My dachshund has been coming to Heartland since 2005. They are very caring folks and provide excellent care. My doxie had back problems and I followed their advice and he can now walk again without any problems. Dr. Rowland is great as are all their techs and front office staff.

I am changing my review after previously leaving a negative review. After a rough start with trying to make an appnt over the phone, a friend convinced me to give them another try due to her love for the vet with her own animals. So this time I physically stopped by to make an appointment. Completely different experience this time, and I ended up going twice in two weeks to take my dog and then my kittens. This is a very clean facility that has separate rooms for the cats and dogs, which is very considerate to both pets and the owners. The vet staff was absolutely wonderful, and both veterinarians were enthusiastic and definitely showed love and empathy for animals. I'm glad I listened to my friend and gave Heartland Vet another chance, and I highly recommend them to anyone else who requires vet care. Thank you Heartland Vet for taking such good care of my furbabies.

We were referred here by our regular vet in Lexington for a surgery they could not perform. I was definitely nervous to go to a brand new vet for something sort of serious, but I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. From the first phone call I received outstanding service. Danielle worked hard to ensure we were getting the best deal and were comfortable with the services we were receiving. They were able to schedule us in only a few days after the initial call so we were still able to go on our vacation. Everything with the procedure went very well, and at the end Dr. Rowland took his time answering all of my questions and talking it though. I did not feel rushed the way I do with other vets. I am so impressed. If this clinic was not so far away from me, I'd be a regular client. I highly recommend!

Just recently I had to make a very difficult decision - my sweet Boxer was in poor health & her quality of life was compromised. The staff at Heartland went above & beyond to provide the information & compassion necessary for me to make the best/right decision for a very special girl. She brought me (and others) so much joy & love for many years and I know I made the right..though very difficult decision...to quit being selfish & give my "baby" the peace she deserved. It was difficult letting go, but was best. Those who love animals understand my sadness...how much I miss her. Today I received a sympathy card from the staff at Heartland along with a package. Inside the package was a was a paw print engraved with the name & date of the passing of my precious Boxer, Baylee. I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative I am of this gift - one that I will always treasure. Thank you to the wonderful staff of Heartland - you gave me a memento I will treasure forever!

My kitten was recently cared for by this vet, who clearly didn't know what they were doing. The first time we took him in for an exam they said he had two different types of worms and they gave us 3 syringes of medication once a day for three days. He was only getting worse by the time we finished treatment so on the third day we called the vet because it was his worst day by far he was still vomiting worse than he was before the treatment, we made another appointment where he was given iv fluids. We explained what had been going on and how much worse he had gotten and they gave him 4 days worth of nausea medication and felt that he was healthy and well enough to go home. We woke up this morning to find our baby dead. I just feel like they should have done a better job, there had to be something more that could have caused him to die. They should have done a more thorough exam. We heard good things about this place and thought it seemed like a good vet..sadly, We were wrong and it costed my animals life. I can't blame them for my cat being sick, but I can say the treatments failed and I'm angry that they told us that he was healthy then we get home and the next morning we wake up and he's dead. It just doesn't seem right. Other people may have had a different experience than we did and I'm glad that their animals were cared for and treated successfully but I will not use this vet for any of my other animals.

Heartland has amazing vets, excellent vet techs, and an awesome staff. They have been nothing but the best to my yellow lab, Maddy, as well as to me. I volunteered with them in the summer of 2015 and they taught me so much while having lots of fun. I made some great new friends (dogs and humans!) volunteering at Heartland. I highly recommend Heartland Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Rowland genuinely cares for the pets. He understands that they are not just animals, but family members. The staff at Heartland goes out of their way to treat all the pets entrusted to them as special as they would if it were their own. The medical care and the doggie daycare is exceptional,not to mention the special picture days. I highly recommend Heartland Veterinarian Hospital if you need a forever doctor or even if you have an emergency when passing through!

I was in Danville visiting my Mom on a Saturday when my dog was hit by a car. I did not know any vets in town, but saw in the phone book that Heartland has 24hour emergency services. I called and Dr Bieschel and vet tech Amy met me there. They were very kind and professional. They took excellent care of my dog! We had to take him to the vet when we got back to Louisville and comparing prices, Heartland is reasonable (way cheaper than Louisville vets). He is still recovering, but should be back in shape by the time summer is here. Thanks gals!

My kitten was recently cared for by this vet, who clearly didn't know what they were doing. The first time we took him in for an exam they said he had two different types of worms and they gave us 3 syringes of medication once a day for three days. He was only getting worse by the time we finished treatment so on the third day we called the vet because it was his worst day by far he was still vomiting worse than he was before the treatment, we made another appointment where he was given iv fluids. We explained what had been going on and how much worse he had gotten and they gave him 4 days worth of nausea medication and felt that he was healthy and well enough to go home. We woke up this morning to find our baby dead. I just feel like they should have done a better job, there had to be something more that could have caused him to die. They should have done a more thorough exam. We heard good things about this place and thought it seemed like a good vet..sadly, We were wrong and it costed my animals life. I can't blame them for my cat being sick, but I can say the treatments failed and I'm angry that they told us that he was healthy then we get home and the next morning we wake up and he's dead. It just doesn't seem right. Other people may have had a different experience than we did and I'm glad that their animals were cared for and treated successfully but I will not use this vet for any of my other animals.

Heartland has amazing vets, excellent vet techs, and an awesome staff. They have been nothing but the best to my yellow lab, Maddy, as well as to me. I volunteered with them in the summer of 2015 and they taught me so much while having lots of fun. I made some great new friends (dogs and humans!) volunteering at Heartland. I highly recommend Heartland Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Rowland genuinely cares for the pets. He understands that they are not just animals, but family members. The staff at Heartland goes out of their way to treat all the pets entrusted to them as special as they would if it were their own. The medical care and the doggie daycare is exceptional,not to mention the special picture days. I highly recommend Heartland Veterinarian Hospital if you need a forever doctor or even if you have an emergency when passing through!

I was in Danville visiting my Mom on a Saturday when my dog was hit by a car. I did not know any vets in town, but saw in the phone book that Heartland has 24hour emergency services. I called and Dr Bieschel and vet tech Amy met me there. They were very kind and professional. They took excellent care of my dog! We had to take him to the vet when we got back to Louisville and comparing prices, Heartland is reasonable (way cheaper than Louisville vets). He is still recovering, but should be back in shape by the time summer is here. Thanks gals!
