Not sure where that awful review came from? Never had any problems with any staff or vet. I went to the original office off KY18 for over 11 years with our two cats. Moo Shoo lived 15 yrs and Kung Poa just passed away at 17 years. They lived longer than any of our other pets and I am
sure it helped having good care. I would agree the pricing is not low. They were very kind when the end came. I would recommend them.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the amazing veterinarians and veterinary technicians at Pet Wellness Group. We moved half an hour away, and we still make the drive because we wouldn't dream of taking our fur babies anywhere else. This wonderful group has been with us through the happy times of meeting new pets and keeping them healthy with routine care, and has given us endless compassion during the hard times of illness and loss. They treat our pets as though they were their own. Our most recent experience involved pancreatitis so severe and long-lasting (several weeks) that we truly thought we were going to lose our beloved little doxie. They saved his life through their outstanding skill and genuine kindness, and we couldn't be more grateful.

I absolutely love the staff at Pet Wellness Group. They have always taken great car of my cat and dog and I couldn't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. Comparatively speaking, I think they charge a bit on the higher end, but it hasn't ever felt unreasonable. The staff is friendly and caring and they always make a point to know my pet's name (even if they're just referring to their records, that means a lot to me). They also do a great job of keeping the environment clean which was a huge deciding factor when I was looking at where to take my pets.
You want quality in your own doctor, both in cleanliness and bedside manner, don't you? Why wouldn't you look for the same in your vet?
If you choose to visit Pet Wellness Group, you won't be disappointed.

The owner is rude, condescending and is ruthless with her conversations. Whatever she says is the way it's going to be. She talks over people and doesn't listen. She's a bully and uses those tactics when speaking to you. She won't shut up until she gets her way. They are super expensive and only trying to make a buck off of you and your pets issues. The only good things about this office are Maria & Dr. Wood, they both deserve better than working for the owner. Dr. Wood should open her own office, she's fantastic! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!

I take my cat samwise here and its wonderful. I never have to wait long, the vets are great and offer good advice. I have his checkups here and got him neutered here and while you pay slightly more than other places, it's totally worth it for the attention and care they get. The office is always clean and all the staff are super friendly and remember my cat by name as soon as I walk in, which is super important to me. If I could, I'd give them more stars!

Had a very poor experience with this vet. I called before I made my appointment for my ferret I just bought. They told me the price would be $150 for the total package. My first visit they did the fecal exam, distemper booster, dewormer, the works. I had to make another appointment for his rabies and another distemper booster. My first visit was $130 alone. The second time I brought him in they were wanting to do everything all over again! His fecal exam came back normal the first time and I found no worms whatsoever between exams. They didn't even ask if it was okay...they were just going to do everything I had already had done. And when I told them I didn't want a fecal exam again because everything came back normal 3 weeks before they got an attitude with me and asked me sternly "so you're refusing the test???" The final thing that upset me was the fact that they said he needed to come in again for another distemper vaccine. When I bought him he had one...and needed two more...not 3! My last appointment costs me about $125 bc I refused the $30 fecal exam, but they did manage to sneek in another dewormer for $20!!...altogether $250! And they wanted me to come in again...so that would have been $350 if I had done everything they wanted... for a healthy baby ferret...come on. And you shouldn't make people feel uncomfortable because they don't want something done. You were rude and dishonest and were just straight out trying to rip me off!!! I'm happy everyone else has had a pleasant experience with this vet, which is why I called them in the first place... but that was not the case with my family. :(

I can't say enough great things about this place. Not only was the doctor incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but she was compassionate and empathetic as well. I brought in a new patient and he was treated so well, was seen almost immediately and at a price I was able to afford. My best friend, Colby, is doing much better now and I have this amazing team of outstanding women to thank. I won't go anywhere else, they've more than earned my business. Purchased medicine that my cat was on and has been on before. So I am well aware how much to give. Called 2 days into the medication because I could tell there was not going to be enough. Obviously it was mixed wrong. Suppose to be given for 7 days. The vet said don't worry about the last three doses. What???? You just told me how bad it was and you want me to stop the medicine. Instead of admitting they made a mistake they wanted me to purchase another $40 bottle. We have two cats that have been going there for over 4 years and this is how we are treated.
Come to find out all medicine is over priced. Go online and it's half the price just have them write a prescription.
I want healthy cats and someone who cares if the medicine was mixed right.
I would not recommend this vet at all. I plan to let people know of my experience when I am asked. I have referred people here and will not in the future.

