the next day. You can't go wrong choosing Meade Co Vet Hospital for the care of your pets!

My puppy got sick. He ended up with parvo. One if the vet techs-michelle- helped me from the start. She helped diagnose the illness and gave me complete instructions on the proper steps to take. She even answered every call(which was about 4calls over 2 days) with a positive attitude and happy voice. She was amazing. Honestly, she makes this office great. All five stars are for her. Thank you Michelle - you are my hero, and have already been telling everyone about you. Merry Christmas from me, and the pups( Jack and Houdini).

I just want to thank Dr. Williams and the staff at Meade Co Vet Hospital for saving our fur - babies life. Logo had a twisted stomach and was bloated badly when I took him in, after hours, to Dr. Williams. The outlook was not good if surgery wasn't preformed then. Dr. Williams immediately got him prepped and fixed his issue! You truly see the passion that this practice has for the welfare of the animals they care for. We will be back, no doubt about it! Yesterday was our first ever visit to Meade County Veterinary Hospital and we were seen by Dr. Lenz for concerns I was having about our dog with urinary incontinence. I had addressed these concerns with a prior vet back in March and was told "he is a puppy" and my concerns were dismissed without Browning being checked. Yesterday we discovered Browning has an "off the charts" UTI as well as crystals and blood that were visible under the microscope. Dr Lenz and the staff there answered all of my questions and concerns about our dog and put a treatment plan in place AND even found a way to make it so the bill was not super high for the meds he will need. I am so very thankful for this office and their friendly atmosphere. I am SUPER thankful I followed my gut instinct and made a call to have him seen here for the issues I was seeing with him. I am very comfortable know that Browning is now in good hands and will be treated and get back to being a happy and healthy dog very soon. THANK YOU to Meade County Vet and Dr. Lenz for all that you do!!! I am truly grateful because his condition could have gotten much worse had we continued with that other vet.

I have had two life long furfamily members euthanized at this facility - a dog and a rabbit- my daisy ( dog) was misdiagnosed by another local vet. This office took us in, gave us very respectful and compassionate care. When it came time to end Daisy's suffering ( she had an aggressive form of cancer) both vets were very understanding and accommodating to my requests. I had another dog dolly, daisys best friend, who ended up having some type of internal infection and had to have surgery, and the vets again were very compassionate and caring and very quick to treat my dolly Dolly passed away 29 May 2015 due to complications from surgery. Immediately after surgery, dr Williams let me and my two older daughters back to see dolly. She passed that night and dr Williams called Me as soon as he could to tell Me. And again this office was very accommodating. I came in and the staff had dolly in a room on an exam table covered with a blanket. The vet came in spoke to me and they allowed me to stay until I was ready to leave. These are some of the most compassionate people in this area! Have great care to my furry family. I am sad to be moving and would take them all with me if I could.

We were referred out to this Vet for dental as our regular Vet did not have the services available until Fall. My regular vet was out of town when my 2 year old goat developed a urinary blockage. He suffered all night screaming in pain. In the morning a spent hours on the phone trying to find help for him. Bluegrass took him right in and the vet worked on him for a long time, even made a call to her former professor for advice. Henry stayed the day and received excellent care. Yesterday was our first ever visit to Meade County Veterinary Hospital and we were seen by Dr. Lenz for concerns I was having about our dog with urinary incontinence. I had addressed these concerns with a prior vet back in March and was told "he is a puppy" and my concerns were dismissed without Browning being checked. Yesterday we discovered Browning has an "off the charts" UTI as well as crystals and blood that were visible under the microscope. Dr Lenz and the staff there answered all of my questions and concerns about our dog and put a treatment plan in place AND even found a way to make it so the bill was not super high for the meds he will need. I am so very thankful for this office and their friendly atmosphere. I am SUPER thankful I followed my gut instinct and made a call to have him seen here for the issues I was seeing with him. I am very comfortable know that Browning is now in good hands and will be treated and get back to being a happy and healthy dog very soon. THANK YOU to Meade County Vet and Dr. Lenz for all that you do!!! I am truly grateful because his condition could have gotten much worse had we continued with that other vet.

I have had two life long furfamily members euthanized at this facility - a dog and a rabbit- my daisy ( dog) was misdiagnosed by another local vet. This office took us in, gave us very respectful and compassionate care. When it came time to end Daisy's suffering ( she had an aggressive form of cancer) both vets were very understanding and accommodating to my requests. I had another dog dolly, daisys best friend, who ended up having some type of internal infection and had to have surgery, and the vets again were very compassionate and caring and very quick to treat my dolly Dolly passed away 29 May 2015 due to complications from surgery. Immediately after surgery, dr Williams let me and my two older daughters back to see dolly. She passed that night and dr Williams called Me as soon as he could to tell Me. And again this office was very accommodating. I came in and the staff had dolly in a room on an exam table covered with a blanket. The vet came in spoke to me and they allowed me to stay until I was ready to leave. These are some of the most compassionate people in this area! Have great care to my furry family. I am sad to be moving and would take them all with me if I could.
