Our experience at this office was horrible to say the least! The office staff are great but Dr Davis needs an attitude adjustment! Dr Davis never once tried to get to know our German shepherd and was quick to have him mussled. After putting the mussle on he returned to the exam room and preceded to give my dog a shot which he protested and struggled. And what dog or human wouldn’t protest! I asked the vet to leave so I could calm my dog down. Needless to say the vet cleared the waiting room saying there was a voilent dog inside then marched out to my car yelling at my husband saying what kind of man would allow their wife to bring my dog in. My husband locked the car leaving our other shepherd inside. While in the exam room the vet continued to yell at us. Before long Dr Davis said our breeder was a terrible breeder and our shepherd was a vicious dog. He offered to give our dog a shot for him to go to sleep. I looked at the vet confused as to treat my dog or euthanize him? So I clarified his “sleep” comment and when the vet returned with to “euthanize, put him to death “. I replied with a very stern NO! I truly believe that the vet and our breeder have had words and this is Dr Davis’ way to retaliate by euthanizing all my breeders pups. Read Less

Dr. Dan Davis and his staff are excellent. They are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I trust them completely with my 3 dogs and 7 cats. One of my dogs are on a couple of medications. Go here if you want to pay excessive fees and a rude vet. I made a yelp account just because of the way this vet acted. We waited 45 minutes after our appointment time to even be seen. The vet was rude beyond belief. I asked if they did any sort of billing by mail and the vet told me he doesn't work for free. I wasn't asking for anything free or discounted, I was asking for a bill. They showed tremendous care and compassion for my beloved 16 year old dog last year as we had to say goodbye to her and now show the same excellent care to our puppy Maggie! Such a caring and kind staff! I waited 45 minutes for my appointment after being told it be just a few minutes when I checked in. When I expressed my concerns to the vet, he got nasty and focused on making excuses instead of listening to my concerns and frustration. He made snarky, unprofessional comments like "I would LOVE for my doctor appointments to start on time." When I told him I didn't appreciate his tone, he got mad at me and said he wasn't going to treat my dog even though I had waited 45 minutes. I had to be the one to say "Let's start over" before he would agree to examine my dog. I should have walked out like my gut told me to do. However, I had waited so long, I wanted something productive to happen after my wait. While his staff tried their best to be understanding, I won't be going back and will tell everyone I know to steer clear. I am beyond disappointed and outraged with the service I received, not only with the disrespect of the secretary and Dr. But also how I was mocked and made a fool of when I questioned the cost of medicine my dog was given. This was the second visit and third prescription, after investigating the prescribed medication I quickly learned all three are readily available on-line, the local tractor supply, and southern states close to four times less expensive, not to mention the first 2 medications didn't change a thing. I'm uncertain at what point it's acceptable to overcharge for medications that may or may not work instead of doing actual work and find the root of the problem. "Ask google" can give a variety of diagnoses for free, we trust our family pets to veterinarians not Google so I would expect more than "hmmm let's try this next" I do not and will never recommend this practice again! Ive used the Florence Veterinary Hospital for years now...back when Dr. Noll was still there. Ive always had great experiences. I now have my dog see Dr. Dan- we love Dr. Dan and staff! They genuinely care about the animals in their care and I feel that I am valued as a customer and my dog is always treated like their own. I take no issue with the expense- Im sure I could find a cheaper vet to use however the love and care they show for their clients both two and four legged you can't put a price tag on. This is service that I would pay triple for! They have gone out of their way to help me several times by scheduling me in at the last minute or accommodating my crazy work schedule. They even sent me a sympathy card when my dog passed away. You rarely find service like that these days. They are THE BEST! Read Less

I've been visiting Dr. Davis for the three years that I have had my cats and he is the absolute best. He treats all his furry patients with the utmost care and attention and makes them comfortable so they are not scared. He is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares about the animals that come to see him. When my cat had uretha crystals that were life threatening he saw him and gave us a prescription food we needed even though we had no money at the time, and let us pay him on our next paycheck. Dr. Dan Davis took care of my beloved dog for around twelve years. He gave her the best of care. Dr.Davis is kind to dogs, cats, other animals, and even people! Seriously, he is a great listener and does everything possible to provide the best of care to your pet. I would recommend him as the most caring vet your pet could have! Read Less

He is a great guy, but he charges way too much. I got charged $175 for a check up and shots. That is ridiculous when I can go to petsmart and get them for 57...I am not going here anymore. Dr. Davis did a really good job, I had a pregnant dog that needed to have a x-ray to see how many puppy she would be having. I didn't want to think she was done and later find out she had one stuck. I am new to the area and did not have a local vet at this time. I called around 7 different vet offices in the area and all of them were charging over $200 for the x-ray alone (NOT) the exam. He was only 130 and that was including the exam and all. It is a small office but the staff was really friendly and it was very clean.
