I was costumer for 12 years (with 2 dogs and 2 cats) until this morning 01/24/2018 when I was told, after waiting for 30 minutes inside the exam room that I was late for the appointment and unfortunately because they had a staff meeting they were not be able to attend my cat. They suggested I could leave my cat with them and pick her up later or make another appointment . My cat appointment was made last year for 01/24/18 12:30 and I had it on my google calendar. I was "almost" sure I was right but I didn't argue because in other case , with my dog's app. , I was 1 hour early and I had to wait for 1 hour plus 1 hour inside the room for the actual appointment. So I went home and I find the card written by the receptionist for 12:30. Then I double checked my email and I found an opened email from them informing the appointment was 12 pm. I have being costumer for 12 years and the past years we don't have a specific vet. and I just don't feel welcome anymore. The 2 stars I am giving is for cleanness , easy access and because when my beloved dog that I brought with me from Brazil died 8 years ago with cancer this was the last place she saw and they sent me her ashes with a card signed from the staff. Have left my pitbull here multiple times for extended trips with their boarding service. My dog has always been treated well and I have never noticed any evidence of mistreatment. I also take her here for her routine check ups. We had her spade her as well. There was complications during her surgery due to an unknown clotting issue she had. The veterinarian had no way of knowing. They were able to save my dog Luna and the stitch work they did in her was amazing. I believe it was somewhere around 20 staples from having to further open her up to save her life. I report this because I believe it reflects it ability of the vet to respond to unknown conditions that animals have. I believe that if it had been another vet, things may have been much different. This is the most expensive vet I have ever been to. I justified it, or at least tried to be Ok with it, because it's so close to my house. But, I cannot justify it anymore. I am changing vets to one that offers PHENOMENAL treatment and charges FAIR prices. One shouldn't be scared to take their beloved pet to the vet because of the exorbitant charges that this place thinks is justified. It's just not. ONE visit to this place for my dog's annual shots (30 min) was equivalent to 3 times what I paid for my son's swim lessons this summer. That's ridiculous. And they AUTOMATICALLY made appointments for my pet without even asking me if these dates and times were good. I just don't feel confident anymore that their main motivation isn't money.  Not to mention they were very difficult to get prescriptions for fulfillment of my pet's heart worm and flea med because, you guessed it, they wanted me to pay more to buy from them. Great team here. Vets and support techs are top notch and grooming crew always does an excellent job. They are great with my goldendoodle. This is the only local vet I could find accredited by the national organization which means they have to follow strict protocols. FYI....grooming is booming here so you may have to book a month's or two ahead if you want a specific date and time.Read Less

As a lifetime pet parent I can easily say this is the vet hospital I have ever been to. They are very thorough with explanations of medicines and procedures. The prices are very reasonable and they have a passion for the welfare of our critter companions. I would recommend this vet to anyone, especially exotic pet parents. We just moved to Crestwood from Jtown and took our new puppy here. The facilities are the best I've seen and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our vet gave us wonderful advice and took great care. This is the best veterinary hospital I've ever been to. We'll be transferring our cats to be seen here too. Read Less

The staff are extremely rude and unprofessional, the veterinarians are not available to answer questions or concerns. The owner of the clinic recommended treatment of allergy symptoms in my cat with Zyrtec, which has not been tested or approved for use in cats and therefore is not safe - because this seemed strange and unsafe to me, I am glad and relieved to say I did not give this to my cat. The owner, Dr. Suddeth, also failed to say anything to me about my cats' dental health which was poor and I discovered this only when I looked at the notes from the visit where the box for "abnormal" was checked next to dental examination. I immediately went to another clinic and had her teeth cleaned and she had to have four extracted because they were decaying and had been causing her pain. The vets here also recommended Taste of the Wild cat food which contains fish and is very bad for cats as fish in their diet causes urinary problems such as kidney stones, which can become fatal, especially in male cats. If all this were not bad enough, this clinic shows their priority for money over their care of their patients by advertising on their kitten page about declawing (the unnecessary and agonizingly and chronically painful chopping off of cats' toes at their first knuckle. Imagine a doctor chopping off the tops of your fingers and toes and expecting you to live like that, in chronic pain, for the rest of your life! Not only are declawed cats in constant pain, but they also have to walk on those amputated paws missing the tops of their toes). Terrible place. I recommend people keep their fur babies as far away as possible from these people. Read Less