I've been taking my pets here since 2003. Numerous cats and two dogs. I first met these awesome folks just after a rather big move (Cats are sensitive to moving!), my boy Zorro got this awful acne thing going on his chin; I was afraid of how he'd act towards THIS Vet, since the last Vet I went to (who I think is now out of business), said to me after handling Zorro - "do not bring this cat back here, EVER again". He had to be muzzled, he was so scared (Zorro, not the Vet). Anyhoo, these gals treated us lovingly and didn't seem phased that Zorro prefers his humans raw and bloody! So I decided to make them my permanent Vet. Not only are they ALL so sweet, kind and caring, but they have dedicated employees who have been there 'forever'. In the past ten years I can't tell you how many times I have visited; some for just regular check ups (vaccinations, neuterings, etc.) and some for life-threatening situations. They will be very candid with you about treatment (if it's terminal, what your options are, etc.) and the price, in my opinion, is VERY reasonable. Dr.'s Wilson & Hungler are dynamite people, and the staff!!! They are super understanding, and when you have to have your pet put down from old age... they will stand in there and cry with you. Heck I even talked to Maria very recently about Zorro, she remembered him, even though she's not seen him or treated him in ten years. They are truly great people and I will not take my pets anywhere else. THEY CARE, which is what is of course, the most important thing to us pet-mommies and daddies who ADORE our pets.

Yesterday we had to euthanize our 13 and a half year old miniature Schnauzer. The entire staff was caring and helpful throughout the entire process. Although they already had appointments booked at the time we needed to do this, they accomodated us in our time of need. I'm thankful that our pet was in the caring and loving hands of the Oakbrook staff.

We took our cat here to get his booster shot. When setting up the appointment over the phone the desk person told us that no exam fee would be charged since we just wanted the shot and our cat had already been there 3 weeks ago. However, she still charged a $50 exam fee! Even after we specifically said we were told this would not be charged. No matter what we said, they would not waive the fee, which they didn't even examine him for more than five minutes and this fee is almost twice as much as the cost of the shot. We canceled our other cat's appointment and will never go to this vet again. Do not go here - they will say anything to get you in the door and then charge ridiculous fees. Middendorf is much better.

I absolutely love the staff at Pet Wellness Group. They have always taken great car of my cat and dog and I couldn't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. Comparatively speaking, I think they charge a bit on the higher end, but it hasn't ever felt unreasonable. The staff is friendly and caring and they always make a point to know my pet's name (even if they're just referring to their records, that means a lot to me). They also do a great job of keeping the environment clean which was a huge deciding factor when I was looking at where to take my pets.
You want quality in your own doctor, both in cleanliness and bedside manner, don't you? Why wouldn't you look for the same in your vet?
If you choose to visit Pet Wellness Group, you won't be disappointed.

The owner is rude, condescending and is ruthless with her conversations. Whatever she says is the way it's going to be. She talks over people and doesn't listen. She's a bully and uses those tactics when speaking to you. She won't shut up until she gets her way. They are super expensive and only trying to make a buck off of you and your pets issues. The only good things about this office are Maria & Dr. Wood, they both deserve better than working for the owner. Dr. Wood should open her own office, she's fantastic! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!

I take my cat samwise here and its wonderful. I never have to wait long, the vets are great and offer good advice. I have his checkups here and got him neutered here and while you pay slightly more than other places, it's totally worth it for the attention and care they get. The office is always clean and all the staff are super friendly and remember my cat by name as soon as I walk in, which is super important to me. If I could, I'd give them more stars!