I feel so confident when I bring any of my pets to Crestwood Animal Hospital. Not only do they make me feel at home, but you can tell they are interested in how my pet feels about the experience and try their best to make the visit a positive one. This is especially true for my anxious dog Smokey. He has never had a more calm visit to any vet. They let him sniff and walk around and went at his pace. They didn't push him too hard but still did their evaluation while he was munching the treats I brought or walking around the room. They really instill a lot of faith in their program. Early on Friday 10/21 we had an emergency with one of our pets, that our veterinarian for the last 15 years could not fit us in for. Our beloved Bingo needed a minor procedure and antibiotics to ensure her health after a slight accident. CAH had no problem fitting her in that day. Dr. Jerry, Lindsay, Brandi and the entire staff were so accomodating, caring, and genuinely concerned with the care of our family member. Bingo had a foot injury that the staff went above and beyond to take care of, they even made a plastic "bootie" for her so she wouldn't get it wet. Worst veterinary experience I have ever had. The staff did not care at all about my dogs sickness with tapeworms. All they cared about was their profit. I was told it would be $76 for ONLY FOUR de-worming pills and when I explained that I could not afford that the tech said she would speak to the vet about other options. The only thing they could do was give me two pills instead of four and charge me 50$ for them. Not much help. and then they proceeded to charge me 20$ for a nail trim that I was told was a free service. The vet would not bother coming in to speak with me because he was on the phone with a client, who evidently took precedence over me and my dog. In short, do not bring your animal here if you don't have endless pockets because they will not treat you or your pet with respect. Read Less

We love this practice! Most of the staff are friendly and helpful! Dr. Gregory is excellent with small animals, and she as well as Dr. Suddeth have helped to care for our very difficult older dog. They are patient and understanding, and willing to work around our difficulties in treating our pets. My only complaints are when Dr. Gregory (who is the resident small animal expert) is unavailable without prior notice (like on vacation/out of town) because there is no other small animal vet with as much experience as her when it comes to emergencies, and when it's time to get a medication refill - they can be very slow to fill it and they promise to call you, but often we don't get called. Prices are relatively higher than small town/country vets, but with the service we have received from Dr. Gregory, and the sensitivity and kindness their staff has shown in the loss of several pets, we consider it worth the cost.Read Less

Took my pup, Peyton, to see Dr. Suddeth on his 2nd (estimated) birthday for his annual exam, and, as always, Dr. S put ME at ease! His manner of handling Peyton is just great! I didn't even realize that he'd given Pey his shots or the Bordetella vaccine nose drops!! And he called as soon as Pey's labs came back. I've been taking our pets to Crestwood Animal Hospital since they were in the house on Hwy 329 and have always felt like they treat my loved ones as their own! Read Less

First time taking Jack for boarding. He came home a happy dog. The staff here are super friendly. I love the fact that it doesn't house 100+ dogs. They have perfect hours for pick up and drop off, especially Sundays from 12 to 3. Best of all, I don't have to worry if a medical need arises, he's already at the vet :) Read Less

We love, love, love Crestwood Animal Hospital. They are one of the few avian vets in town, which is a big deal for us since we have four smaller parrots and a large blue and gold macaw. Prices seem to be lower for avian services than the few other options around town, which helps. Both Dr. Gregory and Dr. Suddeth are extremely warm and caring about the animals they are seeing. Unlike at least one other avian vet in town, they're actually friendly and polite with customers as well. The office staff and assistants are always friendly and helpful.