Had a very poor experience with this vet. I called before I made my appointment for my ferret I just bought. They told me the price would be $150 for the total package. My first visit they did the fecal exam, distemper booster, dewormer, the works. I had to make another appointment for his rabies and another distemper booster. My first visit was $130 alone. The second time I brought him in they were wanting to do everything all over again! His fecal exam came back normal the first time and I found no worms whatsoever between exams. They didn't even ask if it was okay...they were just going to do everything I had already had done. And when I told them I didn't want a fecal exam again because everything came back normal 3 weeks before they got an attitude with me and asked me sternly "so you're refusing the test???" The final thing that upset me was the fact that they said he needed to come in again for another distemper vaccine. When I bought him he had one...and needed two more...not 3! My last appointment costs me about $125 bc I refused the $30 fecal exam, but they did manage to sneek in another dewormer for $20!!...altogether $250! And they wanted me to come in again...so that would have been $350 if I had done everything they wanted... for a healthy baby ferret...come on. And you shouldn't make people feel uncomfortable because they don't want something done. You were rude and dishonest and were just straight out trying to rip me off!!! I'm happy everyone else has had a pleasant experience with this vet, which is why I called them in the first place... but that was not the case with my family. :(

I can't say enough great things about this place. Not only was the doctor incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but she was compassionate and empathetic as well. I brought in a new patient and he was treated so well, was seen almost immediately and at a price I was able to afford. My best friend, Colby, is doing much better now and I have this amazing team of outstanding women to thank. I won't go anywhere else, they've more than earned my business. Last week we had to make a really hard decision to put down our 13 year old chocolate lab/chesapeake bay retriever. Words cannot express how supportive Dr. Wilson and the staff were during such a sad time. Purchased medicine that my cat was on and has been on before. So I am well aware how much to give. Called 2 days into the medication because I could tell there was not going to be enough. Obviously it was mixed wrong. Suppose to be given for 7 days. The vet said don't worry about the last three doses. What???? You just told me how bad it was and you want me to stop the medicine. Instead of admitting they made a mistake they wanted me to purchase another $40 bottle. We have two cats that have been going there for over 4 years and this is how we are treated.
Come to find out all medicine is over priced. Go online and it's half the price just have them write a prescription.
I want healthy cats and someone who cares if the medicine was mixed right.
I would not recommend this vet at all. I plan to let people know of my experience when I am asked. I have referred people here and will not in the future.

I've been taking my pets here since 2003. Numerous cats and two dogs. I first met these awesome folks just after a rather big move (Cats are sensitive to moving!), my boy Zorro got this awful acne thing going on his chin; I was afraid of how he'd act towards THIS Vet, since the last Vet I went to (who I think is now out of business), said to me after handling Zorro - "do not bring this cat back here, EVER again". He had to be muzzled, he was so scared (Zorro, not the Vet). Anyhoo, these gals treated us lovingly and didn't seem phased that Zorro prefers his humans raw and bloody! So I decided to make them my permanent Vet. Not only are they ALL so sweet, kind and caring, but they have dedicated employees who have been there 'forever'. In the past ten years I can't tell you how many times I have visited; some for just regular check ups (vaccinations, neuterings, etc.) and some for life-threatening situations. They will be very candid with you about treatment (if it's terminal, what your options are, etc.) and the price, in my opinion, is VERY reasonable. Dr.'s Wilson & Hungler are dynamite people, and the staff!!! They are super understanding, and when you have to have your pet put down from old age... they will stand in there and cry with you. Heck I even talked to Maria very recently about Zorro, she remembered him, even though she's not seen him or treated him in ten years. They are truly great people and I will not take my pets anywhere else. THEY CARE, which is what is of course, the most important thing to us pet-mommies and daddies who ADORE our pets.

Yesterday we had to euthanize our 13 and a half year old miniature Schnauzer. The entire staff was caring and helpful throughout the entire process. Although they already had appointments booked at the time we needed to do this, they accomodated us in our time of need. I'm thankful that our pet was in the caring and loving hands of the Oakbrook staff.

We took our cat here to get his booster shot. When setting up the appointment over the phone the desk person told us that no exam fee would be charged since we just wanted the shot and our cat had already been there 3 weeks ago. However, she still charged a $50 exam fee! Even after we specifically said we were told this would not be charged. No matter what we said, they would not waive the fee, which they didn't even examine him for more than five minutes and this fee is almost twice as much as the cost of the shot. We canceled our other cat's appointment and will never go to this vet again. Do not go here - they will say anything to get you in the door and then charge ridiculous fees. Middendorf is much better.
